00:00so if i were to actually go ahead and type in something right here let's say for example i'm
00:09going to go around and say simple tutorials then it would simply accept it right here no matter how
00:16the long the text is is a place where you can simply learn tutorials let's say for example
00:23right here and this is what you have it'll simply accept the length right here but if you want to
00:29go ahead and limit out the length then you can actually go ahead and select out the cell
00:33right here and then you can actually go around over here on to data and then go to data validation
00:40and then click right here so once you go ahead and do that you can see that right now the validation
00:45criteria is allow any value but you can go ahead and choose the text length let's say for example
00:51and then around over here you can see that you can change the data between so minimum let's say for
00:57example it gotta be 10 characters and maximum it is going to be let's say for example 15 right here
01:04but to demonstration for demonstration let's just add in three and seven right here just like this
01:09so if i were to go ahead and add an n right here it won't accept because it is less than uh three
01:16characters but if i were to go around and type in n it is three characters and meets the criteria
01:21so if i were to say party right here it's under uh let's say five characters but if i were to go
01:27around and type in commando it's more than seven characters so it won't accept right here so if i
01:33were to actually go around over here and type in one two three four five six seven it would accept but
01:38as soon as i add in one more character it won't accept right here and that is how you can go ahead
01:45and work around with the text length data validation inside of microsoft excel so i hope you found this
