00:0017 footballers look over 17 with that quality.
00:03Now that national footballer Karen Forbes has announced her intention to retire,
00:07she has begun planning her future.
00:09In the immediate, she intends to put more focus on her tournament in Tobago
00:12called Kick It with Karen, which goes into its 11th edition this year.
00:19I honestly will still be playing football.
00:22It's just not nationally because when I committed to doing my tournament,
00:27as you know, Kick It with Karen is now in its 11th year this year.
00:32And that tournament in particular takes up at least five, six months of the year,
00:38which is half of the year already.
00:40As for her journey in politics, she indicated she enjoyed the experience
00:44and embraced the result.
00:47Going into politics was just such a, I am all still shocked, you know,
00:52because of the space I was approached two years ago.
00:56And I thought about it.
00:59Now, one of the things that I really like doing outside of football and business
01:03is serving people, right?
01:06So I knew that aspect of politics is obviously going to be, like, really good for me, right?
01:15But, no, it has a morality of itself.
01:19So I took a really unique approach to it.
01:24So I wanted more to, even if I get my point across,
01:27I didn't necessarily want to attack somebody personally.
01:31And it was an extremely great experience to me.
01:37Forbes indicated that she congratulated the winning candidate
01:39and relished the opportunity of meeting party stalwarts.
01:43So I would have been able to meet the current political leader, Ms. Beckles.
01:49And, of course, I got to meet other stalwarts within GiveSpace,
01:53which was really cool, you know, because I think seeing these people on TV,
01:59and I am talking about it could be from any sphere or any color,
02:03because I, and that's another thing that I just wanted to touch on.
02:07And one of the, one of the persons from the other side reached out to me,
02:15hey, all the best, you know, and I was like,
02:18even when she got in, I don't want to call her name,
02:21but I, I wished her all the best.
02:22It doesn't matter, you know.
02:24So,
02:25I should have a question about it.
02:25So,
