00:00Hello there, good evening.
00:02If you're heading out for any Saturday night plans, well, a coat is certainly a good idea.
00:06We are still expecting some spells of rain, particularly across East Anglia, London, parts
00:11of South East England.
00:12Now, this will eventually clear away, though leaving behind plenty of clouds.
00:16Some drier spells, though these soon are going to be replaced by some quite heavy, blustery
00:21showers initially moving into Northern Ireland and skirting their way eastwards into many
00:25western areas of the UK.
00:27So quite a wet start here, quite blustery, with some heavy downpours expected.
00:31A very different story across the far north and northeast of Scotland, though.
00:35Calmer with some clear skies, so quite a widespread frost, some possible icy patches, so take
00:40care if you're in this region during the early hours of the morning.
00:44And mostly dry to the east, though there is going to be plenty of cloud, frost free for
00:48many areas, but it is going to be quite a cold start to Sunday morning.
00:53And that leads us into a very unsettled day.
00:56This heavy band of showery rain will continue to skirt its way eastwards.
01:00Still some very heavy, blustery downpours associated with this and remaining quite cloudy across
01:05Scotland, Northern Ireland, many areas of North West England, possibly northern areas of Wales
01:09too.
01:10And still some showers here at times as well.
01:13Now, it could brighten up across central areas of England, parts of the south and southeast.
01:17Some patchy cloud and also some brighter spells, but we still can't rule out some showers,
01:21though the bulk of those showers will be across mainly western areas.
01:26Temperatures up by a degree or two in the south.
01:28Highs reaching between 10 to 12 degrees Celsius here, so just above average for the time of
01:32year.
01:33But across the bulk of the country, it is still going to be feeling rather chilly, particularly
01:38where we see those cloudy skies linger on.
01:42Now into the evening, we will continue to see some cloud and also some showers.
01:46Low pressure is drifting into the North Sea, so we will start to see a change of our wind
01:50direction to more of a northerly.
01:52So it is going to continue to feel quite chilly as we head our way into Monday.
01:56Still quite a lot of cloud around overnight and still some showers at times and still
02:00quite blustery, particularly around any coastal areas.
02:03So that should keep temperatures up.
02:05So once again into Monday, mostly frost-free, though we could start to see some quite strengthening
02:09winds through the Bristol Channel at times, so do keep an eye out for any Met Office weather
02:13warnings here.
02:14So quite a strong, gusty start to the day around Bristol, southern parts of Wales and also southwest
02:21England.
02:22Plenty of cloud and some showers.
02:23But the good news is as we head into Monday, there will be lots of dry weather and some
02:27bright if not sunny spells, mainly in inland areas.
02:31Still feeling cold once again, a return of that more northerly brisk wind which is going
02:35to add on to the windchill and this at times will sweep in some showers around coastal areas
02:40and they could turn wintry again, mainly across the Scottish Highlands or any high ground areas
02:45across parts of the North.
02:47So a slightly chillier feel to the day, highs reaching between 8 to 9 degrees Celsius.
02:53And the chilly feel is here to stay for the beginning of next week.
02:56With low pressure out to the east and a ridge of high pressure to the west, we continue to
03:01see that northerly flow of air.
03:02So things feeling cold once again as we head into Tuesday.
03:06Some slightly lighter winds too, so we could also see some frost in places and it is going
03:11to be remaining cold, particularly similar as to what we saw last week in the brisk winds.
03:16That's really going to add on to the windchill.
03:18But if you're not a fan of the cold weather, there is some milder weather on the way as
03:22we head towards the end of next week.
03:24But for more information on that, you can subscribe to our YouTube channel.
03:27Bye bye.
