00:00Hello there. It's going to be a cloudy and wet end towards the weekend, but it will start to turn a bit drier as we head towards Christmas week.
00:08And as we head towards the big day, we'll start to turn a little bit colder as well.
00:11But for the time being, we have this area of rain which is slowly moving its way northwards across England and Wales towards Scotland.
00:18It will be heavy across parts of the Pennines and as it reaches the Scottish border as well.
00:23But behind that, it is turning a lot drier as well.
00:25We may even see some breaks in that cloud, but it will still be a mild night to come.
00:30Temperatures not really falling away too much.
00:32We may just see those temperatures dip to around 6 or 7 degrees in the very far southeast on Monday morning.
00:38Now, this rain will continually push its way northwards through the day.
00:42So it will still be a wet start for Scotland as well as Northern Ireland.
00:45But as we head towards midday, that rain eventually clears its way northwards.
00:49And it does turn a lot drier here and across the rest of England and Wales as well,
00:54where there could be a few breaks in that cloud, we may start to see some brightness trying to poke its way through.
00:59But where we do have that cloud thick enough, it may just bring some light rain and drizzle,
01:02mostly across Wales and the southwest as well.
01:06Will be another mild day to come, highs of around 11 or 12 degrees,
01:10maybe just a little bit cooler up towards Scotland at around 9 or 10.
01:14Now, as we head through this evening and through the overnight period,
01:17we may start to see those gaps in that cloud start to fill in a little bit more.
01:22So a pretty murky night to come on Tuesday.
01:24We may just see a few more showers start to develop again across the southwest,
01:28across Devon and Cornwall, as well as the far east of Scotland here.
01:32But under that cloud, it's not going to be too much of a cold night to come.
01:35A frost-free night expected with temperatures not really falling below sort of 4 or 3 degrees,
01:40maybe even across Scotland where we do have those gaps.
01:43It may just dip a little bit further as we head through Tuesday morning.
01:48But Tuesday, once again, it's going to be another cloudy day, unfortunately.
01:51Those winds sort of coming off the North Sea, bringing in some moisture.
01:54So any gaps, especially towards the east, will start to fill in.
01:58And the showers across the southwest will slowly start to move their way off towards the Celtic Sea.
02:03So another cloudy, murky day to come.
02:05Maybe just a few spots of light rain and drizzle where that cloud is thick enough,
02:10especially across the north and on those higher hills where you could get some hill fog as well.
02:14But a much cooler day to come compared to today.
02:17Temperature's not really getting much higher than the high single figures.
02:21I think the highest will probably be around 10 degrees, again, in the southwest.
02:24So a fresher feel than what we've seen over the last few days.
02:27And that trend is going to continue as we head towards Christmas as well.
02:31So we have this high-pressure system towards the north,
02:34which is allowing these easterly winds to strengthen as we go through the next couple of days.
02:40So we'll have that mild air mass on Christmas Eve.
02:42But if you see the colours coming in towards the very far southeast, it is starting to turn blue.
02:46So it is bringing in that colder, fresher air mass, especially across the southern half of the UK.
02:51So it will feel much more colder than it has done over the last few days.
02:55Still got that mild air across Scotland and Northern Ireland.
02:59But they will eventually start to see some colder airs coming in as well.
03:03Now, as we head towards the big day, details of this may change a little bit.
