00:00Hello there, good morning. It's the first week of meteorological spring and for some
00:05that will bring some sunshine today, but for others it's set to be another damp day on
00:09offer, particularly across Scotland, north-west England, eventually into Wales and south-west
00:14England. We've got this system draped across the country, it's fairly slow moving, so for
00:18some it's going to bring some quite persistent spells of rain, so quite a wet Monday on offer.
00:23The good news is though, to the south of this, lots of dry weather, lots of sunshine and
00:27some slightly milder temperatures as well, so feeling pleasant where we do see any sunny
00:31spells. Highs reaching around 14 to 15 degrees Celsius and much lighter winds as well, so
00:37it is certainly going to be feeling more like spring here. Now to the north-west of Scotland,
00:41Northern Ireland, once again we will see some bright if not sunny spells and we can't rule
00:45out some showers just moving through later into the afternoon. Now this evening we do
00:51still have this system slowly edging its way south-eastwards, any rain largely fizzling
00:56out through the course of the night, though there will still be some spots of drizzle
01:00by the time we reach Tuesday morning. To the north of this though, skies clearing nicely,
01:04but that does mean temperatures are going to dip away, so a much chillier night across Scotland,
01:09Northern Ireland, northern parts of England, likely some patchy frost as well, but anywhere
01:13where we see cloudier skies, that will hold up to the temperatures to around the mid-single
01:18figures. So a bit of a north-south split in the weather to start on Tuesday, but once again
01:24any clouds should be largely fizzling away. Tuesday is really when we start to see high
01:28pressure build, so once again many of us should see a dry, settled day, lots of sunshine around
01:33and fairly light winds, so definitely feeling like spring by the time we get to Tuesday.
01:37Now we do still have this system just lingering across central and south-eastern parts of England,
01:42so perhaps a bit cloudier in these areas with some drizzle in places, but hopefully breaking
01:47up enough into the afternoon to allow some brighter spells to break through. Temperatures still
01:51above average for the time of year, highs reaching around 14 degrees Celsius, though a little
01:55bit cooler in northern areas, but this is probably where we'll see the best of the sunshine.
02:01Now for the rest of the week, high pressure still stays with us, it slowly drifts its way
02:05eastwards, this will bring in a bit more of a southerly flow of air, so once again bringing
02:09in some slightly warmer air, so some mild temperatures into the middle part of the week certainly possible,
02:14but it will really depend on how much cloud we see and how much cloud that will break
02:19up to allow those temperatures to increase a little bit more. But for more information
