00:00So over here you can see that I have a document and let's say what I want to do now is I want to
00:10protect out this document while saving it so that only people with password access will be able to
00:17read it or modify it. In that case I can go around over here onto file and then I can click on save
00:23and then I can browse right here. So this has not been saved yet so as I browse and go around over
00:29here onto the save section you can expand the tool section right here and then go to general option
00:35where you can enter out the password to open and password to modify. You can also recommend the
00:40users to select read only. I'm going to type one two three right here just like this for password
00:46to open and one two three four for password to modify and even enable create backup as well just
00:53to be secure that the data is not lost. I'm going to press ok right here and it says re-enter the
00:58password to proceed one two three to read one two three four to modify press ok and then if I were
01:04to press save the file will be saved right here. So now if I were to go ahead and open this out this
01:11does not open immediately I can type in one two three press enter click read only and then what
01:17happens is that if I were to make changes right here and try to save it it says we cannot save this
01:23particular file right here. So let's not not let's not save it and go around over here and type in one
01:30two three one two three four and it says the author would like you to open it up as read only but I'm
01:35going to say no and make changes accordingly go around over here and save it and now what happens
01:41is that the file is saved but you can see that a backup is created over here as well as we selected
01:48right here. So if I were to go around over here you can still see the old data so if I were to go
01:54around over here it says one two three four press ok right here and then you will be able to see the
02:00old data right here but around over here if I were to go I will be able to go ahead and see the new
02:06data right here. So that is how you can go ahead and predict out a workbook while saving in Microsoft
02:13Excel. So I hope you found this video useful. Be sure to hit the like button. Don't forget to share this
