00:00All right, weekend's best, weekend's worst.
00:03We do it every week.
00:04You can send yours in.
00:05Clint, let's start with you.
00:07What was your weekend's best?
00:09I'm going to go with Cooper Cup in that NFC Championship game
00:12where the Seattle Seahawks ended up beating the L.A. Rams.
00:15Cooper Cup, they decided they were going to move on from Cooper Cup,
00:18the Rams, that is.
00:19He lands in the division in Seattle and, you know,
00:25pretty quiet in a sense of really all year long.
00:30Of, you know, what we had grown used to seeing at a Cooper Cup
00:36while he was an L.A. Ram.
00:39He was pretty quiet in Seattle throughout the year.
00:41Just a solid seat.
00:43Yeah, I mean, good, but, I mean, this is a guy that.
00:46Won the triple crown.
00:46Yeah, I mean, was one of the best for an extended period of time
00:49in all of football.
00:51Now he's taking a third-row seat in the Escalade
00:54to a couple of different guys.
00:55But last night had to be bittersweet for him.
00:58This is a double one for me, Ron.
01:01Not the same guy, but for two reasons.
01:02One, the performance.
01:04He caught the last touchdown to go up two scores, which was big.
01:08He caught the third and eight.
01:09I think it was third and eight.
01:09Maybe it was third and ten.
01:10Conversion on that last Seattle drive that allowed them to chew up
01:14the majority of the clock.
01:15And then the final, one of the final third downs in that particular drive,
01:22he drew a holding call, which allowed Seattle to literally milk that clock
01:27all the way down to, I think, 25 seconds by the time L.A. touched it again.
01:32So just playing such a big role, scoring, and playing such a big role
01:36in that last drive where his team was able to milk the majority of the clock
01:40and solidify an NFC championship and go to the Super Bowl
01:43had to be a bittersweet feeling for Cooper Cupp.
01:46The performance, number one.
01:48And maybe Cooper Cupp is not overall a guy that celebrates much.
01:54But I felt like watching it in the moment was he was going to go out there
01:58and do his deal and play well,
01:59but there was not going to be any mouthing off to his team.
02:03It seemed like watching it there was some love there for his old team
02:10and some appreciation for his old team in the moment.
02:13Maybe that's the way he's always played.
02:14I'll be honest with you.
02:14I haven't paid that much attention to Cooper Cupp over the years
02:17to see just kind of what his mannerisms are.
02:21But it seemed like me, and maybe it was me, but it seemed like just,
02:24hey, man, I'm going to go ahead and get this, my team get this dub,
02:27but I'm not going to show up my old squad.
02:29So I appreciate Cooper Cupp.
02:30Did you know he felt good, though?
02:32Oh, I had to feel good.
02:32You knew it.
02:33There's something deep down, deep.
02:34When somebody says they don't want you,
02:36and they'd rather go a different route, boy, to beat them is one thing.
02:39To be such a big part of it in the fourth quarter is another.
02:42All right, my weekend's best is I know a lot of people looked at this weekend,
02:47this Saturday, it's the first time, whether it be college or the NFL,
02:51that we hadn't had any kind of football on a Saturday.
02:55But for me, I mean, college basketball was front and center.
02:59And my weekend's best goes to the freshman performances on Saturday in college basketball.
03:07Multiple freshmen had big games, multiple freshmen.
03:10We had three freshmen go over 40 on Saturday in games,
03:15including Kingston Flemings, the guard here for the Houston Cougars,
03:20in a great game against Texas Tech.
03:22He had 42.
03:24Keaton Wagler, the Kansas City kid at Illinois, he had 46.
03:29And maybe the number one pick out there at BYU, A.J. Devonta.
03:34He had 43 points and went off.
03:37But Cam Boozer had 32.
03:40Your kid at Arkansas, he had 31 and I think 12 assists.
03:45He had a big game.
03:47It was just an amazing performance by freshmen around the country on Saturday,
03:53just going off and playing really well.
03:56So that's my weekend's best.
03:57Shout out to the freshmen in college basketball on Saturday.
04:00Yeah, that young fellow at Arkansas, that's the one I keep an eye on, man.
04:03He's a real deal, ain't he?
04:05Just got to get aggressive with getting them braids redone more often.
04:09Oh, he's not getting them braids redone often enough for you?
04:12About two or three weeks.
04:15I know somebody down there in Fayetteville.
04:17I know somebody's down there.
04:18Somebody.
04:19Somebody's down there braiding hair.
04:20He's got the money he's making.
04:21He can fly a barber in whenever he wants.
04:23I know he's got somebody on that campus that can braid him up.
04:26He's come on a couple of times.
04:27I'm like, serious?
04:28Come on, baby.
04:29All right, what's your weekend worst?
04:31My weekend's worst is the Chicago Bulls.
04:34I don't know if you guys saw this, but Derrick Rose was, his jersey was retired.
04:41They raised it up into the rafters, right?
04:44Did y'all, and I hope I'm wrong with this.
04:46I hope it's not true.
04:47Did y'all see the video of the lady that actually does, of the seamstress that does all their sewing?
04:51I didn't see this.
04:52I believe they recognized the lady, at least the video surface.
04:57Somebody figured out who she was.
04:59Maria Estella.
05:01Never heard this name.
05:02Grew up in Baytown.
05:02Never heard this name.
05:03Rincon Nino.
05:06I've heard Rincon.
05:07I've heard Nino.
05:08I've never heard Rincon Nino.
05:11Her last name, Pada.
05:13All right?
05:15Coach.
05:16She was literally sitting up there eye level with that jersey.
05:19Oh, they had her up there.
05:21I'm not kidding, Ron.
05:22They didn't have her on the floor?
05:24I bet 10 rows from the top.
05:26I bet 10 is max.
05:27And when they recognized, they put the light on her or something?
05:30I don't remember this part.
05:30I watched some of the Derrick Rose stuff.
05:32I'm hoping this video is what, I mean, it literally, it was too professionally done to not be.
05:36I mean, somebody took the time to post all the, like, her actually sewing and her sewing this particular banner.
05:42And the video posted next to her was somebody in the stands, you know, they recognize her or whatever.
05:48And they paint them and she's up screen.
05:49Yeah, yo, hey, how y'all doing?
05:50Bye, bye, bye, bye, bye.
05:51Ron, her hands damn near hit the ceiling.
05:54I mean, if you're the Chicago Bulls, man.
05:57You gotta have it.
05:58She gotta be on the floor with Derrick.
05:59You gotta be kidding me, man.
06:01I mean, even if it's a lady.
06:03Hey, they just said we're gonna get her in the building.
06:04Come on, man.
06:05They just said we're gonna get her in the building.
06:07I mean, the only, one, I hope this was not real.
06:11Two, if it were real, I hope she is such a big Chicago Bulls fan that she has season tickets
06:17and just can't afford anything better than where she was and told the club, hey, guys,
06:22I appreciate y'all trying to put me courtside with my feet on the wood, but I'm gonna sit
06:26up here with my family in these season tickets I got.
06:29Hopefully this wasn't, if the Bulls can't do no better than that, man, you gotta, come on.
06:34I mean, top-wrapped.
06:35I mean, she could literally, she may have been looking down on that damn, on that, on
06:39her, on her, on her so job, man.
06:42Uh, all right.
06:42My, uh, my weekend's worst goes out to the, uh, to the helpful a-hole that I ran into at
06:49HEB this weekend.
06:50Um, pretty embarrassing moment, uh, for me as, um, and if you're a man, just let him,
06:59just let this other man, just let a man struggle and figure it out.
07:03All right.
07:03I'm coming down the, uh, kind of the salad dressing and that aisle at HEB and I'm trying
07:11to get some bacon bits.
07:12Okay.
07:13All right.
07:13Is that my boy Ron?
07:15And they got some left, but they, they're pretty far back.
07:19They're like, we got two bags back there pretty far back.
07:23And I, if you would have gave me, you know, another 30 seconds, like I would have gotten,
07:29I would have gotten to it.
07:31Like I was about to pull it to me, but I'm trying to reach back and this man gonna come.
07:35Oh, don't worry, buddy.
07:36I got it.
07:37He said, don't worry.
07:38I help people all the time.
07:39This big, tall ass son of a, I got you.
07:42And he went in and he just grabbed it and said, here you go.
07:43This one you want.
07:45I said, thanks.
07:46Where's your wife and kids?
07:47I brought myself, but I wasn't the other, but I wasn't the other people down the aisle.
07:50Man, it was a full aisle.
07:51Hey man, back up.
07:53Dude, let me like, let me struggle.
07:54Don't come back here and just weaponize your height.
07:57Well, me, me, no, sit your ass back.
08:01And I just wanted to say it.
08:03Cause I've been up and I know live.
08:04Like, I will be honest, I was about to strain my calf on my tippy toes, pretty hard trying
08:09to reach back there.
08:10Were you going to step on the, on the, were you going to click?
08:12See, that's why he saved you.
08:13No, I didn't.
08:14No, I would, I would have rather it have gone down or broken.
08:17No, what would you have stepped on that damn rack and that thing would have fell over?
08:21I would have rather that happened than him come over.
08:24No.
08:24Than him come over and put his nuts on the top of my head and grab, and grab, and grab the
08:29bacon bits.
08:30I can actually help you here with this in case you ever come across it in the future.
08:33And he's going to say, don't worry, I do this all the time.
08:36Helps people that, like, you go over and reach over the top, man.
08:40It's like on his resume.
08:41I can really actually help you with this in the future.
08:43As a man whose, whose last job before this was stocking the international shelves of a
08:48section at all H-E-Bs in the Houston area.
08:51Anytime you're on an aisle, if you're in that situation, just look up above you on the very
08:54top of the shelves.
08:56Walk an aisle, every third or fourth aisle, there's bright yellow stools.
09:00And you can just take one down, set it down, get on it, use it, put it back out.
09:03I would have found a way to get it.
09:05I would have.
09:06I would have found.
09:07I would have found.
09:07I'm just sitting around H-E-B looking for a ride.
09:08Sitting around thinking to myself.
09:10I was sitting there thinking, damn, why is this thing so deep?
09:13Get out here.
09:14No, no, man.
09:15Don't do that.
09:16If you 6'3", 6'2", out here, you can reach.
09:19Just let that man struggle.
09:21Now, if it's a lady, I get it.
09:23No, he did what was right, man.
09:24If it's a lady, I get it.
09:25Or maybe a little person.
09:26I get it.
09:27Man, he did what was right.
09:28No, no, no, man.
09:29You better chill out, man.
09:30I felt so violated, I zipped my coat up.
09:34I zipped my damn coat up, man.
09:36And he came behind me.
09:38Like, came behind me over my hands outreached.
09:41He came and reached over mine.
09:42Breathing down your neck.
09:44I didn't even say thank you.
09:45I just stood there for a second.
09:46Damn, man.
09:47You're supposed to be fronting that product, man.
09:49I'd rather tore my calf muscle than you come over here.
09:52I got it.
09:52I do help people all the time.
