Following a snowstorm that blanketed much of the Northeast over the weekend, snow is still falling near the Great Lakes.

00:00Tis the season right for round of snow that can bring some problems. Let's recap and then we'll talk about what's going on now and what to expect for the rest of the week ahead. So looking at this state by state because lake effect snow was part of this. If I just showed you the top snow totals for the region as a whole, it would all be from the lake effect snow. Wanted to give you a broader picture here of what went on, but our bottom snow total from Connecticut 4.7 inches overall. Our top snow total Perrysburg, New York looking at 19 inches of snow overall.
00:29Obviously that one was lake effect snow Perrysburg in the Buffalo area and then Connecticut seeing a couple inches overall. So let's talk about what's happening now. Taking a look at radar and clouds zooming in here. We still have that snow moving through a lot of this lake effect, but more widespread snow into Pennsylvania moving into the mid Atlantic started as flurries, but seeing some accumulation in many areas as well. We'll continue with this as we head into the overnight hours, but then we'll see this really calm down and we get a break most of tomorrow.
00:59It's not a complete break though. Take a look at Watertown for example, snow lasting through 7 PM on your Tuesday, 4 to 8 inches overall. I know that's nothing for you when often we're counting the lake effect snow in feet rather than inches, but still something to be aware of at the very least have to clear off your car. If you park outside, take a look at future radar because even as we head into the overnight hours, it turns into lake effect snow showers, but we don't completely turn off the lake effect snow machine until later in the day. Then a small
01:29disturbance moves through the biggest impacts upstate New York, northern New England into Maine, especially watch Bangor as we head late into the morning. If you head out for lunch around 11, you're going to be dealing with the precipitation, whether it's a wintry mix, some rain or possibly even some freezing rain or slate, something to keep in mind. That's for sure. Now we're going to take a quick look ahead and then we'll backtrack a little bit because I just want to give you an idea of what is coming our way. As we head into the late week, we do have another system that moves
01:59snow. So you know what that means? It means we have a warm up ahead, but it's a slow one. 17 tonight in Albany, 15 in Buffalo, 12 in Pittsburgh. Yeah, we're still trending on the cooler side for tonight, but then taking a look at the next couple of days in Philadelphia, well, we're back in the 40s by the time we get to Wednesday, 50s by the time we get to Friday for our highs. A little bit of a roller coaster with our lows, but better than what we've been dealing with the last couple of days.
