00:00So over here, you can see that I got this table data right here. Let me just go ahead and add
00:10in border to make it more clear. So here, let's say for example, what I want is whenever I enter
00:16an employee ID, let's say I want the respective salary to pop up. In that case, I can simply go
00:22around over here. And let's say for example, let's add in border to these two cells. So what I want
00:29to do right here is let's say for example, press equals right here. And whatever data I have right
00:36here, this is where I want to compare the data from. So this is where I want to add in the VLOOKUP
00:41function to form what I just said. So I'm just going to go ahead right here. And let's say for
00:47example, type in VLOOKUP just like this, open up the bracket. And then I'm going to take the employee
00:54ID from here. So whatever the user types in over here, it should be displayed in this section. So
01:01now once I do that, I'm going to press comma. And once I do that, I can simply go ahead and select
01:06out the table reins from where I want the data. So once I do that, I can go ahead right here and type
01:14in the column from where the salary is. Let's say for example, if I were to go around over here,
01:20I can go around over here and type in four because that is where the salary is in the fourth column.
01:26So I'm just going to go around and press a comma right here. And I'm going to go ahead and have an
01:32approximate match. So I'm just going to type in true right here, just like this, press enter.
01:37Right now it's an A. So if I were to go around over here, type in 101, this is what I have. 102,
01:44then you can see that that is what I have. But if I were to type in 106, you can still see that it
01:50says 48,000 right here, just like this. That is because I chose an approximate data. So if I were
02:01to go around over here onto seven, it takes the closest data right here. Even if I were to press,
02:06let's say for example, 102.5, let's say for example, it'll still show it. But if you want an exact data
02:12instead of the approximate data, then simply go ahead and type in false instead of true right here,
02:19just like this. And once you do that, this is what you have. It does not show unless the data is
02:24accurate. So if I were to type in 101, then this is what you have. What 106, then nothing actually
02:31shows up. So that is how you can go ahead. And then that is simply how you can go ahead and
02:38then use the VLOOKUP inside of Microsoft Excel. So I hope you found this video useful. Be sure to
