00:00I'd like to state that no brainies or insects were harmed in the making of this program,
00:03and that none of the training you're about to see be attempted unless under expert supervision.
00:09Eight brainies, one challenge.
00:12To use complex mass of 100 billion cells we call Brain,
00:16for chance to win Brain Jitsu Black Brain Belt, this is Brain Jitsu.
00:22Born in Lancashire, trained in Japan, with mind as sharp as Samurai's sword,
00:33he is Brain Master, he is the Sensei.
00:37Konnichiwa, and welcome to Brain Jitsu.
00:42Mental training specially designed to boost brain power and focus.
00:47My trainees, or brainies, have been following a basic program of training in the comfort of their own home.
00:54A brain-boosting routine of exercise, sleep, and enough fruit and veg to stock a greengrocer's.
01:01Training stimulates your brain and it makes you ready for what challenges lie ahead.
01:07I think I've done quite well in the training, but I feel really nervous.
01:10I'm feeling very confident today and I'm going to get that flex out.
01:13Now, my brainies must put their training into practice by testing a part of the brain we use every day.
01:20Level one.
01:21No, no, Walt!
01:24Take a look at all these chocolates.
01:26Mmm, yummy.
01:27But how many white rabbits are there?
01:31If you've got six, then congratulations.
01:34You've just used your occipital lobes.
01:37This area, the seeing part of our brain, allows us to recognise and separate images from each other.
01:44The seven brainies who use their occipital lobes the best will be allowed to enter my brain jitsu dojo,
01:50where their training will continue.
01:52The one who fails will be left outside.
01:55Oh!
01:56Feel the burn.
01:58Enter the dojo!
02:00Our brainies must answer four questions by counting the different coloured shapes and numbers on the board in front of them.
02:08Get them right, and they'll be left with a four-digit code,
02:11which they must then use to unlock a piece of brain and secure their place in the dojo.
02:17But with only seven pieces of brain and eight brainies,
02:19one of either David, Anorag, Tia, Wally, Maddie, James, Catherine or Hezron will be left outside and eliminated.
02:30The atmosphere in the noodle bar is more pressured than a Japanese rice cooker,
02:34as the four questions are revealed.
02:37How many squares are there?
02:45How many orange shapes with numbers are there?
02:48How many black shapes with blue numbers are there?
03:08How many green numbers are there?
03:10The answer our brainies are looking for is seven, nine, three, five.
03:22Tia is first up, but has she got the cord right?
03:27Wally follows close behind, with a few more brainies hot on his tail.
03:30Tia was first off her stool, but now she's back on it, as she's got the cord wrong.
03:36In fact, it looks like all her brainies have got the cord wrong.
03:40The key to this task is to stay calm and really focus on getting the answers right.
03:45Don't rush, and don't be put off by the others around you.
03:47Don't forget, the cord all our brainies are looking for is seven, nine, three, five.
03:57As there are seven squares, nine orange shapes with numbers in,
04:01three black shapes with blue numbers in, and five green numbers.
04:07Maddie is the first to finish, while all the other brainies are right back where they started.
04:12A few nervous faces there. In fact, even winner Maddie is looking worried.
04:19No need, Maddie. You used your occipital lobes training to the max.
04:24Anorag claims second place, with Catherine, Tia, Wally and David following suit,
04:30leaving Hezron and James to battle it out for the last place in the dojo.
04:35Hezron has his hands on his head. He mustn't fret, but must focus on the cord.
04:42James is smiling. He thinks he's finally got the cord right.
04:47But no, he's wrong again, and Hezron has literally jumped off his stool
04:51and is running to the brain, as he cracked it at last.
04:55That's it. Hezron's in, and James is out.
04:59And the relief on Hezron's face is as obvious as a sumo hiding behind a chopstick.
05:04So, as seven enter the dojo for a chance to survive six more gruelling levels of brain training,
05:10for James, the dream of the black brain belt has ended before it even started.
05:15I suppose I was a bit panicked and I just rushed through everything,
05:18so I'm not sure who will win the black belt, but they're all good.
05:22So, with six levels to go, only Maddie, Anorag, Catherine, Tia, Wally, David and Hezron
05:29have entered the dojo and achieved the first of their coloured brain belts.
05:33I tried the task a couple of times, but in the end, when I calmed down, I got it right.
05:40I'm going to win the black belt, but I think it's going to be pretty tough,
05:44because Catherine's a really hard contender.
05:48I'm quite glad that I got first, because that makes me think,
05:50oh, I probably will get through the next round, too.
05:56Rain Deaton!
05:57In this next level of training, things are going to get really hard.
06:03Level two.
06:04Orange belt.
06:07We do things every day without even thinking about it, like throwing a ball.
06:12The next time you're with your mates, try throwing it with the arm you wouldn't normally use.
06:17Yeah, a lot more difficult, isn't it?
06:19If you manage to do that, you're using part of your brain that deals with problem solving,
06:24the frontal lobes, and that's what level two is all about.
06:29Taking something you normally do without thinking and doing it differently.
06:34Work it!
06:35To prepare them for using their frontal lobes in the next challenge,
06:38my brainees are going to need some training.
06:41Room of Mental Nourishment.
06:44The Room of Mental Nourishment is where our young hopefuls will train their brains
06:48to help them progress to the next levels of the dojo.
06:50The more serious our brainees take the training,
06:53the better prepared they'll be for the challenges that lie ahead.
06:57And in level two, that challenge is all about getting their brains to think in a new way.
07:01Brain training.
07:02Take turns to call out the action on your cards.
07:05Everyone must do it only when you say,
07:08Sensei says, before the action.
07:11Sensei says, touch your right ear.
07:16Look happy.
07:17This exercise makes our brainees work their frontal lobes,
07:21as they have to really think about something they would normally do without thinking at all.
07:26Sensei says, stand up.
07:29That's tearing Catherine out.
07:32Touch nose with left hand.
07:34And Maddy too.
07:35Boys one, girls nil.
07:37Training tip time.
07:39Don't rush.
07:40Pause for two seconds to think before you react.
07:44Sensei says, stand up.
07:46Sensei says, spin round clockwise.
07:51Sensei says, move palms up.
07:54If you want to work your frontal lobes at home,
07:56why not play this game with your mates at break time?
07:59It's great fun, and it will help improve your all-round focus.
08:02Touch your right ear.
08:05Hot, hot, hot, hot, hot, hot, hot.
08:07The boys were probably just a little bit better than us.
08:11But we're still going to win.
08:12Part of our evil plan, though.
08:14Yeah, yeah, just pretending to be bad so they go easy on us, then we smish them.
08:19Smish them?
08:20Girls are genuinely rubbish.
08:22They only think about magazines.
08:24And, and wrestlers, in fact.
08:26You're rude.
08:27I can't do that.
08:29I'm in tears.
08:30Boys only think about winning.
08:32There's a real boys versus girls battle going on with this lot.
08:36The girls outshone the boys before they entered the dojo.
08:39But the boys have excelled in the training.
08:42Who will be getting their orange brain belt,
08:43and who will really be getting smished,
08:46and making the walk of eternal regret?
08:48There's only one way to find out.
08:50It's time for our brainies to really put their training to the test.
08:54Guardian of the dojo,
08:55and task adjudicator the she-han
08:57will now demonstrate the level two challenge.
09:00Patsy-feely boxes!
09:04Inside seven boxes is hidden item,
09:07five of which match with item on shopping list.
09:10Brainies must take in turns to reach into each box
09:14and guess what inside.
09:16Not by looking, but by feeling.
09:17If they think that item matches with one on list,
09:22they must try to remember number of box it is in.
09:26Once brainies have felt all seven boxes,
09:28then have 15 seconds to identify which box they are in.
09:35Brainies with least number of correct answer
09:37will be eliminated from dojo.
09:41My brainie tip for this task
09:43is to focus on just the items on the list,
09:46and mentally tick them off as they fail each box.
09:50Work those frontal lobes.
09:53Our brainies are waiting nervously for the gong,
09:56but if you want to know what they don't,
09:58here's what's on their shopping list today.
10:00In blue box number two, we have rice.
10:04Purple box number four hides a block of cheese.
10:08In green box three, we have cotton wool.
10:12The jelly cubes are in orange box five.
10:14And in yellow box six, the chopsticks.
10:18But there are also two distractions.
10:20In pink box number one, there are mealworms,
10:22and in red box seven, it's pencils.
10:25And if all that wasn't enough to make our brainies think differently,
10:28you will also have noticed we've jumbled up the box numbers.
10:31Time to get touchy-feely.
10:35Three, two, one, it's go on the gong.
10:39Brainies have just five seconds to identify each item
10:41before moving on to the next box.
10:44Not being able to see the items,
10:46the challenge for our brainies is to use their training
10:48to think in a new way.
10:50Their hands must become their eyes,
10:52as they focus solely on their sense of touch.
10:54And Catherine is clearly not a fan of touching worms.
10:59It's only cheese in box four, Maddie.
11:01How are you going to cope with the worms?
11:06Unlike Maddie, David is non-plussed by the cheese,
11:10but it's her turn on the worms and she's not happy.
11:14Anarag is, though.
11:15He's finding box three's cotton wool hilarious.
11:18Will Wally and David confuse the pencils in box seven
11:25with box six's chopsticks?
11:29Hezron is hesitating with touching the worms at all.
11:32How can he be expected to remember box number one
11:35if he hasn't felt what's in it?
11:40Hesitating, Hezron is at it again with the cotton wool,
11:43and Maddie's freaking out again,
11:44this time with the jelly cubes in box five.
11:48As the challenge progresses,
11:50Tia and Catherine have a few nasty shocks.
11:53And hesitating, Hezron actually touches something.
11:58That's all seven boxes done,
12:00and our brainies have 15 seconds to work out their answers.
12:04Here's that list again.
12:15And here are the box numbers.
12:18But as the final gong goes,
12:22who's benefited from their training
12:24and allowed their brains to think in a new way?
12:26Results time.
12:29Maddie, three out of five.
12:31Anarag, five out of five.
12:34Catherine, four out of five.
12:37Tia, five out of five.
12:40Maximum Maddie looking nervous.
12:42Her three means she's bottomed so far.
12:44Wally, three out of five.
12:48David, three out of five.
12:50So, it could be a three-way tie between David,
12:53Wally and Maddie.
12:54It all hangs on Hesitating, Hezron.
12:56One out of five.
13:02I guess that guessing just wasn't good enough.
13:05So, Hesitating, Hezron is out,
13:07and he must now leave the dojo to make the...
13:10Walk of Eternal Regret.
13:13I think Anarag's going to win the black belt
13:16because he's smart.
13:17I didn't use a train there
13:19when it came to the final challenge.
13:20I am feeling sad
13:21because I didn't get to go for the black belt.
13:25So, with five levels to go,
13:27only Maddie,
13:28Anarag,
13:29Catherine,
13:30Tia,
13:30Wally and David
13:32have gained their orange brain belts.
13:34I'm relieved to get past the second task.
13:39In the training,
13:40Anarag said that all the girls thought about
13:42was magazines and stuff,
13:44but so far,
13:45the only people that have been out were boys,
13:46so I think we're going to be left with three girls
13:49in the sort of semi-final.
13:52Brain Tito.
13:56Brainy.
13:57Not so brainy.
14:00Who's the clever clogs
14:01and who's brain needs a lot more training?
14:03Mount Everest.
14:04What a beauty.
14:06Now, these two geysers,
14:07Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay,
14:09was the first to climb it.
14:11In the ultimate test of mind over matter,
14:13not only did they conquer a blooming great mountain,
14:16but they also had to battle against snow,
14:17ice and temperatures
14:19that would freeze your permals off.
14:20Mount-tastic.
14:22Now, these look like brave and extreme conditions
14:24of another kind,
14:25the Sahara Marathon Runners.
14:26They think nothing of legging it
14:28four and a half thousand miles
14:29across the Sahara Desert
14:30in temperatures well over 100 degrees.
14:32And it takes these jokers 100 days
14:34just to reach the finish line.
14:36If they ever get there,
14:37I'm tired just thinking about it.
14:39Brainy, Hillary and Tenzing.
14:41Not so brainy,
14:42Sahara Runners.
14:46Brain Jitsu.
14:47Pressure in Brain Jitsu Dojo rising.
14:52Now, just six young hopeful remain to compete
14:55under watchful eye of Sheehan.
14:57Maddie, who won first challenge,
14:59but went from maximum to minimum in last round.
15:03Wally.
15:03In the training,
15:04the girls didn't do so well,
15:06and they just wanted to get back us.
15:08David, been quiet so far.
15:10Could be dark horse in dojo.
15:12Catherine.
15:13So far,
15:14the only people that have been out were boys.
15:15Tia.
15:16She get top marks in last challenge.
15:18Can she build on success in next level?
15:20And Anarag.
15:22Even the girls were kind of rubbish in training.
15:24Kind of pulled it off at the end.
15:26Challenge is about to get even tougher.
15:28Only two brainy will make through to final test.
15:31Table of Supreme Forecasts.
15:33Where must move ball with power of mind.
15:36For chance to win,
15:37Brain Jitsu Black Brain Belt.
15:39Here's the time for...
15:40Level 3.
15:42We've got...
15:42Now, we all like to chat,
15:46but did you know that using words to communicate
15:48is one of the main reasons why our brains have grown so incredibly powerful?
15:53And that having a conversation exercises both halves of the brain.
15:58Now, if all that's doing your head in,
16:00allow me to explain.
16:03Imagine you're on a movie set,
16:05where each crew member is focusing on their own particular job.
16:09But the director,
16:11he has to be aware of what everyone's doing.
16:14It's the same with the brain.
16:16There's the left half, which deals with the details.
16:18And there's the right half,
16:20which looks at the overall picture.
16:22This next level of training strengthens my brainies' focus
16:26by working one half of their brain under pressure.
16:30Hey, pump it up!
16:31Room of Mental Nourishment.
16:35It's our second visit to the Room of Mental Nourishment.
16:38Brainies have a choice as to whether they take part or not,
16:41but any extra training they do will help them with the challenge to come.
16:46For Level 3, it's communication training.
16:49Brain training.
16:50Get into pairs.
16:51Direct a blindfolded trainee to stack the blocks using only one hand.
16:55So it's blindfolds on for the girls,
16:58who will be using the left side of their brain to listen to the instructions,
17:02while the boys use the right side of the brain
17:04to communicate clearly to their partner
17:07how to build the tallest tower they can.
17:09Now take the small one. Use the small one.
17:11Down. Go.
17:12Then you start.
17:13And you've got a big clock.
17:14Turn it so it's, like, vertical.
17:16David is explaining simply and calmly to Minimum Maddy
17:20how to build a tower.
17:21Left. Left. Down.
17:23Down. Stop. Left.
17:26Yeah, right, right, right.
17:27Stop.
17:28Down. It's there.
17:29OK.
17:30And put it down, down, down. Slowly, slowly.
17:32But suddenly Maddy's freaking out.
17:34I can't believe it.
17:36She must stay calm and trust David's instructions
17:38to guide her to build a building block when hands her.
17:40That's just about bouncing.
17:42Oh, my God. Shall we just not do it anymore?
17:44Maddy can't handle the pressure.
17:46Time for a training tip.
17:48Use short, clear instructions and imagine yourself hearing them.
17:53Higher up. Yeah.
17:54There.
17:55Move into truth.
17:57Down, down, down, down.
17:59Down, down, down.
18:02Oh!
18:03Ow!
18:04Well, I suppose it was only a matter of time.
18:06Although Catherine and Wally have managed to keep their tower block towering.
18:11I don't think we did well because the boys gave us good instructions.
18:14I think we did well because we're really good builders.
18:17If we didn't give good instructions, they wouldn't know where to stack it.
18:19So, apart from Maddy freaking, everybody did well in the training.
18:24But there's still a big boy-girl divide in the group.
18:27The girls are sticking together all the way and the boys aren't giving an inch.
18:31But who'll be making the long, lonely walk of eternal regret?
18:35Time to find out as they compete for their green brain belts.
18:38Balloon pop, number drop.
18:45This level tests how well our brainies can communicate.
18:48So our six need to be in teams of two.
18:51The chopsticks will decide the pairs.
18:53So there's David and Anorag, Maddy and Tia, who look delighted to be together,
18:57and Wally and Catherine.
18:59It will be interesting to see how a mixed team works in this very girl-boy divided group.
19:05Quickly as possible, teams must burst six balloon containing number which go together to form some.
19:12Pairs need to decide who is Gaida, who is Poppa.
19:16With Poppa unable to see under helmet, they will be relying on Gaida to help them burst balloon.
19:22When all balloon popped, brainies stop clock by shouting,
19:28RENJITZOO!
19:30Quicker they burst balloon, more time have to pick up number and make some.
19:35Once brainies are happy with answer, hit gong!
19:39The first two teams to work out the correct answer will get green belts and advance to the next level,
19:44while one brainie from the losing team will be eliminated.
19:47The key to success here is for the Gaida to use the right side of their brain
19:54to follow their team-mates' progress and give them clear instructions.
19:58For their partner, it's vital they use the left side of their brain
20:03to focus on these instructions and nothing else.
20:09First to put their communication training to the test are David and Anorag.
20:13Jump!
20:14Everyone did pretty well in the training,
20:16so we're starting with a fairly even playing field.
20:19That's it. Now move forward.
20:22Stop. Now jump.
20:24Anorag's instructions are more precise than Bonsai Topiary.
20:27Shuffle a bit left.
20:29And David is doing more shuffling than a Japanese pack of cards,
20:32but it's paying off.
20:34Jump.
20:36The boys are struggling for the first time here.
20:39That's a jump.
20:42Brain jitsu.
20:43But they're finished, and it's an excellent time of 56 seconds.
20:48Now the girls.
20:50Maddy freaked out a bit in the training.
20:52Will she stay calm in this challenge?
20:54Jump.
20:56Right.
20:57Pop.
20:58Tia is using the right side of her brain well,
21:01and far from freaking,
21:03Maddy is doing more popping than Japanese popcorn.
21:06Pop.
21:08Back.
21:10Pop.
21:12The girls are struggling slightly at the exact same place as the boys before them.
21:16Pop.
21:18Pop.
21:20Brain jitsu.
21:21Finally, they finish, and they're only two seconds behind the boys,
21:24with 58 seconds in total.
21:26Now, Wally and Catherine.
21:29Forward.
21:30A little bit more.
21:32Stop.
21:33Pop.
21:35Back a bit.
21:35Back a bit.
21:37Pop.
21:38This group does have a real boys versus girls rivalry,
21:41and Wally and Catherine certainly seem to be having problems
21:44communicating efficiently with each other.
21:47All right.
21:48Diagonally to your right.
21:50They finally pop the first balloon,
21:51and then it's smooth sailing from then on.
21:54Stop.
21:54Pop.
21:55Brain jitsu.
21:56With a final time of 1 minute 26,
21:59they are quite a lot behind the others,
22:01and it's Anna Rag and David who look for their numbers first.
22:04Here's what our brainies are looking for.
22:09Can you work out the answer in your head?
22:16All three teams are very speedy with collecting the numbers,
22:19but all are taking their time with the answer.
22:226 plus 12 equals 18.
22:2418 divided by 9 equals 2.
22:26Maddy and Tia are the last to finish.
22:28As both other teams got their answer right,
22:30the girls have to go face to face in the...
22:33Stare off.
22:40With just one green belt up for grabs,
22:42both brainies must use all their powers of focus
22:44to fight the urge to blink.
22:46The first to falter will be eliminated.
22:50It's all over in the blink of an eye.
22:52Maddy's in and Tia's out.
22:54Tia's smiling, but Maddy looks gutted to see her friend go.
22:58Are we going to see tears for Tia,
23:00as she makes the...
23:02walk of eternal regret?
23:06The team game went all right,
23:08but when it came to the sum,
23:11we tried a couple of different orders,
23:12but they didn't add up,
23:13and we were last, but we did get it right.
23:17So with four levels left,
23:18it's green brain belts for Maddy,
23:20Anna Rag, Catherine,
23:22Wally and David.
23:23I feel quite happy because I got through by the skin of my teeth
23:26and at the stare off,
23:28but then again I feel really bad
23:29because I had to face my best friend,
23:31and then she went and I feel really bad for her.
23:34The training did help quite a lot
23:35because we learned to work in teams
23:39and, like, guide each other.
23:40This fourth level requires our brain ease
23:52to master a primitive part of the brain
23:54called the amygdala,
23:56the area that responds to threat.
23:58Remember the last time you felt afraid or panicky?
24:05Maybe that time you were about to take a really crucial penalty.
24:09Well, that feeling was triggered by the old amygdala.
24:13Now, stress can make you lose focus.
24:16Fact.
24:17Which is why my brain ease must train
24:20to keep their emotions under control.
24:23Room of Mental Nourishment.
24:25We're back in the room of Mental Nourishment
24:30and it's time for our five Greenbelt holders
24:32to focus on overcoming their fear.
24:36Pass the disgusting drink around the circle,
24:39only passing it on when you have said a different word
24:42relating to the last word someone says.
24:45After one minute,
24:46the Brittany holding the drink has to drink it.
24:49I think Wally means brainy.
24:50The thought of that cod liver oil is distracting him already.
24:54Er, battery.
24:55Energy.
24:58Light.
25:01Darkness.
25:03David's hesitation means he's scared.
25:05Come on, fight that amygdala.
25:07Cockerel.
25:09Mummy.
25:10Now Anna rags at it.
25:12The gong means Catherine has to drink.
25:15Those hesitating boys stitched her up.
25:17Training tip time.
25:25Concentrate.
25:25Try to blank out the time of fear of the drink to avoid panicking.
25:29I'm not playing anymore.
25:30Yeah, that's bad.
25:31She has to drink it once already and that's disgusting.
25:33It's your call, Catherine.
25:35Fear.
25:37Er, fear.
25:39Snake.
25:40Oh dear.
25:41Wally hasn't taken the tip on board at all.
25:44If you're scared, it means you're focused only on the drink,
25:47so you can't think of a word.
25:49Concentrate on the word and ignore the drink and you'll succeed.
25:53Er...
25:53Er...
25:54School.
25:59Peasins.
26:00But in spite of Wally's numerous pauses,
26:03it's Anna Rag who has to drink
26:04and he simply laughs in the face of fear.
26:08Nice.
26:13At first it, I couldn't think of a word,
26:16but after I saw someone drink it,
26:18I was more determined and concentrated more about the words
26:21instead of trying to think about what it was.
26:23I actually knew what I was going to say next beforehand.
26:26I was just playing for time so I don't have to drink it.
26:29Sure you did.
26:30So Catherine set out the second round.
26:33Will it hinder her next performance?
26:35David did badly at first,
26:36but he really took the tip on board and came up trumps.
26:40Will he take his train into the next challenge?
26:42Wally says he was posing on purpose.
26:44The girls don't believe him.
26:46It's time for our five to put their brain train into the test
26:49and combat their fear to compete for their blue brain belts.
26:53Creepy Crawly word grab.
26:57This level real test of mind over matter for brainies
27:01and will push them to really overcome their fear.
27:04Underneath the creepy crawlies lie an assortment of letters worth different points.
27:09Brainies have just one minute to plunge hands into tank
27:12and pick out up to seven letters each.
27:15They then have a further minute to make higher scoring words they can.
27:21To do well, my brainies must block out the signals coming from their amygdala
27:26and ignore the creepy crawlies.
27:28The quicker they combat their fear,
27:30the more time they'll have to pick out the high scoring letters.
27:36Oh my God.
27:38What are they?
27:39Underneath the cockroaches are an extra five golden letters.
27:43If our brainies manage to use one in their word,
27:45they'll double their score.
27:47Maddy and Catherine are really freaking out.
28:02Minimum Maddy must really control her fear.
28:05She's been in the bottom twice in a row.
28:08She really doesn't want to make it three.
28:10Catherine must focus only on the letters.
28:13Maybe she shouldn't have sat out the second round of the training.
28:17The boys are all staying fairly quiet.
28:19David didn't do well at the start of the training,
28:21but the tip obviously helped him as he looks very focused here.
28:26What's Catherine going to do with all those hoes?
28:32The gong means that their minute is up
28:34and now our brainies have another minute
28:36to make the longest word they can out of the letters they have collected.
28:40Anurag has bagged a golden letter,
28:42but can he use it?
28:44See if you can make a word from the anagram on the screen now.
28:49I don't know if that's a word.
28:51I hope it is.
28:53So, how have our green belt holders fared?
28:56Home.
28:57I've never heard of it,
28:58but will the she-han allow it?
29:00Nope.
29:01No points for Maddy.
29:02Mole.
29:03It's a blinder.
29:05A golden letter means ten points for Anurag.
29:07Zoo.
29:09She's finally found the use of those hoes.
29:1111 points for Catherine,
29:12even after the screaming.
29:14What?
29:15It's certainly tickled the she-han,
29:17but will she allow it?
29:18No.
29:19Zero the hero for Wally.
29:22Ross.
29:25David has aced the final fear exam.
29:2814 points.
29:29He's got the blue along with Anurag and Catherine.
29:32Which means that Maddy is in the bottom two again.
29:36So, she and Wally have got one chance
29:37to prove the power of their minds in the...
29:41High Break Chopsticks Challenge!
29:45It's tough but fair.
29:46Our brainees must engage their occipital lobes,
29:49the seeing part of their brain,
29:50and quickly work out how many chopsticks they see.
29:53They have just five seconds to write down their answers.
29:56If they lose focus and panic under the pressure,
29:58it'll all be over.
29:59Time to reveal our brainees answers.
30:0253.
30:0534.
30:06The actual number is...
30:10So, Wally's guess of 34 was furthest from the correct number.
30:14He looks gutted.
30:16Maddy's in and he's out.
30:18And he must now leave the dojo for good.
30:20The walk of eternal regret.
30:25I'm feeling kind of annoyed
30:26because I wanted to get into the final three,
30:29but then again, I didn't do too badly,
30:31so it's not all that bad.
30:33So, with only three levels to go,
30:34Maddy, Anurag, Catherine and David
30:36proudly wear their blue brain belts.
30:40The training didn't really help me
30:41because the drink wasn't moving.
30:43It wasn't really that bad,
30:44the creepy crories,
30:45because they don't really bite you,
30:47so just brush it off and then that's done.
30:49Brainy, not so brainy.
30:59Who's the clever clogs
31:00and whose brain needs a lot more training?
31:03Picture the scene.
31:04It's 1666,
31:06and this young chap, Isaac Newton,
31:08is catching 40 winks in his orchard
31:10when Wallop, an apple,
31:12hits him right on the nut.
31:13But Isaac doesn't just yelp
31:15and rub the large bump on his curly head.
31:17He only goes and discovers the force
31:19that keeps our feet on the ground
31:20and the Earth in orbit around the sun,
31:22namely, gravity.
31:23Apple-tastic.
31:25Now, take a look at this lot.
31:27Every year, they try and fight against gravity
31:29as they hurl themselves off Bognapir.
31:31The rules are simple.
31:32Fly the furthest and win a cash prize.
31:35Come on, son, you can do it.
31:36Oh, dear.
31:36Back to the old drawing board, I think.
31:39Brainy, Isaac Newton.
31:40Not so brainy.
31:41Bird-brain-bird-men of Bognapir.
31:45Brain Jitsu.
31:49Tension in Brain Jitsu Dojo mounting
31:51has now just four young hopeful
31:53remain to compete under watchful eye of Shihan.
31:56Catherine, in spite of fear,
31:58has pulled through two fear-filled challenges.
32:01Can determination see her through to end?
32:03Minimum Maddie,
32:04who almost lost in three challenge in a row.
32:07Every one, I'm in a tiebreaker,
32:08and then they go,
32:10and I feel really bad for them.
32:11David, Dark Horse of Dojo,
32:13who's steadily making way towards finish line.
32:16And Confident Anorag.
32:18Even though I didn't do that bad on this task,
32:19I still feel confident that I can gain the black belt.
32:23Only two brainy will make final test.
32:26Table of Supreme Focus.
32:28Where must move ball with power of mind.
32:31Brain Jitsu Black Brain Belt is within grasp.
32:34It's time for...
32:35Level 5.
32:36Red Belt!
32:38Now, if you're learning how to ride a half-pipe
32:41on a BMX bike,
32:43then you might be interested to know
32:45that your new hobby is doing wonders
32:47for your old grey matter.
32:49Exercising both the thinking part of the brain,
32:52the cerebrum,
32:53and the doing part,
32:55the cerebellum.
32:56You see, doing new things
32:58increases the flow of blood into your head,
33:00which keeps your brain cells topped up
33:03with the oxygen they need
33:04to perform at their best.
33:06So, in Level 5,
33:08my brainy's are going to be challenged
33:09to learn new skills.
33:11Now, you can speed up how quickly
33:14the brain takes in new stuff.
33:16And this is what our brainy's
33:18are going to train for now.
33:20Room of Mental Nourishment.
33:22It's our brainy's fourth visit
33:26to the Room of Mental Nourishment,
33:27and for this brain training exercise,
33:29they're going to be really working their brains
33:31by learning something new.
33:35Brain training.
33:36Flip and catch as many drinks,
33:37coasters as you can.
33:39OK.
33:41This exercise combines both mental
33:43and physical skills.
33:44Our brainy's are stretching
33:45the thinking part of their brain
33:46by concentrating on their new skill.
33:49And they're also flexing
33:50the doing part of their brain
33:51by performing the physical action.
33:55Minimum Maddie will be back
33:56to maximum Maddie
33:57if she carries on like that.
33:58Good wrist flick coaster action there.
34:03It's just practice.
34:04You know, I can really do that.
34:06It's perfect, Steve.
34:08Ow!
34:09David and Catherine
34:10not doing quite so well.
34:15Training tip time, I think.
34:18Approach this positively.
34:20Laugh out loud for 30 seconds.
34:22What?
34:25It's not that's the right tip.
34:28Oh, that's scary.
34:30Anirag really going to town
34:31with the tip,
34:32but has it helped him with the task?
34:33It's quite a bit.
34:34It's still a big one's laughing sound.
34:36Success at last.
34:42A positive attitude really does help
34:44when you're learning a new skill.
34:46Stay confident and avoid getting flustered
34:48and you're much more likely to succeed.
34:50Based on that task,
34:52I think either Mia or Catherine
34:53will be eliminated in the next round
34:55because I was terrible
34:57and she wasn't that good.
34:59I think it's probably true
35:00that I'll be out, or you,
35:02because I was terrible before the laughter
35:05and I was terrible after the laughter.
35:07So, huh?
35:08Is that right?
35:09I know I'm a YouTuber
35:10and I'm quite confident with this task.
35:12I'm quite good at learning new skills.
35:15Confident Anirag seems very sure he'll get the red.
35:18Can his positivity see him through?
35:20And in the battle of boys versus girls,
35:22will it be David and Catherine
35:23going head to head for the last red belt?
35:25Only time will tell
35:27as our four now put their new skills train into the test
35:30and compete for their red brain belts.
35:34Quick, quick, don't drip.
35:38Brainy must use training to keep clear head
35:40and steady hand
35:42to carry water across obstacle course,
35:44spilling as little as possible.
35:47There is trampoline to glide over,
35:49seesaw to deal with
35:51and stairs to climb.
35:52But blue belt holders
35:55also racing against clock
35:57and the faster their time,
35:59the more points they can add to their total.
36:02Brainy with slowest time
36:04will be eliminated.
36:07The tip for my brainy's
36:09in this next task is to
36:10remain calm
36:12and think positive thoughts.
36:15Giving in to frustration
36:16will only lessen their focus
36:18and slow them up.
36:19As the she-hand fills
36:21our blue belt holders' balls,
36:23the dojo fills with tension.
36:25Our brainy's are so close
36:26to the black belt
36:27they can almost feel it
36:28on their foreheads.
36:29But who'll use their training
36:31to boost their mental confidence
36:33as they learn a new skill?
36:36It's red water for Minimum Maddie
36:38as she starts them off.
36:41Maddie did well in the training
36:42and I have to say
36:44this is textbook stuff.
36:45She's fast, controlled
36:46and so far
36:47she's only had one spill.
36:55She's really using her training
36:57to control her body
36:58with her mind.
36:59Even the seesaw
37:00looks like a steady walk
37:01in the park.
37:06It's all over very quickly.
37:08That's got to be a record
37:09and she knows she's done well.
37:11But let's see how well.
37:15She's aced it.
37:23She's chuffed to be back
37:24on Maximum Form.
37:26Now for Confident Anorag.
37:30Anorag also did well
37:31in the training room.
37:32He's taken it much slower
37:33than Maximum Maddie.
37:38Oh, nasty spill there.
37:40Anorag's natural confidence
37:44means he's mentally
37:45and physically mastered
37:46the seesaw
37:47without hesitation.
37:49That's a shame for him.
37:50He mustn't let the spill
37:51knock his confidence.
37:54And he didn't.
37:55Superb control
37:56on the stairs there
37:57and he's finished.
37:58But how's he fared?
37:5920 very frothy units
38:07for Confident Anorag.
38:09But I wonder
38:09if his speed
38:10has let him down.
38:12Catherine and David
38:13both admitted
38:14they were weak
38:14in the training.
38:16Will they manage
38:16to pull it together now?
38:18Catherine's up first.
38:22It's a bad start.
38:24Catherine needs to focus
38:25her mind
38:25to control her body.
38:26She isn't holding
38:28the ball level.
38:29This doesn't board well.
38:33That was a fast
38:34and steady walk there.
38:35She should believe
38:36in herself.
38:42Quite a few spills
38:43for her there
38:43and her face
38:44says it all.
38:45She's not a happy brainy.
38:46But has she done
38:47better than she thought?
38:5217 units.
38:53She doesn't know
38:54how well the others
38:55have done.
38:55But she'll have to
38:56hope she was faster.
38:58Now David.
39:01David was first
39:02to admit
39:02he wasn't so hot
39:03in the training.
39:04He's taking this
39:05slow and steady
39:06to keep his control.
39:10Two nasty spills
39:11in a row there
39:12and now he's practically
39:13taking pigeon steps
39:14to make amends.
39:20But it's spinning
39:21central for David
39:22at the end.
39:23Oh, let's see
39:23how he did.
39:2520 units.
39:31But those pigeon steps
39:32could well have
39:33cost him the red.
39:34Time for the results.
39:36Maximum Maddy
39:37had the fastest time
39:38of 37 seconds
39:39so she gets
39:40three points
39:41to add to her
39:4121 units
39:42a total of
39:4324 points.
39:45Confident Anorag
39:45with one minute
39:46seven seconds
39:47he has the third
39:48fastest time
39:49and one point
39:50to add to his
39:5020 units
39:51is 21 in total.
39:54Catherine's time
39:54was an excellent
39:5552 seconds.
39:57She gets two points
39:58to add to her
39:5817 units
39:59to make a grand
40:00total of 19.
40:02It all hangs on David.
40:04With the slowest time
40:05he gets no points
40:06to add to his
40:0620 units
40:07but he's pipped Catherine
40:08to the post
40:09by one point
40:10and she's out.
40:11Walk of Eternal Regret.
40:17I'm disappointed
40:18because I thought
40:19that if I got this far
40:20I'd have a chance
40:21of being the black belt.
40:22I think either
40:23Anorag or Maddy
40:24will get the black belt
40:26because they seem
40:27more focused
40:28in most of the tasks.
40:30So with only
40:30two levels left
40:31Maddy, Anorag
40:33and David
40:33stand proud in red.
40:35I think I'm going to be
40:36at the table
40:36of supreme focus
40:37but opposite me
40:39I think it's going
40:39to be Maddy.
40:40Now it's against boys
40:41I really want that
40:41black belt
40:42and I'm not going
40:42to let anything
40:43stop me.
40:47Brain Titter!
40:51Level 6 are
40:52Prod Belt!
40:54It's this level
40:55which will decide
40:56which two
40:57of my remaining
40:58brainees
40:59will go on
41:00to battle it out
41:01for the black belt.
41:04Now imagine
41:06you're a gymnast.
41:07Not only
41:08do you have
41:08your routine
41:09to remember
41:10but you've got
41:11to keep in time
41:11to the music
41:12and you've got
41:14a load of people
41:15watching you.
41:16It's remembering
41:16stuff like this
41:17under pressure
41:18that Level 6
41:19is all about.
41:21It centres
41:22around three areas
41:23of the brain
41:24the seeing part
41:25the occipital lobes
41:27the memory part
41:28the temporal lobes
41:30and the movement part
41:32the cerebellum.
41:34Room of mental nourishment.
41:36With only three
41:39brainees remaining
41:40this penultimate
41:41brain training challenge
41:42is all about memory.
41:46Brain training.
41:48Memorise the sequence
41:48of colours.
41:53So our brainees
41:54are testing
41:55the occipital lobes
41:56the seeing part
41:57of their brain
41:58and their temporal lobes
42:00the memory bank.
42:01They're very quiet
42:02aren't they?
42:03The room of mental
42:03nourishment
42:04has never been
42:04so silent.
42:14Finally
42:15Minam and Maddie
42:15breaks the silence
42:16and it's time to test.
42:18Orange, silver, red,
42:19green, pink, green,
42:22purple,
42:24hmm, purple,
42:27red, blue.
42:28No.
42:28It's pink.
42:29You got that one.
42:29You said that one's
42:30red.
42:30Red.
42:32You're a harsh woman
42:33Maddie.
42:34That was pretty good
42:34for a first try.
42:36OK.
42:36I'll go next.
42:38Just to warn you guys
42:39I'm going to do
42:39really badly.
42:41Orange, silver,
42:43red, green,
42:45pink,
42:47green,
42:49purple,
42:50yellow,
42:51pink,
42:52blue.
42:54Did I get it right?
42:55Yeah.
42:55Did I?
42:56A little slow
42:57but pretty impressive
42:58stuff.
42:59David's turn.
43:00Yellow, silver,
43:02red,
43:05um,
43:06um,
43:07you're obviously
43:09not very good at this.
43:11I thought that was
43:12really bad.
43:14It's high time.
43:15We had a training tip.
43:16Don't you think, David?
43:18Create a song
43:19linking the colours
43:20together.
43:21OK, so we'll have
43:22to think of a tune.
43:23Um, so silver,
43:25um, silver,
43:26green,
43:27red,
43:27green,
43:28yellow.
43:30It's easy to remember
43:31if you use a well-known
43:32tune, Maddie.
43:33I can't see that one
43:34in the charts
43:35any time soon.
43:35Green, red,
43:36green, yellow,
43:37pink, pink,
43:38blue.
43:38Memory tests like this
43:39are a great way
43:40of training your brain.
43:41Why not try to create a song
43:43out of your mate's
43:44mobile phone number
43:45and see if it helps you
43:46to remember it?
43:47The question is,
43:48has the song worked
43:49for our red belt holders?
43:51Green, red,
43:52green, yellow.
43:53Do you want to look?
43:54Double, pink,
43:55blue,
43:58orange,
43:59purple.
44:00Silver, green,
44:01red,
44:02green,
44:02yellow,
44:03pink,
44:04pink,
44:04blue,
44:05orange,
44:06purple.
44:07Yay.
44:08Silver, green,
44:09pink,
44:10green,
44:11yellow.
44:11No,
44:12silver, green,
44:13red,
44:14green,
44:14yellow,
44:16pink,
44:16pink,
44:17blue.
44:21orange,
44:22purple.
44:25I reckon I'm the best here
44:26because I don't,
44:28yeah,
44:29I got it all right.
44:30But the rules were,
44:31if you get one wrong,
44:32then you get it all wrong.
44:33But I got it first
44:34so you had more chance
44:34to look at it.
44:35I think Maddie was better
44:36than Anurag
44:37because she remembered
44:39them both times.
44:41Unlike me,
44:41I just couldn't remember them.
44:43That's what you think,
44:44but let's see what happens
44:45in the task.
44:47So,
44:47who was better,
44:48Maddie or Anurag?
44:49David really struggled.
44:51Will it cost him his place
44:52on the table of Supreme Focus?
44:54There's only one way
44:55to find out.
44:59Super Memory Dizzy Dance.
45:03A brainy is a spin around
45:05on Dizzy Wheel
45:06total of ten times
45:07while using all power of focus
45:09to memorize five images
45:11in front of them.
45:12Then,
45:13must race against clock
45:14to cross balancing beam
45:16and collect exact opposite
45:18of those image
45:19from ten hanging above them.
45:22If brainy remember seeing sun,
45:24then must pick moon.
45:26When happy,
45:27they have arranged images
45:28in correct order.
45:30Must hit gong
45:31to make clock stop.
45:32My tip for the brainy's
45:36is to keep focused
45:37on the main objective
45:38and use their training
45:40to link the five images together.
45:44So,
45:45our final three
45:46brave the wheel
45:46to compete
45:47for their brown brain belt
45:48and for a chance
45:49to triumph
45:50over the table
45:51of Supreme Focus.
45:52Time to spin.
45:53Will their memory training
45:57help our brainy's
45:58ignore the effects
45:58of the wheel
45:59and memorize the images?
46:01The order they are looking for
46:02is at the bottom of the screen.
46:10Maximum Maddy
46:11looking very wobbly
46:12at the start.
46:13She did well in the training,
46:14but can she bring it in here?
46:18Maddy's obviously
46:18finding this challenge
46:19more confusing
46:20than a cappuccino
46:21at Japanese tea ceremony.
46:23She chose go
46:24and now she's
46:24putting it back again.
46:26Don't forget
46:26our brainy's
46:27must fight their dizziness
46:28and pick out
46:29the opposite images
46:30of the ones
46:31they saw on the wheel.
46:32So, here are the images
46:33that Maddy saw
46:34and here are their opposites.
46:40For everyone she gets wrong,
46:41there's a five-second penalty.
46:43Indecision with the last two there.
46:55But she's finally gonged.
46:57Looks like the dizziness
46:58got to her though.
46:59Now Anorag.
47:08Anorag thought he did
47:09very well in the training,
47:10but the spinning
47:11has definitely made him unsteady.
47:13Can he use
47:14what he's learnt
47:15to fight this distraction?
47:17Don't forget
47:18that this challenge
47:18decides which two brainy's
47:20will go through
47:20to the final round,
47:22the table of supreme focus.
47:27A big pause
47:28from Anorag there.
47:29Can he make up time
47:30with the order?
47:31Very fast with the order there,
47:42but is it enough
47:43to get the brown brain belt?
47:45David's turn.
47:47David's struggled
47:48in the training.
47:49Can he master
47:50his grey matter
47:50now that it really matters?
47:55David's doing more
47:56to-ing and fro-ing
47:57than two samurais
47:58on the seesaw.
47:59The dizziness
48:00has clearly
48:00distracted him.
48:02And that pause
48:03was bigger
48:04than a sweaty
48:05sumo's dry
48:05cleaning bill.
48:12He's finished,
48:13but how has he fared?
48:14Time for the results.
48:17Maddie.
48:18One minute 44
48:19and four penalties.
48:21That's two minutes
48:22four in total.
48:23Anorag,
48:251.38
48:26with three penalties,
48:27so it's 1.53
48:28in total.
48:29He's in.
48:31Maddie's place
48:31in the dojo
48:32hangs on David's score.
48:34One minute 56 seconds
48:35with two penalties,
48:37which means
48:37there's only two seconds
48:38between him and Maddie,
48:40but maximum Maddie
48:41is in
48:41and David
48:42is out.
48:43Walk of eternal
48:50regret.
48:51The training,
48:52if I had done it
48:53better,
48:53I think I would have
48:54been more confident
48:55going to the next challenge.
48:58I think Anorag
48:58will win
48:59because he did
48:59very well
49:00in the training
49:00and the actual
49:01challenges.
49:03So with only
49:03one level to go,
49:04it leaves just
49:05maximum Maddie
49:06and confident Anorag
49:07to wear the
49:08brown brain belts
49:09in preparation
49:09for the final.
49:11I'm really relieved
49:11that I got the
49:12brown belt
49:12because I was
49:14two seconds in it.
49:15Now that I've
49:16got the brown belt,
49:17the black belt
49:17really feels
49:18in my grasp.
49:21Brain Tito!
49:25Eight young hopeful
49:27arrive at
49:27Brain Training Dojo
49:28to fight for
49:29Brain Jitsu
49:30Black Brain Belt.
49:32As challenges
49:33got tougher,
49:34brainies get fewer.
49:35Some lost control,
49:38others too slow.
49:39But one by one,
49:41they've been eliminated
49:42until just two remain.
49:44Maximum Maddie,
49:45nearly out for time.
49:47She had more lives
49:48than Siamese cut.
49:50And confident Anorag,
49:52strong contender
49:53in every level
49:53and whose self-assurance
49:55has never faltered.
49:56But who will use
49:57their brain training
49:58to the max
49:59to win final challenge?
50:02Level seven,
50:04Black Belt!
50:06So,
50:07this is it.
50:08Between my two
50:09remaining brainies
50:10and the black belt
50:12stands Brain Jitsu's
50:13ultimate challenge,
50:15a mental duel
50:16that is head-to-head
50:18in every sense.
50:20The battlefield,
50:21a table,
50:22but not just any table.
50:23For this,
50:24this, my friends,
50:25is the table
50:26of supreme focus,
50:28where our two brainies
50:29will attempt
50:30to move a ball
50:30across the table
50:31using only
50:33the power
50:34of their mind.
50:35By getting this far,
50:37they've already
50:37demonstrated
50:38mental control
50:39under many different
50:40types of pressure.
50:42But now,
50:43they must learn
50:43to focus their minds
50:44by entering
50:45a state
50:46of total calm.
50:47To prepare them,
50:49my two finalists
50:50will need to get
50:50into the zone.
50:53Room of Mental
50:54Nourishment.
50:57So,
50:58it all comes down
50:59to two.
51:00Confident Anorag
51:01and Maximum Maddy.
51:02In this final room
51:03of mental nourishment,
51:04our two brown
51:05brain belt holders
51:06must bring together
51:07all the training
51:08they've received
51:09in the dojo
51:10to achieve
51:10the ultimate focus.
51:13Brain training.
51:15Mentally prepare yourself
51:16for the final task.
51:17Don't let the sounds
51:18put you off.
51:22So,
51:23our two finalists
51:24have to block out
51:24the noises
51:25and focus only
51:26on finding their
51:27inner calm
51:28and concentration.
51:29Maddy seems
51:30to be concentrating
51:31hard on eating.
51:33Anorag can't
51:33stop scoffing too.
51:35And is that a smile
51:36playing on his lips?
51:37He doesn't seem
51:38to be in the zone
51:38at all.
51:40Training tip time.
51:41OK,
51:42here's a tip.
51:43Not that I need it.
51:43tense
51:44and then release
51:45individual parts
51:46of your body
51:47from head to toe.
51:54Hopefully I'm going
51:55to win
51:55because I really
51:56want that black belt.
51:58I really feel
51:59confident now
51:59that I can win.
52:02She's never
52:03going to win.
52:04Never.
52:05I'm quite calm.
52:06She isn't.
52:07She always gets
52:07worried about things
52:08like cockroaches.
52:09You act all
52:10sort of,
52:11oh, I'm not bothered
52:12about that kind
52:12of thing.
52:13But you are really.
52:14Sure.
52:15Sure.
52:17Confident Anorag
52:18won the last task
52:19and has never
52:20been in the bottom
52:21two.
52:22Can he sustain
52:22this impressive record?
52:24Maddy's brain jitsu
52:25experience has had
52:26more ups and downs
52:27than a roller coaster.
52:28Will her dojo journey
52:30end in a downward
52:31spiral or will she
52:32go out on a high?
52:33table of supreme
52:39focus.
52:41Rules are simple.
52:43Each brainy
52:44must push ball
52:45to the opponent's
52:46end of table
52:46using only power
52:48of mind.
52:49Sensors in
52:50brainy's headbands
52:51measure brainwaves.
52:53This is converted
52:53into electrical signal
52:55which moves ball.
52:57More focused mind,
52:58stronger signal,
53:00and faster ball
53:01will travel.
53:01See how brainies
53:03are doing
53:04on this readout.
53:06Two lines
53:06represent each
53:07player's brainwaves.
53:08Lower the line,
53:10more concentrated
53:11their mind.
53:11To make sure
53:22this is the test
53:22of all tests,
53:23our brainy's
53:24must win the best
53:25of three rounds.
53:26So, this is the
53:28big one.
53:28If they are to succeed,
53:30our two finalists
53:31must use all their
53:32brain training
53:32to enter their
53:33zone of absolute
53:34focus.
53:35This is the reason
53:37they came to the
53:37dojo.
53:38This is the moment
53:40they've been training
53:41for.
53:43The she-hand
53:44starts them off
53:45and the mind race
53:46is on.
53:47Confident anorag
53:48is first to move
53:49the ball.
53:50It's not flying
53:51towards Maddie's
53:51end.
53:52In fact,
53:53it's moving
53:53very slowly.
53:55You can see
53:55on the computer
53:56readout that both
53:57players' lines
53:58are almost identical.
54:00Both brainy's
54:01look incredibly
54:02focused.
54:03batter tempura.
54:11Maximum Maddie
54:12has stopped
54:12the ball
54:13in its tracks
54:13and is moving
54:14it back towards
54:15anorag's end
54:16and it's flying
54:17down.
54:21You can see
54:22Maddie's green line
54:23is way below
54:24anorag's now.
54:25So it's round
54:38one to
54:39Maximum Maddie.
54:40She maxed out
54:41her focus in that
54:42round to come
54:43from behind
54:43when it looked
54:44like it was
54:44all over.
54:47Confident anorag
54:48is smiling
54:49but he should
54:49watch out
54:50because the
54:50look on
54:51Maddie's face
54:51is raw
54:52determination.
54:53Time for
54:54round two.
54:55Leaping
55:03Sam and
55:03Shishimi
55:04Maddie's off
55:05again
55:05and that ball
55:06is moving
55:06faster than
55:07a bullet train.
55:08Her green line
55:09is flat and low
55:10and anorag's
55:11black line
55:11says it all.
55:14Anorag's
55:15black line
55:16has dipped
55:16can he get it
55:17back?
55:18Nope
55:18it's all over
55:19Maximum Maddie
55:20has done it
55:21and she looks
55:21genuinely shocked.
55:23She truly
55:24used her train
55:24into the max
55:25to prove herself
55:26a true winner
55:27of the black
55:28brain belt
55:28of brain jitsu.
55:32When I started
55:33I thought I'd
55:33come out fast
55:34and to be here
55:36right now
55:36is just
55:37really good.
55:38Definitely will
55:38wear my brain jitsu
55:39black belt with pride.
55:41Glory for one
55:41brings disappointment
55:43for another.
55:44He fought
55:44valiantly
55:45but now anorag
55:46must leave the
55:47dojo.
55:49Oh my god.
55:52Walk of
55:53eternal
55:54regret.
55:56I think
55:57literally
55:57got it.
55:58I don't know
55:59how did I lose?
56:00I was so calm
56:01and I think
56:02in the end
56:03I just think
56:04she's got some
56:05psychic power
56:06she moved
56:06the ball
56:06towards me.
56:07So anorag lost
56:10focus when it
56:10mattered the most
56:11and it cost him
56:12the black
56:13but it's a triumph
56:14for maximum
56:14Maddy.
56:16After riding high
56:17in the first
56:17challenge and then
56:18plummeting almost
56:19to the bottom
56:20three times in a row
56:21she regained her
56:22brain power
56:23she built on that
56:24success to take
56:25it all the way
56:25to the max
56:26to earn back
56:27her nickname
56:28and prove herself
56:29worthy to wear
56:30the brain jitsu
56:31black brain belt.
56:34Our journey
56:35has come to an end.
56:37Another brainy
56:38has proven themselves
56:39worthy to wear
56:40the brain jitsu
56:41black belt.
56:42But while brain jitsu
56:44might represent
56:45the most extreme
56:46form of brain
56:47training
56:47its philosophy
56:48can be shared
56:49by all.
56:52Each and every
56:52one of you
56:53has it in your
56:54power to grow
56:55your mind.
