00:00All right, so this is the interesting game, I think, of the night in terms of picking.
00:05Because, Bill, a lot of people think Dan Mullen's going to get this one done tonight.
00:09I don't know.
00:10There's a lot of momentum on the side of UNLV.
00:12Normally, in a game like this for the Mountain West Championship,
00:15Boise State rolls and then moves on and plays in a New Year's Day bowl game.
00:19But the season that UNLV has had certainly speaks to that possibility tonight.
00:24The line is only 5.5.
00:26Boise State was a better team than UNLV during the regular season.
00:28Total, 58.5, 8 p.m. Eastern in the Mountain West Championship.
00:35Not a position the Rebels are usually in.
00:38But Mullen, no stranger to big games.
00:40What happens tonight?
00:42Well, it's a lot of history they're going up against.
00:45And I noticed what you were just talking about, that this UNLV team has a lot of momentum in this game.
00:52A lot of people picking them.
00:54The spread has moved down.
00:55Dan Mullen obviously has a lot.
00:57The spotlight will be on him in this game, and especially with him passing on some of these coaching jobs this cycle.
01:04I just look at Boise State at home, and that's where they're just so tough to beat.
01:08How many times have we seen this?
01:09I can tell you.
01:10They're 5-1 at home this season.
01:12They're 4-1 at home when the Mountain West Conference is on the line in a conference championship situation.
01:19Dylan Riley had more than 200 yards.
01:21I didn't check the weather before I came on.
01:23I probably should have.
01:24I go back to last year's game when it was snowing, and the weather favored Boise State in that one.
01:29So despite all those reasons to take UNLV, I'm going to go with the Broncos to cover.
01:34I think they get it done.
01:35Win another Mountain West Conference championship, and that momentum just keeps going.
01:40Let's start off with the first game of the day on Saturday, and then we'll break with Bill and come back and do the SEC championship.
01:47We've got BYU taking on Texas Tech.
01:50BYU, one loss this season.
01:52It was to Texas Tech, and the game was not close.
01:55So the oddsmakers are telling us this is the matchup again.
01:58Why should it be close this time?
02:00Red Raiders defense is fantastic.
02:02So is BYU's.
02:03Total is 49-1.5 in the Big 12 championship game.
02:07Can BYU, Bill, keep this game close?
02:09They did not show that they could in the first time around.
02:13You know what caught my eye, Craig?
02:14It's going to be crowded.
02:16Sounds like sellout.
02:17A lot of BYU fans, a lot of Texas Tech fans, a lot of energy in that stadium, but it's all going to come down to one thing.
02:22Can BYU run the football in this game?
02:25You know, they only had 67 rushing yards the first time around.
02:28This Texas Tech defense is ridiculous.
02:30They're obviously very good against the spread, as in the literal spread, and the spread on the football field.
02:36BYU will try to tighten them up.
02:38But I'm looking at Jacob Rodriguez.
02:40There's a guy that will anchor that defense.
02:43I think Texas Tech gets this job done.
02:46Clinch is a first-round buy for the Big 12, which is huge.
02:50And, you know, but I'm going to take BYU against the spread.
02:54I think they hang around a little bit more in this one with a little bit of emotional bump with Kalani Satake turning down Penn State and staying there.
03:01It'll be a fun game, fun atmosphere, but give me the Red Raiders to win.
