Caught on CCTV: Speeding Bike Hurls Elderly Man Into Air in Sri Ganganagar, Rider Flees Scene

An elderly man was seriously injured after being hit by a speeding motorcycle in Sri Ganganagar district of Rajasthan, with the shocking incident captured on CCTV cameras.

The accident took place around 6:15 pm on Monday (2 Feb 2026) near Pirkhana, Ward No. 23 in Padampur. According to eyewitnesses, the biker was travelling at high speed when he crashed into the senior citizen.

The impact was so severe that the victim, identified as Satpal Soni, a resident of Ward No. 6, was thrown into the air and landed headfirst on the road. He was reportedly on his way to the market with a woman from his neighbourhood when the crash occurred.

Locals rushed to the spot after hearing the loud impact and shifted the injured man to a nearby private hospital. He sustained serious injuries to his head and leg, and his condition is reported to be critical.

The biker fled the scene immediately after the accident.

CCTV footage of the incident has since surfaced on social media and gone viral, triggering outrage among local residents over reckless driving in the area.

Following a complaint filed by the victim’s family at the Padampur Police Station, police have registered a case and launched an investigation. Officials said the CCTV footage is being examined to identify and trace the biker responsible for the crash.

Residents have also demanded stricter traffic control measures and installation of speed breakers, stating that frequent overspeeding in the area poses a serious threat to pedestrians, especially the elderly and children.
