00:00Hello there, good morning. There's some rain in the forecast this week. Not loads of it but certainly a good
00:06sprinkle in some areas where we haven't seen rain in almost two months. To start off this morning, quite a
00:12few areas will probably still be rather dry but there's quite a lot of cloud around so it's going to
00:17be a grey, perhaps quite dreary start to the day. Some rain and drizzle possible across Scotland, parts of Northern
00:23Ireland, perhaps northwest England. Still not loads of rain but enough to create quite a grey day.
00:30And I think certainly later on into the day most of that cloud will have cleared away allowing some brighter
00:34spells to develop but still across England and Wales we could expect the odd shower by the afternoon. Many areas
00:41though still remaining dry. Temperatures will also come down certainly across the north, more towards average here. Feeling that bit
00:48cooler across Scotland, temperatures between 16 to 17 degrees Celsius here. We can see still many areas of central southern
00:55England, parts of Wales still in the mid to high 20s so feeling warm in the
00:59brighter spells but not quite as hot as it has done over the last few days. Now to finish off
01:06the day we'll see a mix of clouds, some clearer skies and still that cloud will be thick enough to
01:10produce some light outbreaks of rain and drizzle. More towards the far north where we'll see the bulk of any
01:16rain and drizzle so Scotland, Northern Ireland, still some western areas so parts of Wales, southwest England could see the
01:22odd spot of rain by the morning.
01:23But actually still many areas remaining dry and still a fair amount of cloud to start the day on Monday.
01:29Temperatures fairly similar to the night before so not too warm for many areas but towns and cities still holding
01:35up around the mid-teens. Perhaps still a little bit warmer across the London area. Temperatures not dropping much below
01:4117 degrees in parts of the southeast.
01:44Now on Monday it's going to be a bit more of a changeable day across the north. We've got a
01:49weather system towards the northwest bringing in quite widespread outbreaks of rain across parts of Scotland, Northern England and also
01:55Northern Ireland at times and that actually could turn a bit heavy especially later into the afternoon as it pushes
02:02up over any high ground. Perhaps a bit gusty at times too. Some central areas may pick up some showers
02:08as a result of plenty more cloud feeding through but still many areas of the south are going to be
02:13remaining dry.
02:13And it's probably going to be feeling quite humid as well with the rain still the fairly warm temperatures as
02:19well. Highs reaching around 28 degrees Celsius across parts of the southeast. And temperatures not too dissimilar to what we
02:26see this afternoon across parts of Scotland but a different feel in the air with more cloud and quite widespread
02:31outbreaks of rain.
02:33Now the question on many people's lips is are we going to see any more signs of rain especially in
02:39the southwest where some areas haven't seen much rain at all over the last two months. And the answer is
02:45yes and no. We're likely to see low pressure push into the northwest so this is where we'll see the
02:51bulk of the rain.
02:52But areas of the south will see some showers so we'll see very light outbreaks of rain. And I think
02:57by the end of the week most areas will see some rain even if it's not huge amounts. Not only
03:03that but temperatures are gradually going to be falling through the week as well. So towards the end of the
03:07week a little bit of rain feeling that little bit cooler but likely still quite warm in the sunshine. Don't
