A disturbing case of mob violence has surfaced from Hapur, highlighting the growing menace of mobocracy. A young man was allegedly surrounded and brutally beaten by a crowd on the street, even as he repeatedly pleaded, “She’s my wife,” according to a viral video of the incident.
The incident took place in the city police station area, where the man had reportedly gone to his in-laws’ house to take his wife back home. An argument broke out between the couple on the road after the woman refused to go with him, which soon escalated.
