09 November - National morning forecast presented by Honor Criswick
Transcript
00:00Hello there, good morning. It's a chilly start to the day for many of us. Some mist and fog
00:05in places, though this will clear fairly quickly through the course of the morning. And that's
00:09because we've got winds strengthening, particularly from the west, and with this cloud and outbreaks
00:14of rain, this could turn quite heavy, particularly across Wales and south-west England. And 11
00:19o'clock for Remembrance Sunday, there will be plenty of dry weather, plenty of sunshine
00:23across Northern Ireland and eastern, south-eastern areas of England. But soon being replaced
00:28by cloud and spells of rain as it continues to push its way erratically eastwards across
00:33the country. But staying mostly dry and bright across Northern Ireland, perhaps brightening
00:37up across western Scotland, though some blustery showers here. And dry and bright across many
00:41eastern and south-eastern areas of England, though that sunshine turning hazier. And temperature-wise,
00:47it's still fairly mild, highs reaching around 15 degrees Celsius, but a little fresher across
00:51many areas of the north. Still fairly unsettled through the course of the night, rain will
00:57clear its way north. But then we've got a secondary band of rain pushing up from the south. This
01:01could bring some quite heavy downpours, pushing into northern areas of England and Northern
01:05Ireland as we head through into Monday. Some milder air alongside with it, so many towns
01:10and cities across the southern half of the UK, around 10 to 11 degrees, but much fresher and
01:15chillier across Scotland and Northern Ireland, perhaps even some isolated frost patches in prone
01:21areas of Scotland. Now this band of heavy rain across Northern England will push into
01:26southern Scotland, pushing its way northwards across the country. Brightening up to the
01:30south of this, though once again some heavy showers returning across many southern counties.
01:36Very blustery here too, particularly around exposed southern coasts. But it won't be a total
01:40washout. There will be some dry spells at times, some brighter spells, perhaps even some sunshine
01:46poking through the cloud at times. And still fairly mild across the south, highs reaching
01:50around 14 to 15 Celsius here. But in Scotland, many northern areas, highs reaching 10 to 11
01:56degrees. So it is going to be a bit of a cooler feel for the beginning of the working week.
02:02And further into the week, low pressure still very much dominating. An area of low pressure
02:06pushing in from the southwest later on Tuesday, bringing more widespread areas of rain and also
02:11at times some blustery winds. Once again, particularly across the south where we could possibly see
02:16some gales. But of course, for more updates on that, don't forget you can always subscribe
02:20to our YouTube channel. Bye bye.
