00:00I would like to state that no braineese or insects were harmed in the making of this program,
00:03and that none of the training you're about to see be attempted unless under expert supervision.
00:09Eight braineese, one challenge.
00:12To use complex mass of 100 billion cells we call Brain for chance to win Brain-Jitsu Black Brain Belt.
00:19This is Brain-Jitsu.
00:22Born in Lancashire, trained in Japan, with mind as sharp as samurai sword,
00:33he is Brain Master. He is the Sensei.
00:37Konnichiwa, and welcome to Brain-Jitsu.
00:42Mental training specially designed to boost brain power and focus.
00:47My trainees, or braineese, have been following a basic program of training in the comfort of their own home.
00:54A brain-boosting routine of exercise, sleep, and enough fruit and veg to stock a greengrocer's.
01:02I'm secretly quite confident, because the training was quite easy, so I think I'm going to win.
01:06I'm really good at netball, so I think it will help me with the tasks that I do.
01:10Now my braineese must put their training into practice.
01:13By testing a part of their brain we use every day.
01:16Take a look at this tin of Brain-Jitsu beans.
01:23Now, try to find it amongst all the other tins.
01:28Spotted, eh? Congratulations!
01:31You've just used your occipital lobes.
01:33This area, the seeing part of our brain, allows us to recognise and separate images from each other.
01:40The seven braineese who use their occipital lobes the best will be allowed to enter my Brain-Jitsu Dojo, where their training will continue.
01:49The one who fails will be left outside.
01:52Oh!
01:53Feel the burn.
01:55Enter the Dojo!
01:57Braineese must answer four questions by counting the different coloured shapes on the board in front of them.
02:04Get them right, and they'll be left with a four-digit code, which they must then use to unlock a piece of brain and secure their place in the Dojo.
02:11But with only seven pieces of brain and eight braineese, one of either Cameron, Anisha, Lawrence, Paminda, Robert, Bethany, James or Emma will be left outside and eliminated.
02:25As the four questions are revealed, our braineese are more nervous than the sumo at his weekly diet club weigh-in.
02:34How many small black circles are there?
02:40How many blue squares are there?
02:46How many squares are there?
02:52How many green shapes are there?
02:55The answer our braineese are looking for is two, one, four, five.
03:06Cameron's first up, but has he got the right code?
03:09A few more braineese follow suit, but brainy Bethany has already got the right code and claimed her place in the Dojo.
03:18Don't forget the code our braineese are looking for is two, one, four, five,
03:22as there are two small black circles, one blue square, four squares and five green shapes.
03:29James takes second place, with Lawrence coming third, and Cameron claims that fourth place in the Dojo.
03:40As Robert gets the code and that fifth piece of brain, Emma is looking distracted.
03:44The key to this task is to stay calm and really focus on getting the answers right.
03:51Don't rush and don't be put off by the others around you.
03:54Anisha runs to the yellow piece of brain, just as Paminda cracks the code and gets the blue,
04:01leaving just Emma and Anisha to battle it out for the last place in the Dojo.
04:07Emma and Anisha both are opposite ends of the noodle bar.
04:10They must stay calm and focus only on working out the answer.
04:13Emma looks like she's been inspired, and it's truly a eureka moment, because she's got the code right.
04:22So, Emma's in, and Anisha is out.
04:28As Seven enter the Dojo for a chance to survive six more gruelling levels of brain training,
04:33for Anisha, the dream of the black brain belt has ended before it even started.
04:37I feel upset and a bit disappointed, but overall it was a fun task to do.
04:43I think the person who might have a chance in winning is either Lawrence or Bethany.
04:49So, with six levels to go, only Bethany, James, Lawrence, Cameron, Robert, Paminda and Emma
04:56have entered the Dojo and achieved the first of their coloured brain belts.
05:02I'm really glad about being first.
05:04My strength is a concentration task, because I can stay concentrated quite well.
05:08Maths is one of my stronger points at school, so hopefully there's more of them to come.
05:15When it was just us two battling, like, I started to get really nervous.
05:21In this next level of training, things are going to get really hard.
05:28Level two.
05:29Warren's about.
05:30We do things every day without even thinking, like eating with a knife and fork.
05:38Now, try swapping them over, whoa, and see how you get on.
05:42I prefer chopsticks, mate.
05:45If you manage to do that, you're using part of your brain that deals with problem solving,
05:50the frontal lobes.
05:51And that's what level two is all about.
05:55Taking something you normally do without thinking, and doing it differently.
06:00Work it!
06:01To prepare them for using their frontal lobes in the next challenge, my brainees are going to need some training.
06:07Room of Mental Nourishment.
06:09The Room of Mental Nourishment is where our young hopefuls will train their brains to help them progress to the next levels of the dojo.
06:17The more seriously they take their training, the better chance they'll have of rising to the challenges that lie ahead.
06:23And in level two, that challenge is all about getting their brains to think in a new way.
06:28Brain training.
06:29Take it in turns to call out the action on your cards.
06:33Everyone has to do it the opposite.
06:36Right knee up.
06:38Look at Stephen.
06:40Both palms up.
06:43Shut left eye.
06:46I can't do that.
06:47That's a terrible excuse, Bethany.
06:50Look sad.
06:52Check out Cameron's cheeky grin.
06:54Touch right ear.
06:55This training makes our brainees work their frontal lobes, as they have to really think about something they would normally do without thinking at all.
07:07Get down!
07:09So that's brainy Bethany out.
07:12Touch left shoulder.
07:15Hey, you're waiting!
07:16Get down!
07:19Waiting is cheating, cheeky Cameron.
07:22Spin around clockwise.
07:23And Lawrence spun clockwise, when he should have spun anticlockwise.
07:31With three brainees down, it's time for a training tip.
07:34Tip.
07:35Don't rush.
07:36Pause for two seconds to think before you react.
07:39If you want to work your frontal lobes at home, why not try this exercise with your mates or your brothers and sisters?
07:44It's great fun, and it'll help improve your all-round focus.
07:48Wrong knee up means you must sit down, Robert.
07:52Rub stomach clockwise.
07:56Lawrence.
07:59Again, Lawrence.
08:00And with the same mistake, here's a little lesson just for you.
08:05Clockwise.
08:07Anticlockwise.
08:08Get it?
08:08Now that's been cleared up, what did our brainees think of the training?
08:13The tip of waiting a couple of seconds was helpful, because for things like anticlockwise and clockwise, you had to make sure you did it the right way.
08:22Based on the training, I think Lawrence will be eliminated.
08:25It's the practice, not the real thing.
08:28I'll prove you wrong in the real thing.
08:29Cameron and Lawrence both struggled in the training, but will Lawrence prove Cheeky Cameron wrong and make it through the next level, or will Cameron's prediction come true?
08:39And can Brainy Bethany make it two wins in a row?
08:43There's only one way to find out, as our seven now put their frontal lobe train into the test.
08:49Guardian of the dojo and task-adjudicator the Sheehan will now demonstrate the level two challenge.
08:55Confusing colour challenge.
08:56Brainy's will take turn to stand in middle of confusing colour challenge, Matt.
09:03Sheehan then flip through 15 cards.
09:06On each card is name of colour.
09:08Ignoring actual word and focusing only on colour that word is written in.
09:14Brainy's must then jump with both feet onto marching circle.
09:18So, if see this, must jump on blue.
09:21Brainy will need to be on board, because Sheehan will be turning over cards at Fair Old Lick.
09:28Player with least number of correct colour matches will be eliminated.
09:34My Brainy tip for this task is to focus the mind on just one letter, and not the whole word.
09:40What's important here is not the word, but the colour that it's written in.
09:49Looking calm, our level one winner Brainy Bethany takes to the mat.
09:56Bethany may be heavy in brain power, but she's light on her feet.
09:59The pace is fast, but she's keeping up no problem and no mistake so far.
10:03Don't forget that our Brainy's have to see the colour, not the word, so that's red.
10:11And that's yellow.
10:14Bethany has clearly remembered her training.
10:17That was a near perfect round, and fast too.
10:22Oh, that should have been orange, James.
10:24And that was blue.
10:25James did well in the training, and it looks like he's remembered the tip, because now he's on a roll.
10:40A few penalties there, but he did pretty well.
10:46Lawrence struggled with his clockwise and anti-clockwise in the training,
10:49but he seems to be having no problems making his way round this coloured dial.
10:55Cameron picked out Lawrence as the loser for this level.
11:03Lawrence said he'd prove him wrong, and it looks like he has, because that was an excellent run.
11:08Can Cameron hold his own?
11:14Cheeky Cameron struggled a little in the training, and he's struggling here too.
11:22He's finished, but has he beat his rival, Lawrence?
11:25Robert makes a few mistakes, but also makes up a few of his own special dance moves along the way.
11:35Paminda gets a near perfect score.
11:40And Emma also does well.
11:46But as the gong sounds for the last time, which of our Brainy's are going home?
11:50Perfect Paminda came in first place with 15 matches.
11:57Bethany, Emma and Lawrence came joint second with 14 colour matches.
12:01What will Cameron say to that, eh, Lawrence?
12:04Robert came third with 13 colour matches.
12:08But with 12 colour matches, it's James and Cameron who are joint fourth,
12:11and have to battle it out for the last orange brain belt in the...
12:14Tie-break chopstick challenge!
12:22It's tough but fair.
12:24Our Brainy's have just five seconds to engage their occipital lobs they see in part of their brain,
12:28and quickly work out how many chopsticks they think they see.
12:32Time to reveal our Brainy's answers.
12:3450.
12:3732.
12:38The actual number is...
12:41Ho-ho!
12:43So, Cameron's answer of 32 was furthest from the correct number of 82 chopsticks.
12:48But he's still got a cheeky smile as he leaves the dojo for good.
12:51Walk of eternal regret.
12:58That task required concentration and mental and physical ability,
13:02but I just kind of lost my concentration and I wasn't up for the task.
13:07I think Lawrence might win because he got a pretty high score in that game.
13:12So, with five levels to go, Bethany, James, Lawrence, Robert, Paminda and Emma have won their orange.
13:20When the tie-break happened, I was really nervous and I was just trying to get through,
13:24so then I could move on to the next round.
13:27I'm so happy I got first place in this round,
13:29because in the last round I didn't do very well, but I've sharpened up now.
13:34Brain T2!
13:38Brainy, not so brainy.
13:42Who's a clever clock and whose brain needs a lot more training?
13:45It's the 1870s, and a geezer called Alexander Graham Bell goes and prevents the old dog and bone,
13:51or telephone, so you and I can gossip, gas and natter to people all over the world.
13:56Telephone-tastic!
13:57Hello?
13:58Mum, I'm on the telly.
13:59I'll call you back.
14:00Where was I?
14:01Oh yeah, phones.
14:02Off to Finland.
14:03Every year, a load of Finns, and folks from all over the world,
14:06take part in the Mobile Phone Throwing World Championships.
14:09Why?
14:09Well, to see how far they can throw them, of course.
14:11Right, got to ring the old dear back.
14:13Brainy, Alexander Graham Bell.
14:15Not so brainy, phone flingers in Finland.
14:19Brain Jitsu!
14:23Pressure in Brain Jitsu Dojo rising.
14:26Now, just six young hopeful remains to compete under watchful eye of Sheehan.
14:32Brainy Bethany, first to enter Dojo.
14:35Jims!
14:36When the tie-break happened, I was really nervous,
14:39and I was just trying to get through,
14:41so then I could move on to the next round.
14:43Robot placed midway both rounds.
14:47Emma nearly went out in first round,
14:49but confidence improved and came second in Confusing Colour Challenge.
14:54Coming second is, like, giving me more confidence.
14:57Lawrence, whose rivalry with Cameron ended when he is knocked out in last round.
15:02And perfect Paminda.
15:03I'm so happy I got first place in this round,
15:06because in the last round I didn't do very well,
15:08but I've sharpened up now.
15:10Challenge is about to get even tougher.
15:12Only two Brainy will make final test.
15:15Table of Supreme Forecast.
15:17Where must move ball with power of mind
15:19for chance to win Brain Jitsu Black Brain Belt
15:22is a time for level three.
15:25What is that?
15:27Now, we all like to chat,
15:30but did you know that using words to communicate
15:32is one of the main reasons why our brains have grown so incredibly powerful,
15:37and that having a conversation exercises both halves of the brain?
15:42Allow me to explain.
15:45Think of it like a policeman guiding traffic.
15:48While the drivers are focused on their own individual journeys,
15:52the policeman, he has to control all the cars and where they're going.
15:56It's the same with the brain.
15:58There's the left half, which deals with the details,
16:00and there's the right half, which looks at the overall picture.
16:03This next level of training strengthens my Brainy's focus
16:08by working one half of their brain under pressure.
16:11Hey, pump it off!
16:14Room of Mental Nourishment.
16:18It's our second visit to the Room of Mental Nourishment.
16:21Brainy's have a choice as to whether they take part or not,
16:24but any extra training they do will help them with the next challenge.
16:28For level three, it's communication training.
16:32Brain training.
16:33Each pin a body part onto the sumo wrestler.
16:36Another Brainy must direct the blindfolded Brainy
16:39using only three instructions.
16:42So Brainy Bethany gives James a spin
16:44before instructing him where to stick the sumo's teeth.
16:47Go forward.
16:49The Guider is using the right side of their brain to give instructions,
16:53and the blindfolded Brainy is using the left side of their brain
16:56to listen and interpret those instructions.
16:58You've made a bit of a boob there, Bethany.
17:04Step forward, one big step.
17:09Reach up.
17:12Push forward and stick.
17:14Confident Emma's clear instructions have paid off.
17:18Paminda hasn't done too well as the Guider.
17:20Will Lawrence fare better?
17:21Move a step forward.
17:24Pull it down a bit.
17:27Pull it to the right and stick.
17:30Stick.
17:31Not bad, but wait.
17:33The group think there's something afoot.
17:35That was four instructions.
17:37That looks stupid.
17:39Oh, training tip time.
17:41Tip.
17:44Use short, clear instructions.
17:46Imagine yourself hearing them.
17:49Try it.
17:54Take a step forward.
17:58Down a teeny bit.
18:01Stick.
18:04Robert did well there.
18:06He really thought before he spoke, and it paid off.
18:09Very good instructions.
18:12Take one big step forward.
18:16Move it up a bit.
18:18That sumo's body parts are more of a pickle than Japanese gherkins.
18:22But how did our brainies think they did?
18:25I think it was slightly best thought that I went wrong.
18:29Well, I tried to get it near to it, but since you're facing a diagonal,
18:32I had to use up one of the moves, so, yeah, I'm sorry about that.
18:36I think we did probably the best because you followed my instructions really well and you're a good angle to start with.
18:45For the task, I'm hoping to go with Lawrence because we did do really well in that.
18:49So, Lawrence and Robert made a good team, but will they be together in the next challenge?
18:56James blamed Beth for the teeth on pecs incident.
18:59Can she do better at the real thing?
19:01And will confident Emma remember her training and do well in the dojo?
19:04Time to find out as our six now put their communication training to the test.
19:13Hands through number two.
19:16This level tests how well our brainies can communicate.
19:19So, our six need to be in teams of two.
19:21The chopsticks will decide the pairs.
19:23So, there's Emma and James, Lawrence and Paminda, and Robert and Bethany.
19:31But who'll use their training the best to get the green?
19:37Quickly as possible, teams must punch six bucket containing number that go to make some.
19:43Pairs must decide who is guider, who is puncher.
19:47Puncher is blindfold and relying on guider to help find bucket.
19:51When all six bucket punched, brainy stop clock by shouting,
19:57Brain Jitsu!
19:59Quicker they punch bucket, more time they have to pick up number and make some.
20:04When brainy happy with answer, hit the gong!
20:08First two team to work out correct answer, get green belt and advance to next level.
20:13One brainy from losing team will be eliminated.
20:16The key to success here is for the guider to use the right side of their brain
20:22to follow their team-mates' progress and give them clear instructions.
20:26For their partner, it's vital they use the left side of their brain
20:31to focus on these instructions and nothing else.
20:34Step forward.
20:38First to put their communication training to the test are Emma and James.
20:43Punch.
20:45Step forward.
20:47Confident Emma did well as the guide during the training and she's doing well here too.
20:51Take a tiny step forward.
20:53Punch.
20:55The right, talking side of Emma's brain is working well
20:58as her instructions are very clear and precise.
21:01Punch.
21:01Turn your body half a circle.
21:06Take a tiny step left.
21:09Punch.
21:10Step forward.
21:11Punch.
21:14Brain gypsy!
21:15They've finished with a time of 1.57.
21:18Now Lawrence and perfect Paminda.
21:22Quick step forward.
21:24Lawrence listened well when he was paired with Robert
21:27and he seems to be using the left side of his brain effectively here too
21:30as they're storming through the first barrels.
21:32Forward.
21:33Take a tiny step left.
21:35Punch.
21:37Take a step left.
21:40Punch.
21:42Forwards.
21:44Punch.
21:46Perfect Paminda is staying calm.
21:48Her instructions are as clear as a cloudless Tokyo sky.
21:53Punch.
21:54Punch.
21:55A little bit more left.
21:57Punch.
21:58Brain jitsu.
22:00They're finished and with a time of 1 minute 18 seconds they're in the lead so far.
22:05Now Robert and Brainy Bethany.
22:07Normal step forward.
22:09Punch.
22:10Robert did very well as the guide during the training
22:12and his clear commands are paying off here too.
22:14Punch.
22:15Punch.
22:16Bit to the left.
22:17Beth wasn't great at giving instructions
22:18but the listening left side of her brain seems to be working better
22:22as they're racing through the barrels.
22:24Bit to the left.
22:24Punch.
22:27Forward.
22:28Punch.
22:30Teeny bit forward.
22:31Punch.
22:32Brain jitsu.
22:33They've finished already
22:34and with a fantastic 48 seconds
22:37they are first to collect their numbers.
22:38Here are the numbers our Brainy's are looking for.
22:50See if you can work out the sum.
22:58Lance and Paminda were second to collect their numbers
23:01but they've finished their sum first.
23:03Emma and James have finished too
23:05but Robert and Bethany are really struggling with the answer.
23:09They were first to get the numbers
23:10but they've only just gonged.
23:12Five times two plus twenty equals thirty.
23:15Correct.
23:16But as the other teams have got their sums right
23:18and in a faster time
23:20Robert and Bethany must go face to face in the...
23:23Stare off.
23:27With just one green belt up for Gramps
23:29both Brainy's must use all their powers of focus
23:32to fight the urge to blink.
23:34The first to falter will be eliminated.
23:38This is one of the longest stare-offs
23:45Brain jitsu has ever seen.
23:51Oh, the blink was as clear
23:52as the look of disappointment on Robert's face.
23:55He's gutted
23:55because Beth's in
23:56and Robert is out.
24:00Walk of eternal regret.
24:04It went wrong
24:05because there were six buckets
24:07and we hit them all really quick
24:08but we thought there'd be six numbers
24:10so we were searching around for most of the time
24:12trying to find six rather than five.
24:14Never mind.
24:17I think Emma might win the black belt
24:19because she's been the strong contester
24:20all the way through.
24:24So with four levels left
24:26it's green brain belts for Bethany,
24:28James,
24:29Lawrence,
24:29Paminda
24:30and Emma.
24:31I think it was very good to be with Paminda
24:35because she gave me clear instructions
24:38to exactly what to do.
24:40I was kind of nervous about the stare-off
24:41because I heard that Robert practices
24:43with his brother at home.
24:44I was quite lucky that he'd linked.
24:50Brain jitsu.
24:51Level four.
24:56Blue vault.
24:57This fourth level
24:59requires our brainies
25:00to master a primitive part of the brain
25:02called the amygdala.
25:04The area that responds to threat.
25:07Ha ha!
25:08Oh, phew.
25:10Remember the last time
25:12you felt afraid or panicky?
25:13Perhaps you're on a ghost train
25:15at a fairground.
25:16Well, that feeling
25:17was triggered by the old amygdala.
25:19Stress can make you lose focus.
25:23Fact.
25:24Which is why my brainies
25:26must train
25:27to keep their emotions
25:28under control.
25:30The room of mental nourishment.
25:34Oh, phew.
25:36We're back in the room
25:36of mental nourishment
25:37and it's time for our five
25:39green belt holders
25:40to focus on overcoming their fear.
25:43Brain training.
25:44Form a circle.
25:45Pass a disgusting drink
25:47around the circle.
25:47Only passing it on
25:50when you have said
25:52a different word
25:52ending in the letter D.
25:54After one minute
25:55the brainy holding the drink
25:57has to drink it.
25:59I'll go first.
26:01Today's disgusting drink
26:02vintage cod liver oil
26:04me favourite.
26:07Sand.
26:09Succeed.
26:12And
26:12world.
26:14Laurence, try and override
26:22your amygdala.
26:23Focus on the word
26:24not the cod liver oil.
26:26Round.
26:28Pound.
26:31Pounded.
26:33No, that's too similar.
26:35What?
26:36This is too similar.
26:38Isn't it?
26:39No.
26:40Let's have a vote.
26:41That was technically him.
26:47The gong means a minute is up
26:48but Bethany isn't happy.
26:50Didn't I say a word
26:51and you said something similar
26:52as well?
26:53You added ED to mine.
26:54Oi, brainies.
26:55Stop arguing
26:56and just drink it.
26:57Drink it.
26:58Drink it.
27:00That's going to be disgusting.
27:04It's actually not that bad.
27:06Right.
27:06Training tip time.
27:07Tip.
27:10Don't fear the drink.
27:11Welcome it as your friend.
27:13I'll start the game.
27:15Stabbed.
27:17Hesitated.
27:24Lawrence, think of the tip.
27:26If you fear the drink
27:27it'll cloud your focus.
27:28If you focus only on the word
27:30you'll forget about the drink
27:31and you won't have to drink it.
27:34Lawrence can't even take his eyes off it.
27:36United.
27:38Mud.
27:39If you practice this technique at home
27:41it'll allow you to keep your emotions
27:42under control.
27:44Stop you from panicking
27:45and help you focus better
27:46in situations like exams.
27:51It seemed inevitable, Lawrence.
27:52Now bottoms up.
27:54You've got to drink it now.
27:58Yeah.
27:59It's not that bad.
28:00Oh, no.
28:03It's not that bad.
28:04Bethany took it like a man, Lawrence.
28:06Don't be shown up by a girl.
28:08Have a biscuit.
28:09The first time I paused I meant it
28:13because I knew if I'd done it long enough
28:16then it wouldn't have come to me
28:17but I don't think I'd done it long enough
28:19and the second time
28:20I just got lost
28:22but then as soon as I'd drunk it
28:24I realised that I had one.
28:25Cod.
28:28Yeah, I'm quite glad that Lawrence
28:29had to drink in the end
28:31because she sort of got what you deserve
28:32because my word was a real word.
28:34So, Beth and Lawrence had to drink.
28:37Beth said it helped to get over her fear.
28:39Can she use the training for the next challenge?
28:42Lawrence said he was pausing on purpose
28:44but it backfired.
28:45But is he trying to save face?
28:48And how will all her brainies react
28:49when they see the creepy crawlies
28:51in the next fear-filled challenge?
28:53Creepy Crawly Word Grab
28:59This level will test of mind over matter for brainies
29:04and will push them to really overcome their fear.
29:07Underneath the creepy crawlies
29:08lie an assortment of letters worth different points.
29:11Brainies have just one minute to plunge hands into tank
29:14and pick out up to seven letters each.
29:17They then have a further minute
29:19to make higher scoring words they can.
29:23To do well, my brainies must block out the signals
29:27coming from their amygdala
29:28and ignore the creepy crawlies.
29:31The quicker they combat their fear
29:33the more time they'll have
29:34to pick out the high scoring letters.
29:39Brainies should dig deep
29:40because underneath that pile of mealworms
29:42are an extra five golden letters.
29:44If they manage to use one in their word
29:46they'll double their score.
29:47Lawrence and Bethany both had to drink in the training
29:54but all five of our brainies are getting stuck in.
30:05They all seem very calm
30:07and they're all overriding their amygdala as well.
30:09The mealworms may as well not be there.
30:11The minute's up.
30:20Our brainies now have a further minute
30:21to make the highest scoring word they can
30:23from their letters.
30:24See if you can make a word
30:31from the anagram that's on the screen now.
30:33So, how have our green belt holders fared?
30:45Pies.
30:46Six points for Brainy Bethany.
30:51Like.
30:53Like in your style, James.
30:54Eight points.
30:56Soul.
30:57A good word
30:59but just four points for Lawrence.
31:02Bait.
31:04That golden letter gives Perfect Peminda
31:06an excellent ten points.
31:08Lawrence's place in the dojo
31:09all hangs on Emma's score.
31:12Pay.
31:14Eight points puts pay
31:15to Lawrence's dream of the black belt.
31:17It's three wins in a row
31:18for Perfect Peminda
31:19but Emma is in
31:20and Lawrence is out.
31:26Walk of eternal regret.
31:30I'm glad to be out of Brainy Jitsu
31:31but I'm very pleased to get
31:33as far as I have done
31:34because all the competitors
31:35are very hard to beat.
31:36I think James is going to win
31:38because he's very quick
31:39with his mind.
31:40So with only three levels to go
31:46Bethany, James,
31:48Peminda
31:49and Emma
31:49proudly wear their blue brain belts.
31:52I think the training
31:53helped me a lot
31:54because
31:54it made me less scared
31:56of things I didn't like
31:57and I managed to get
31:58a good word
31:59with lots of points.
32:01I'm so relieved to be three
32:02because now I'm in the last four
32:03and that's pasture
32:04my goal was to get
32:05so I'm really proud of myself.
32:06Who's the clever clogs
32:16and whose brain
32:17needs a lot more training?
32:19Mount Everest.
32:20What a beauty.
32:22Now these two geezers,
32:23Sir Edmund Hillary
32:24and Tenzing Norgay
32:25was the first to climb it.
32:27In the ultimate test
32:28of Mind Over Matter,
32:29not only did they conquer
32:30a blooming great mountain
32:31but they also had to battle
32:32against snow, ice
32:33and temperatures
32:34that would freeze your permals off.
32:36Mount plastic.
32:37Now, take a look at this one.
32:39They don't climb steep slopes.
32:41They prefer to roll down them.
32:42And for what?
32:43A blooming bit of cheese.
32:44That's what?
32:45E-damn, that's Gouda hurt.
32:47Brainy, Hillary and Tenzing.
32:49Not so brainy.
32:50Cheese rolling chumps.
32:54Brain Jitsu.
32:57Oh, attention in Brain Jitsu Dojo
32:59mounting.
33:00Now just four young hopefuls remain
33:02to compete under
33:03watchful eye of Sheehan.
33:06Brainy Bethany,
33:07yet to match brilliant performance
33:08from first round.
33:10Modest James,
33:11slowly and steadily
33:12making it to top.
33:14Perfect Paminda,
33:16who wins three challenges in row.
33:18And Confidence Emma.
33:20Only two brainy will make final test.
33:23Table of Supreme Focus.
33:24Where?
33:25Must move ball
33:26with power of mind.
33:28Brain Jitsu Black Brain Belt
33:29is within the grasp.
33:31Here's the time for...
33:32Level 5.
33:34Red Belt!
33:35If you're learning how to
33:37morris dance,
33:38then you might be interested to know
33:39that your new hobby
33:41is doing wonders
33:42for your old grey matter.
33:45Exercising both the thinking part
33:46of the brain,
33:47the cerebrum,
33:48and the doing part,
33:50the cerebellum.
33:51You see,
33:52doing new things
33:53increases the flow of blood
33:55into your head,
33:56which keeps your brain cells
33:57topped up with the oxygen
33:59they need
33:59to perform at their best.
34:01So,
34:02in Level 5,
34:03my brainy's
34:04are going to be challenged
34:05to learn new skills.
34:07Now,
34:07you can speed up
34:08how quickly
34:09the brain takes in new stuff.
34:11And this is what our brainy's
34:13are going to train for now.
34:15Room of Mental Nourishment.
34:18It's our brainy's
34:21fourth visit
34:21to the room
34:22of mental nourishment.
34:23And for this training exercise,
34:24they're going to be
34:25really working their brains
34:26by learning something new.
34:29Brain training.
34:30Spin the drumstick
34:31between your fingers
34:32for as long as possible.
34:34This training
34:35flexes both the doing
34:36and the thinking part
34:37of the brain.
34:38Our brainy's
34:39need mental concentration
34:40to master a physical skill.
34:43Hey, guys,
34:43it's quite hard,
34:44but you get the hang of it
34:45after a while.
34:46Paminda,
34:48you're not really
34:48doing it properly.
34:50It's annoying
34:51when you keep dropping it,
34:52but it's OK
34:53after a while.
34:54Don't get annoyed,
34:55Paminda.
34:55Getting frustrated
34:56will only make it harder.
34:58It's quite easy
34:59once you've got the hang of it.
35:01It's just harder
35:01to get faster.
35:03I think James
35:04might think I'm
35:05throwing mine at his
35:06because it seems
35:07to keep on ending up
35:08over there.
35:09To stop confident Emma
35:10throwing her stick
35:11James' way,
35:12here's a training tip.
35:13Tip,
35:16be confident
35:17in yourself.
35:18Look into the mirror
35:19and tell yourself
35:20you can do it.
35:22I'm great.
35:23I'm fantastic.
35:24I'm going to win
35:24the next task.
35:25I just know I am.
35:27I can do this
35:27if I stay confident
35:28and concentrate.
35:30All I've got to do
35:31is try my best
35:32and concentrate
35:33and get through
35:33the next task.
35:35Come on, girl,
35:36let's do it.
35:37I can't do better
35:38than that.
35:39Obviously you can't.
35:40I'm the best.
35:41Boosting your confidence
35:42really can help
35:43if you're learning
35:44something new.
35:45If you stay positive,
35:46tell yourself
35:47you can do it,
35:48you're much more likely
35:49to succeed
35:49at your new skill.
35:51My confidence
35:51wasn't that good before
35:53but now I've run
35:53a few tasks
35:54I think my confidence
35:56has really grown
35:57and this training
35:57has helped me a lot.
35:59I think the girls
36:00are getting too
36:01overconfident
36:01and it's good
36:03to be confident
36:04in yourself
36:04but when you get
36:05too confident
36:06you just stop trying.
36:07Um, I don't stop trying
36:09because I'm not
36:10that sort of girl.
36:11You shouldn't think
36:12that about me, James.
36:15So, modest James
36:16thinks the girls
36:17are overconfident.
36:18Will he be proved right
36:19or will perfect Paminda
36:21make it four wins
36:22in a row
36:22and eliminate James
36:24to leave one of the girls
36:25to take the black?
36:28Only time will tell
36:29as our four
36:30now put their
36:31skills training
36:32to the test.
36:34Speedy trick is teary.
36:37To win red belt
36:40brainy must use
36:41confidence training
36:42to help learn
36:43new skills.
36:44Racing against clock
36:45they must steer car
36:47around obstacle course.
36:49But this brain
36:50zitsu
36:50so controls
36:52in reverse.
36:53To go right
36:54must steer left
36:55and to go forward
36:56must steer backward.
36:58With time penalty
36:59lurking along course
37:00brainy's will need
37:01to remember training.
37:03Stay positive
37:03and get hang
37:05of tricky controls
37:06as quickly as possible.
37:08The tip for my brainy's
37:10in this next task
37:11is to
37:11remain calm
37:13and think
37:14positive thoughts.
37:16Giving in to frustration
37:17will only lessen
37:18their focus
37:19and slow them up.
37:23Brainy Bethany
37:24on top form
37:25as she races
37:26round the first corner.
37:27But crashing into
37:30the wall
37:31isn't good.
37:33Bethany
37:34fared fine
37:34in the training
37:35but she seems
37:36to be struggling
37:36a little here
37:37with the
37:37reverse controls.
37:42Beth seems
37:42to have taken
37:43a shine
37:43to that pink rod.
37:45At least
37:45she's remembering
37:46her training.
37:47She's staying
37:48calmer than
37:48a meditating
37:49martial arts expert.
37:50Getting frustrated
37:51now would be
37:52a disaster.
37:52No bonus
37:55ball for Beth
37:56but was it
37:57fast enough
37:57to get the red?
37:58Now James.
38:05Modest James
38:06has had a slow
38:07and steady approach
38:08to all the challenges
38:09and it's paying off here.
38:16The seesaw
38:17and the slalom
38:18are like a Sunday
38:19drive in the
38:20Tokyo countryside.
38:22He may not
38:26have got the
38:26bonus ball
38:27but that was
38:27a good run
38:28for sure.
38:33Perfect
38:33Paminda next.
38:34She's got
38:35three wins
38:35in a row
38:36under her
38:36blue belt.
38:37Can she
38:37make it four?
38:41It's a
38:42speedy start
38:42for Paminda.
38:48But now
38:49it looks like
38:50she's stuck
38:50faster than
38:51sushi in
38:51cement.
38:52Paminda
38:53got frustrated
38:54with her
38:54drumstick
38:55training
38:55and she's
38:56doing the
38:56same thing
38:57here.
38:59What are
38:59those posts
39:00ever done
39:00to you
39:00Paminda?
39:02You're
39:02making more
39:03of a mess
39:03than a sumo
39:04eating spaghetti
39:05with chopsticks.
39:12She's
39:12finally
39:12finished
39:13but with
39:13no bonus
39:14ball
39:14was it
39:15fast enough
39:15to get
39:15the red.
39:16Modest
39:20James
39:20told Paminda
39:21and Emma
39:22that they
39:22were
39:22overconfident
39:23in the
39:23training
39:24but the
39:24opposite
39:25seems to
39:25be true
39:26here
39:26as Emma
39:26nervously
39:27makes her
39:27way around
39:28the course.
39:28But now
39:41Emma's
39:41speeding
39:42faster than
39:42a bullet
39:43train.
39:43Oh she's
39:49stuck on
39:49the post
39:50but will
39:50she get
39:51frustrated
39:51like Paminda?
39:53Confident
39:53Emma has
39:54remembered
39:54her
39:54training
39:55and is
39:55staying
39:55calmer
39:56than a
39:56zen
39:56garden
39:57on a
39:57cloudless
39:58day.
40:01And she's
40:02even managed
40:02to get
40:02the bonus
40:03ball.
40:04Atta girl!
40:06But which
40:07of our
40:07braineas
40:08has found
40:08this a
40:08brain
40:09challenge
40:09too far?
40:13Bethany

40:16with 3
40:16penalties
40:17and no
40:17bonus

40:18So that's
40:194 minutes

40:35Paminda's
40:36total is

40:42Emma's
40:43score.
40:44She got
40:44two
40:44penalties
40:45but got
40:46the
40:46bonus

40:50She's
40:50in
40:51and
40:51Perfect
40:51Paminda
40:52is
40:52out.
41:05Walk
41:06of
41:06eternal
41:07regret.
41:09Well I
41:10hope to get
41:10in the
41:10final three
41:11because I
41:12won quite
41:12few of the
41:13challenges
41:13I
41:14feel quite
41:15disappointed
41:16because I
41:17would have
41:17liked to
41:17get a bit
41:17further.
41:18I think
41:18that either
41:19Bethany or
41:20James will
41:21win the
41:21black belt.
41:24So with only
41:25two levels
41:26left,
41:26Bethany,
41:27James and
41:28Emma
41:28stand proud
41:29in red.
41:30My tactic
41:31of being
41:31concentrated
41:32and focused
41:33has helped
41:33me in this
41:34task.
41:35Now I've
41:35got so far
41:35I've just
41:36got to try
41:36and go for
41:36the black belt
41:37and win.
41:39Rain
41:40Titu
41:41It's this
41:47level which
41:48will decide
41:48which two of
41:50my remaining
41:50brainees will
41:51go on to
41:52battle it out
41:53for the black
41:54belt.
41:56Imagine you're
41:57about to kick a
41:57conversion in an
41:58important rugby
41:59notch.
42:00As well as
42:01remembering your
42:01technique, there
42:02might be a
42:03strong wind
42:03blowing, plus
42:04there's a big
42:05crowd watching
42:06you.
42:07It's remembering
42:07stuff like this
42:08under pressure
42:09that level 6
42:10is all about.
42:12It centres
42:13around three
42:14areas of the
42:14brain.
42:15The seeing
42:16part, the
42:17occipital lobes,
42:18the memory
42:19part, the
42:20temporal lobes
42:21and the
42:22movement part,
42:23the cerebellum.
42:24To the max.
42:27Room of
42:28mental
42:28nourishment.
42:31With only
42:32three brainees
42:32remaining, this
42:33penultimate brain
42:34training challenge
42:35is all about
42:36memory.
42:39Brain
42:40training.
42:41Memorise the
42:41sequence of
42:42objects.
42:43So, in this
42:44task, our three
42:45remaining red
42:46belt holders are
42:47exercising their
42:48occipital lobes or
42:49seeing part of
42:50their brain and
42:51their temporal
42:52lobes, the
42:53memory bank.
42:54They've all gone
42:54quieter than a
42:55Japanese mouse,
42:56but has the
42:57silence worked?
42:58There's a
42:58crocodile, a
43:00rat, a
43:02flyswatter, some
43:04scissors, and I
43:07give up.
43:08Not very
43:09impressive, James.
43:11Can confident
43:11Emma fare better?
43:13A crocodile, a
43:14rat, a flyswatter, a
43:17shovel, a frog, a
43:21hammer thing, a
43:22fried egg, an
43:25Eiffel tower.
43:26You're missing a few
43:27out.
43:28Emma's temporal
43:29lobes, not firing
43:30on all cylinders
43:31either.
43:31Can brainy Beth
43:32and his steam
43:33through them?
43:35A crocodile, a
43:37rat, a flyswatter,
43:39some scissors, a
43:41frog, a hammer, a
43:45fried egg, a
43:46chicken, a
43:47gnome, the Eiffel
43:49tower, a toilet.
43:52That was pretty
43:53good.
43:53So, Beth's done
43:54pretty well, but
43:55let's see if the
43:56training tip can
43:56help the other
43:57two.
43:59Tip, create a
44:01story linking the
44:02objects together.
44:04There was a
44:04crocodile who met a
44:06mouse on one of his
44:07journeys out.
44:08The rat was scared of
44:10him, so he got his
44:11flyswatter and hit him
44:12on the head.
44:13Then the hammer, as
44:15well as knocking the
44:16animals, it knocked
44:17off an egg which made
44:18it fried.
44:19Memory tests like
44:20this are a great way
44:21of training your
44:22brain.
44:23Next time you're out
44:23shopping, create a
44:24story out of your
44:25list and see if you
44:26can remember
44:27everything on it.
44:31But has the
44:32funny story tickled
44:33their temporal lobes
44:34into working better?
44:35There's a
44:36crocodile, a
44:38rat, a flyswatter,
44:40some scissors, a
44:42frog, a hammer.
44:44James may not be
44:45saying the story out
44:46loud, but it's
44:47obviously helped him
44:48remember the order.
44:48A toilet, some
44:51bananas, a big
44:52ogre hand, a bell, a
44:55snake, poison and a
44:57roast chicken.
44:57That was amazing.
44:58Did the story help?
45:00Yeah, quite a lot.
45:02So, James excelled in
45:04the memory training
45:05even though he was as
45:06modest as usual about
45:07his great performance.
45:09Confident Emma was
45:10suitably impressed.
45:12But which brainy will
45:13use the tip to help
45:15them with their next
45:15challenge?
45:16And which of our two
45:17red brain belt
45:18holders will be
45:19fighting it out on
45:20the table of supreme
45:21focus?
45:22Super memory dizzy
45:24dash.
45:26Brainy is spin around
45:28on dizzy wheel total
45:29of ten times while
45:31using all power of
45:32focus to memorise
45:34five images in front
45:35of them.
45:36Then must race
45:37against clock to
45:39cross balancing beam
45:40and collect five
45:41images they have not
45:43seen from the ten
45:45hanging above them.
45:47Then must arrange in
45:49alphabetical order.
45:51When brainy happy with
45:52selection hit the gong
45:54to stop clock.
45:57My tip for the
45:59brainy's is to keep
46:00focused on the main
46:01objective and use their
46:03training to link the five
46:04images together.
46:07So our final three brave the
46:09wheel to compete for their
46:10brown brain belts and for a
46:12chance to triumph over the
46:13table of supreme focus.
46:15Time to spin.
46:17Will their training help our
46:18brainy's ignore the effects
46:20of the wheel and memorise the
46:21images?
46:22The order they're looking for is
46:23at the bottom of the screen
46:24now.
46:33First up is brainy Bethany and
46:35she's on top form as she
46:37chooses the images straight
46:38away.
46:40Don't forget not only are the
46:41brainy's under pressure as
46:42they race against the clock but
46:44they also have to fight their
46:45dizziness to collect the five
46:46images they did not see on the
46:48wheel from the ten hanging
46:49above them.
46:51So these are the images they saw
46:53on the wheel and these are the
46:54images they must collect.
46:58Then they have to arrange those
46:59images in alphabetical order.
47:02Every image they get wrong means a
47:03five second penalty.
47:05The brainy with the slowest time
47:06will be eliminated from the
47:08dojo.
47:09Beth did pretty well in the
47:11training and she's had a steady
47:12run here too.
47:13Ear, piano, spider, strawberry,
47:15sun, full marks.
47:19Now for James.
47:31Modest James did brilliantly in the
47:33training and it seems he's using
47:34what he's learned here too as he's
47:36racing through faster than a jet
47:38propelled ninja.
47:40Don't forget that this challenge
47:42decides which of our two brainy's
47:44will go through to the final round,
47:46the table of supreme focus.
47:50Spider, strawberry.
47:52Very fast with the harder and he's
47:54got a full house.
47:57Now confident Emma.
47:58The spinning seems to have affected
48:07Emma's balance more than the other
48:09two and possibly her memory as well as
48:11she's taking her time choosing the
48:13images.
48:15Emma wasn't as strong in the
48:17training as her opponents but she
48:18seems to have got the right images.
48:20Now she just needs the right order.
48:24Confident Emma's almost taking longer to
48:26decide the order that it takes to walk
48:28from Osaka to Kyoto.
48:30She must remember she's racing against
48:32the clock.
48:34She's finally finished but was it fast
48:36enough to get her the brown brain belt?
48:38Time for the results.
48:43Bethany.
48:43One minute 27 seconds and no penalties.
48:46A good run.
48:49James.
48:50One minute 43 seconds and no penalties.
48:53100% record for both braineese.
48:56James' place in the dojo all hangs on
48:58Emma's time.
48:59One minute 44 seconds with no penalties.
49:03There's just one second in it but
49:04modest James is in and confident
49:07Emma is out.
49:10Walk of eternal regret.
49:14I'm a bit disappointed but I'm very
49:16pleased with myself.
49:17If I were to do it again I would try and
49:20think more of their pictures up there
49:22and less on the spinning part.
49:25So with only one level to go it leaves
49:27just brainy Bethany and modest James
49:30to wear the brown brain belts in
49:32preparation for the final.
49:35I'm really happy that I got through to the final.
49:37I'm just going to really give it my all and
49:39try to win it.
49:40Just for me to be here it's just I'm just
49:42really happy.
49:45Brain T2.
49:46Eight young hopeful arrived at brain
49:50training dojo to fight for brain jutsu
49:53black brain belt.
49:55As challenges get tougher braineese get
49:57fewer.
49:58Some lost their cool.
50:00Others just lost out.
50:02One by one they have been eliminated.
50:05Now just two remain.
50:07Brainy Bethany.
50:08I'm just really amazed that I'm here
50:10in the final two.
50:12And modest James.
50:13I reckon Bethany will win it.
50:15Or if it's anything to do with things like
50:18the last couple of rounds she will beat me.
50:20But who will use brain training to the
50:22max to win final challenge?
50:26Level seven.
50:27Black belt.
50:29So this is it.
50:32Between my two remaining braineese
50:34and the black belt
50:35stands brain jutsu's ultimate challenge.
50:38A mental duel that is head to head
50:41in every sense.
50:43The battlefield?
50:44A table.
50:45But not just any table.
50:47For this my friends
50:48is the table
50:49of supreme focus.
50:51Where our two braineese
50:52will attempt to move a ball
50:54across the table
50:55using only
50:56the power
50:57of their mind.
50:59By getting this far
51:00they've already demonstrated
51:01mental control
51:02under many different types of pressure.
51:04But now
51:06they must learn
51:06to focus their minds
51:07by entering a state
51:09of total calm.
51:11To prepare them
51:12my two finalists
51:13will need to get into
51:14the zone.
51:16Room of mental nourishment.
51:19We welcome
51:20Brainy Bethany
51:21and Modest James
51:22our two brown
51:23brain belt holders
51:24to the final room
51:25of mental nourishment.
51:26For this task
51:27our braineese
51:28must bring together
51:28all their training
51:29to achieve
51:30ultimate focus.
51:31Brain training.
51:34Mentally prepare yourself
51:35for the final task.
51:37Don't let the sounds
51:38put you off.
51:41So our two finalists
51:43have to block out
51:43the noises
51:44and focus only
51:45on finding their
51:46inner calm
51:47and concentration.
51:49Oh that reminds me
51:50of when
51:51you have to go to the dentist
51:52and you have to have
51:53teeth taken out
51:54and they have to
51:54drill your teeth
51:55before they can
51:56take them out.
51:58That sounds disgusting.
52:00Does that put you
52:01off the final task?
52:03Um, not really, no.
52:05Yeah, nice try James
52:06but here's a training tip.
52:09Tip.
52:10Tense and then
52:11release individual parts
52:12of your body
52:12from head to toe.
52:16My strength
52:17is concentration task
52:18because I can stay
52:19concentrated quite well.
52:21Now I've got so far
52:22I've just got to try
52:23and go for the black belt
52:24and win.
52:26I think the tip
52:27did help me
52:28because instead of
52:29thinking about the noise
52:29I was thinking
52:30about releasing
52:31parts of my body
52:32and it made it easier
52:33and just easier
52:34to focus.
52:35I think you'll probably
52:36win the final task.
52:37I think you're more
52:38confident in yourself
52:39and you've done
52:41really well
52:41in all the tasks so far
52:42so I think you
52:43might win.
52:45So both brainies
52:46think the other
52:46is going to win
52:47but who's really
52:48going to take the title
52:49and who's going to
52:50fall at the final hurdle?
52:52Let's find out.
52:53Table of supreme focus.
52:56Rules are simple.
53:00Each brainy must push
53:01ball to the opponent's
53:02end of table
53:03using only power of mind.
53:06Sensors in brainy's headbands
53:08measure brainwaves.
53:09This is converted
53:10into electrical signal
53:11which moves ball.
53:13More focused mind,
53:15stronger signal
53:16and faster ball will travel.
53:19See how brainy's
53:20are doing on this readout.
53:22Two lines represent
53:23each player's brainwaves.
53:25Lower the line,
53:26more concentrated
53:27their mind.
53:36To make sure
53:37this is the test
53:38of all tests,
53:38our brainy's
53:39must win the best
53:40of three rounds.
53:42So, this is the big one.
53:44Our two finalists
53:45must use all their
53:46brain training
53:47to enter their
53:47zone of absolute focus.
53:50This is the reason
53:51they came to the dojo.
53:52This is the moment
53:54they've been training for.
53:57The Sheehan starts them off
53:59and their mind race is on.
54:02Modest James is the first
54:03to move the ball.
54:05You can see his black line
54:06is straight and low.
54:08The ball isn't moving quickly
54:09but it's making steady progress
54:11towards his opponent's end.
54:14Bethany's green straight
54:15brainwave line
54:16is also showing
54:17a very focused mind.
54:19Can she harness
54:19all her brain training
54:21to dip her line
54:21below James' black
54:23and gain control
54:24of the ball?
54:29Ooh, so it's round one
54:31to Modest James.
54:32Can brainy Bethany
54:33find her focus
54:34in the second round
54:35to even the score?
54:36Oh, hey, Bethany put up
54:49a bit of a fight there
54:50but now James
54:51has regained control
54:52of his low
54:53black brainwave line.
54:55Looks like he's
54:55on the home straight.
54:56Well, well, that's it.
55:06It's all over.
55:07Modest James
55:08has come up trumps.
55:09He used his training
55:10to the max
55:11to prove himself
55:12a true master of the mind
55:13and worthy winner
55:14of the black belt
55:15of brain jitsu.
55:17I was just blocking
55:18everything out
55:18and just concentrating
55:19completely on the ball
55:20moving
55:21and just nothing else.
55:25Glory for one
55:25brings disappointment
55:26for another.
55:27She fought valiantly
55:28but now Bethany
55:29must leave the dojo.
55:32Walk of eternal regret.
55:36I'm feeling very proud
55:37of myself
55:38for getting into
55:39the final two.
55:40When I was doing
55:41the table of supreme focus
55:43I was just trying
55:44to relax myself
55:45and sort of
55:45blank my mind
55:46but he seemed
55:47to be doing it
55:48like stronger than me
55:49so he won.
55:51So brainy Bethany
55:52just lost out
55:53at the end
55:54but it's a triumph
55:55for modest James.
55:57Bethany and James
55:59had been pretty equally
56:00matched throughout
56:00their training
56:01but James managed
56:02to master his mind
56:03when it mattered
56:04the most.
56:05He beat Bethany
56:06two rounds to nil
56:07and grabbed the
56:08coveted black brain belt
56:10of brain jitsu.
56:11I'm just really
56:13really happy
56:13that I won the black belt
56:15and I'm really
56:15really proud of myself.
56:17If I could summarise
56:18how I feel
56:19in about three words
56:20it'd probably be
56:21over the moon.
56:22Our journey
56:28has come to an end.
56:30Another brainy
56:30has proven themselves
56:32worthy
56:32to wear the
56:33brain jitsu
56:34black belt.
56:35But while brain jitsu
56:37might represent
56:38the most extreme
56:39form of brain training
56:40its philosophy
56:41can be shared
56:42by all.
56:44Each and every one
56:45of you
56:46has it in your power
56:47to grow your mind.
56:49All it takes
56:50is dedication
56:51and practice.
