Trinidad and Tobago has growing history of stellar performances at the World Championships. T&T's female Sprinter Leah Bertrand will be hoping to add to T&T's cache of success at the tournament when she competes on Saturday in the women's 100 meters. She enters the competition on the back of new personal and national accomplishments in the 2025 season.
00:00In 2009, there was Josanne Lucas, bronze medal in the final of the women's 400m hurdles of the world championships in Berlin, with a national record of 53.20 seconds.

00:20In 2015, there was Michelle Li Ayi, part of the bronze medal 4x100m relay team that set a national record of 42.03 seconds in the final of the world championships in Beijing.
