00:00Sometimes lake effect snow is underrepresented by radar because the lake effect snow showers are only 3,000, 4,000, 5,000 feet tall and the radar beams may pass over some spots 6,000 feet plus up into the sky.
00:12Now we have some lake effect snow falling in Cleveland, parts of northwest PA now into western New York State.
00:17We've seen upwards of 18 inches of snow in parts of northern Michigan.
00:21So 12 to 18 inches in some areas, the lake effect snow bands have been pretty significant, monumental here for this early in the season.
00:27South Bend, you had over 8 inches before midnight and it's still continued to fall today.
00:32And some of the most impressive snow considering how far you are from the Great Lakes.
00:36I've been in southern Ohio and northern parts of Kentucky, 4.2 inches of snow in Lucasville, Ohio.
00:42There are times when we have to wait until early January to see our first 4 plus inch snow event here if we have an underperforming December.
00:48Not the case this time.
00:50First half of November, we're into it in a big way.
00:51And it's not yet lake effect here in eastern New York State, but it will become lake effect once the area of low pressure spins and moves off to the east.
00:59Again, we've seen some really significant snow reports.
01:02Over a foot of snow here in parts of Michigan and Indiana.
01:0518 inches in the northern part of Michigan.
01:08North Liberty, Indiana.
01:10Southeastern Chicago.
01:1114.8 inches.
01:12A lot of shoveling for some of you early in the season.
01:15And the biggest problem spots tonight into tomorrow morning will be I-90, I-86 from Erie, PA, all the way into areas like Olean, New York, home to St. Bonaventure University.

01:33The warm spot on the map is Boston.
01:35Meanwhile, we're down to 27 in Charleston, West Virginia.
01:3826 in Detroit.
01:39It's getting cold out there.
01:41And the cold flow across the Great Lakes continues to crank out the lake effect snow.
01:45So into Tuesday morning, some significant lake effect snow in the deepest blue zones here.
01:50And we're looking at a relatively hard hit.
