01:20Rathiram, Ram and Haynes all wrote to their constituents expressing disappointment that they will no longer be representing them.
01:30While it is naturally disappointing not to have been selected to contest this seat again,
01:35I fully accept and respect the decision of the leadership of our great party.
01:40Ram expresses the same disappointment but says it's not about political ambitions.
01:46He says it is about the larger picture, about putting our country first,
01:50about ensuring that the People's National Movement is removed from power.
01:55Meanwhile, Haynes did not join her colleagues in expressing steadfast commitment to the UNC
02:00and forcing the BNM out of government.
02:02Instead, she said,

02:08If we are serious about moving our country forward,
02:11then we must pay close attention to who is offering us workable solutions to the issues facing our nation.
