00:00So over here, you can see that I have this data right here. And this data has a total

00:11right here at the end. So let's just go ahead and add in a total. It's 643,000 right here.

00:18But let's say I want the total to be 710,000 right here. So it's using the sum form formula

00:25right here. So I don't know how much I need to add in right here to make it 7,100. So for that,

00:32what you can actually do is you use something called the goal seek. So which is a data validation

00:38tool. So for that, you need to go around over here onto the data tab. And then what you can do is you

00:44can go around over here on to what if analysis right here. And then what you can do is click on

00:51goal seek. So you can see that it says there's a set cell right here. So I'm just going to go ahead

00:56and select the total cell right here just like this. Set cell to what value is 710. Let's say for

01:06example, 710,000 right here value by changing the cell right here of this. So I'm just going to go

01:16around on to the June cell. And let's say by changing this cell, I want the total to be 710,000.

01:23Press enter and press OK right here. So it says the reference cell is not valid. So I'm just going

01:29to go around and select this right here, just like this. So it's going to be B8 right here. So let's

01:36just go ahead and then type in B8 right here. So I'm just going to go around and press OK. And then you

01:42can see that it is calculating right here. And it got the target value right here just like this.

01:48It changed it out. And then it got the value 67,000. So that is how you can go ahead and use

01:56goal seek to fill up the missing data right here in Microsoft Excel. So I hope you found this video
