00:00One of the things that we can do to get the date and time data validation in Excel is go ahead and
00:12add in validation method to it. For example, if I were to type in 12 Jan 2019 right here,
00:18then you can see that this is a date and it simply accepts it out. But if I want to validate it with
00:24a certain date, then I can simply go around over here on to data right here. And then what you can
00:30do is go to data validation. So once you go ahead and do that over here in the validation criteria
00:36option right here, you can go ahead and select date. And then you can see that you can choose
00:40between or not between equal to and so forth right here. Let's say, for example, I'm going to select
00:46out, let's say in between right here. So I'm just going to select the stop date. Let's say, for
00:51example, I can go around over here and select the stop date right here by taking the cell value as a
00:57reference right here, just like this. Or I can even go ahead and type in a date. For example, I'm going
01:04to type in 1 and 13 right here. And 2018. Let's say, for example, I can add in the date right here,
01:11just like this as well. So I'm going to say 2025 right here. So I'm going to go ahead and press OK.
01:17And since this particular date is within that range, it accepts it. But as soon as I do 2017,
01:24let's say, for example, it says the value doesn't mask the data validation. But as soon as I enter
01:29out the date, let's say, for example, 2023, and I'm going to go ahead and say 16 right here,
01:35then what happens is that the date and time data validation actually takes place right here. And
01:41it simply goes ahead and displays out the date. Same goes with the time as well. Let's say, for
01:47example, if I were to say 1pm right here, this is what you have, you can go to data validation. And
01:53then you can go around for time validation as well. So now you can say data between let's say, for
01:58example, I can go ahead and say 1pm right here, just like this. And I'm going to say 4pm. Let's say,
02:06for example, right here, press OK. So now if I were to go ahead and add in this, it still accepts.
02:13But as soon as I were to go ahead and type in 12, it does not accept because it's not in between
02:191pm and 4pm. So if I were to go around over here into 2, then this is what you have. So if I were to
02:25go around over here onto 4 or 3, then it doesn't accept right there. So that is how you can work
02:30around with date and time data validation inside of Microsoft Excel. So I hope you found this video
