00:26Alright, in August, I filed this complaint with the Florida Department of Health against
00:36Dr. Wayne Broth, and this was in reference to a free MRI review that he gave me over the
00:49telephone.
00:50This is an example of telemedicine.
00:54He had a New Jersey cell phone number, may have been in the state of Florida, that's
01:03where his medical practice is listed as.
01:06He works with Dr. Scott Katzman, Orthopedic and Laser Spine Surgery, 3355 Burns Road, number
01:16304, Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, 33410.
01:22I found this practice on the internet.
01:25They have a website, and they invite prospective patients to send in their MRI images to be
01:34reviewed independently by their state of Florida licensed medical doctors.
01:41And I'll put up the links to the call I had with Wayne Broth.
01:47Yeah, I recorded all my phone calls.
01:50I sent in many of my medical records, the MRI images themselves.
01:58And you hear, when I got on the phone with this doctor, he did not acknowledge my injuries
02:07that are very obvious in these scans.
02:11The injuries are there, nonetheless.
02:14I had broken the underside of my skull, and broken bone is clearly visible.
02:20After about a year, this wound had gone untreated, unacknowledged, and a massive infection began
02:27to set in, and I almost died from whatever was going on with me.
02:33So, Dr. Scott Katzman and Wayne J. Broth, Orthopedic and Laser Spine Surgery of Florida and New
02:41Jersey, are they looking at the actual MRI pictures, or do they simply read the erroneous reports
02:52that doctors may issue patients?
02:54That's the question here.
02:56This was a very awkward experience, because it took Dr. Broth and Dr. Scott Katzman's office,
03:08Orthopedic and Laser Spine Surgery, five months to get back in touch with me, after I made
03:13my inquiry via email.
03:18This is not professional turnaround time.
03:21So, finally, at the end of July, I was given a cell phone number to Dr. Broth, and he called
03:28me one Friday night.
03:30Please go listen to that call, and I may add it at the end of this video also.
03:35So, yeah, anyway, the doctor tried to argue with me about the existence of the injuries
03:43in these scans.
03:46When I simply asked his first name, because they only gave me the name Dr. Broth, I asked
03:55his first name, and then he abruptly ended our telephone conversation.
04:01So, that's very shady.
04:05This sparked my complaint to the Florida Department of Health.
04:12Dr. Broth, I received your voicemail.
04:14I'll give you a shout back whenever you get a chance.
04:16Can you tell me what state you're calling from?
04:19Uh, we're in Florida.
04:21Florida and New Jersey.
04:22So, did you have a chance to look at these images?
04:26I do, I do.
04:27I saw, yeah.

04:29There, there, you had a lot of scans, uh, in the past.
04:32Uh, what was the reason for that?
04:33Are you a doctor?
04:35I am.
04:36Okay.
04:36If you look at the scans, uh, the issue is pretty obvious.
04:42Okay, which is what?
04:44Okay, well, you're the doctor.
04:46Uh, you didn't see the massive injury?
04:49I didn't.
04:50You didn't, okay.
04:52Uh, can you tell me your, your background?
04:54Uh, what's your, what's your specialty?
04:57Sure, so I'm internal medicine.
04:59Internal medicine, okay.
05:01Uh, now, I contacted, uh, Dr. Katzman, uh, laser spine surgery.
05:06Do you have those images in front of you now?
05:08I do.
05:10All right, so I called, uh, Dr. Scott Katzman, laser spine surgery.
05:14So, what do you do in regards to, uh, you know, like, like bone issues, orthopedic issues,
05:20to relate to the spine?
05:21Yeah, it all depends on what the issue is.
05:23We do multiple different procedures, multiple different surgeries, so it all depends on
05:28what the problem is, what the symptoms are, what the imaging findings are.
05:32Okay.
05:33Are you a radiologist?
05:35I'm not.
05:36Okay, so when you look at these pictures, you, you can, uh, identify injuries necessarily?
05:43Uh, I typically can, but I don't see an injury on yours.
05:46Okay, uh, so do you have all of these images in front of you now?
05:51Um, what do you mean by all?
05:53All I have is an MRI, a couple, a couple pictures of the MRI.
05:57Okay.
05:58I've got an image here, and it's, uh, numbered, uh, 34.

06:07Okay, well, uh, is there any way I could get these, uh, pictures to you so you can send

06:12Because I have a very, uh, serious injury.

06:22That's a good question.

06:23But, uh, yeah, anyways, in these pictures, you can see, uh, my injury very clearly.
06:28So I had, uh, infection grow, and it grew out to about six inches in diameter that's present
06:34in the, the MRR pictures.
06:36So you didn't see that?
06:37Six inches diameter of an infection in my skull?
06:41I didn't.
06:42Who, no.
06:42Who told, did the radiologist tell you that you have an infection in the skull?
06:45Okay, well, you're, you're the doctor, so I was going to ask you what you thought about
06:50it.
06:51Uh, yeah, I don't see any evidence of infection.
06:54How do you know that you had an infection there in the skull?
06:56Okay, I will direct you to those images.
06:59If you can access them, the evidence is present in the pictures.
07:02So you don't know how you, you said that you broke the base of your skull, you don't know
07:06how you did that?
07:07Yeah, I don't, but, uh, almost died from this injury in 2019, and, uh, I went around to several,
07:14uh, hospitals, uh, doctors at that time and had these images, uh, taken, and they told
07:21me I had no injury.
07:22I knew better because I was dying.
07:24And then after several months, the infection and, uh, parasites said, and I had three inch
07:29long insects grow in this wound.
07:32The upper area of my neck beneath the crack in my skull.
07:36All right, so who told you that you had parasites growing in there?
07:39Okay, you're, you're the doctor, so I'm going to direct you to those images, please, and you'll
07:43see the evidence in the pictures.
07:45Yeah, you, you, you don't have any, I don't see any evidence of parasites in, in, in.
07:51Okay, see, see, what, could you give me your name, please?
07:54Is your doctor, Dr. Broth, what's your first name?
07:57Yeah, I, I, I, it's best that we don't, that, that we probably don't, uh, speak further,
08:03because I don't think that we're going to be a match for you.
08:05Okay, you, you, you're, you're not a real doctor, are you?
08:08Oh, yep, you're right, I'm not a real doctor, yep, exactly.
08:11Okay, um, yeah, you, you need to get some glasses and, um, go to, uh, go to medical school
08:17and you'll see what happened to me.
08:19And this is not a trivial matter at all, sir.
