Trussville, Alabama's Grandview Medical Center Freestanding Emergency Department opened in May, 2023. The city has recently welcomed medical practices to set up larger operations in the community. Are they able to handle the inevitable problems that will arise related to service? After my negative patient experience in 2019 with this hospital I can not recommend them and urge caution.

I share My 9/27/23 phone call to CEO Daniel McKinney of Grandview Medical Center (located off highway 280, Birmingham, Alabama). Regarding failed attempts to reach Grandview Neurology & Dr. Kyle Hudgens MD: The practice & doctors who failed to provide adequate services to me as a patient in a 2019 visit. I am still receiving bills from this 4 years following the actual appointment with neurologist Kyle Hudgens MD.

I was connected to a receptionist who identifies by the name "Ronnie", she proceeds to ask my DOB to access my personal health info (medical chart). I request her last name, to which she refuses (she offers to give "her initials"), then I tell her unless I am given a first and last name of the staff, I cannot continue speaking to her about my personal health information. I am denied again and then hung up on. I was not offered to be transferred to any representative who would tell me who I am talking to, this unacceptable for a legitimate business making this much money. Doctors Natalya Belotserkovskaya, M.D., James Strong, M.D. & Stephen P. Suggs, M.D., FAHA, FAAN are also employed here.

Grandview Medical Center is one of the largest hospitals in Alabama (434 beds). The office I called employees specialist MDs who make around $140 per hour ($260,000 annual salary (ONE OF THE HIGHEST PAID PROFESSIONS IN THE USA, 2023)) after obtaining a bachelor's degree from a medical university (4 years PLUS 3 to 7 years in internship and residency programs), anonymous staff representing such medical doctors is not professional in my opinion. Prospective medical patients considering this hospital & MD's take note of my experience.

Attempts bring negligence issues to the responsible parties have not been successful over 4 years, my calls to Grandview are never returned.

Re: A bill I received in August, 2023 from ARC Management Group based out of Kennesaw, GA for a Grandview Neurology / Kyle Hudgens MD medical visit I wasted my time & money getting involved with in 2019. 4 years later, I have tried to contact them about my visit several times and calls are never returned. I am still waiting on proper service for my injury which I DID NOT receive in that visit. Hudgens should have been a MD of adequate skill to assess my condition but simply stated he could not explain my pain. He foolishly recommended I do range of motion exercises (I may have fractured the foramen magnum of my skull - SEE IMAGES). This MD also withheld medical records in a formal request (HIPAA) - I REQUESTED EVERYTHING - BUT what is listed as "Form 6/12" was not given to me.

00:00All right, as always, you can go to YouTube channel My Medical Nightmare and see 40 plus
00:07hours video on everything that happened to me.
00:10All right, the city of Trustville, Alabama, USA, sells out its townsfolk by inviting
00:16corrupt hospitals into its community.
00:20And there's two of these so-called freestanding emergency departments that are springing up
00:28within the Trustville city limits.
00:31The Grandview Medical Center freestanding emergency department opened in May 2023.
00:38I had big problems as a patient and a paying customer dealing with this hospital.
00:44And I have another location off of Highway 280 in Birmingham, Alabama.
00:50I'll play my recorded telephone calls to Grandview.
00:55And this will elaborate my issues.
00:58I cannot recommend if you have a health issue, you call or go to this Grandview freestanding
01:07emergency department.
01:08When I had problems and tried to follow up on them, I dealt with people who would not give
01:14me a first and last name.
01:16They were using pseudonyms, fake names, and nicknames.
01:19I paid $300 to see a Grandview Neurology brain specialist about a very serious head trauma-based
01:28broken skull injury that I dealt with in 2019.
01:32This guy misdiagnosed me.
01:35And you can see my experience dealing with Grandview in many hours of video on this YouTube
01:42channel.
01:42My own feeling is that the city of Trussell is going to regret their decision to allow
01:50these medical practices to operate within the city.
01:55Trussell is simply not big enough to handle the types of issues that are going to arise.
02:02If you're dealing with serious injuries that may cost into the tens, hundreds, a thousand
02:09of dollars, millions of dollars to treat, you can't afford to deal with so-called professionals
02:14that won't give you a real name.
02:17Unfortunately, in the state of Alabama, many medical practices, doctors' offices, and hospitals
02:24do abide by this practice.
02:28And the state of Alabama Medical Board will not help you when you go to them about these
02:35matters.
02:35I've been there and done that.
02:37You can go to my video channel, and I've got recorded phone calls with all of these people.
02:41Just take a listen, and you'll see the truth and the reality.
02:46Grab the operator.
02:47May I help you?
02:48Yes, ma'am.
02:48I'm trying to reach the office of CEO Daniel McKinney.
02:51One moment.
02:52Thank you for calling Grandview Administration.
02:54I was a patient for Grandview Neurology, Dr. Kyle Hudgens, MD.
03:00I called their office yesterday, September 26, 2023, to discuss billing and service issues
03:07that arose during my visit.
03:08Had a broken skull injury I was dying from.
03:11I showed the doctor, printed out an x-ray CT MRI showing the injury clearly.
03:17Dr. Hudgens, looking at the same images, told me no injury appeared there.
03:22He provided no useful service in my visit, $265 cash.
03:27I would like to inform the CEO that Grandview Neurology staff now use pseudonyms, nicknames,
03:34and false names when dealing with the public.
03:37I was hung up on when requesting a first and last name from the staff I talked to.
03:42She identified herself as Ronnie.
03:45At the same time, the representative for the MD make $140 an hour after going to school for 10 years.
03:52They request access to patients' PHI personal health data.
03:56They seek to remain anonymous.
03:58In my case, this practice is now being abused because it's being used to conceal negligence and liability.
04:05Also, a HIPAA issue is involved, withholding medical records.
04:08When I talk to someone about a million-dollar health issue, I'm going to have to have a first and
04:14last name for my records keeping before I talk to that person.
04:18That's professional.
04:20Your customers and patients who pay you money will not accept this corrupt practice, and it will one day soon
04:26be done away with, mandated by law.
04:29So you heard it here first.
04:30Still trying to talk to someone at Grandview about my bill, and you can reach me at that phone number.
04:35Look forward to talking to you, sir.
04:38Thank you for calling Grandview Medical Group Neurology, the office of Drs. Kyle Hudgens, Rodney Swilley, James Strong, Drew Uric,
04:49Stephen Suggs, and Natalia B.
04:51Hello.
04:52I'm trying to reach Ronnie.
04:54This is her.
04:55Yes, ma'am.
04:55I called yesterday regarding my bill and a visit with Kyle Hudgens.
05:01One second.
05:02What's your date of birth?
05:02Okay.
05:03Do you have a last name?
05:04I'm not giving you my last name, sir.
05:07Okay.
05:07I'll give you my initial.
05:09Okay.
05:10Grandview doesn't give the first and last names of people that deal with the public.
05:14I can give you my first name and my last initial, sir, but I do not give out my last
05:18name.
05:18No, ma'am.
05:19You'll give me your first and last name, or I can't talk to you.
05:22Okay.
05:22Well, unfortunately, I will not be able to talk to you then.
05:24Thank you, and you have a good day.
05:25Thank you for calling Grandview Medical Group Neurology, the office of Drs. Kyle Hudgens,
05:33Rodney Swilley, James Strong, Drew Uric, Stephen Suggs, and Natalia B.
