09 November - National evening forecast presented by Liam Eslick
Transcript
00:00Hello there. It's been quite an unsettled end towards the weekend with plenty of heavy
00:05showers around. Now they're going to continue through the evening and into the early part
00:09of the new working week. A lot of these heavier showers are moving up from the south west
00:14across central and southern England as well as much as southern Scotland which will move
00:19their way northwards through the early hours of Monday morning which can again potentially
00:24be heavy at times. But for a lot of people it will be a clearer night to come, some drier
00:29interludes in between those showers. But under those clearer skies it will still be pretty
00:34mild. A lot of places staying around double figures. A bit cooler across Scotland where
00:39we do have some clearer skies which could see some mist and fog patches for a time on Monday
00:44morning. Now for many people it will be a brighter start. A lot of clearer skies to begin with
00:50across Wales and England. That rain does continue across much of northern Scotland which again
00:55will be heavy at times. But further south we do have these heavier showers moving up from
01:01the English Channel across central and eastern England into the afternoon. They are looking
01:07quite heavy. They could cause a bit of disruption at times. Some surface water flooding but through
01:12the afternoon they do turn a little bit more isolated across the central and southwestern parts
01:17of England and Wales. And under those brighter skies it will feel rather mild once again. Temperatures
01:23around the mid-teens. So 13s and 14s here. 11s and 10s across much of Scotland in some brighter
01:30skies as well developing in the afternoon. Now as we go through the afternoon and into the
01:36evening much of those heavier showers will move off towards the North Sea. There are going
01:40to be a few blustery showers around the coast of around Wales and through the English Channel.
01:46But some clearer skies to come ahead of this band of rain moving in towards the southwest
01:52by Tuesday morning. But even under those clearer skies it will start to feel a little bit fresher
01:56than what we've seen over the last few days. Temperatures dipping down towards those mid-single
02:01figures. Maybe a little bit milder under that cloud towards the southwest. But with this
02:07band of rain it will slowly start to move its way north and eastwards through Tuesday morning.
02:13It's likely to be heavy. Again we could see potential disruptions with this rain. Turning heavier
02:19across northern England as it reaches southern Scotland as well. And a band of heavier showers
02:25across the southwest into the afternoon once again. A bit drier towards the southeast. It
02:31will be cloudy as well at times and still clinging on to that mild temperatures. Around the mid-teens
02:36once again. 13s and 14s. But the winds will be rather strong as well. Especially across the southwest
02:42where we could potentially see some coastal gales in towards the afternoon as well.
02:48Now that unsettled nature will continue through the rest of the week. But to keep up to date
