00:00Hello there, good afternoon. It's set to be a changeable week ahead. Some sunny spells,
00:06but also plenty of showers and longer spells of rain. Why is this? Well, it's all thanks
00:10to low pressure, often sitting to the west or northwest of the country, driving this
00:14westerly flow, so often picking up systems from the Atlantic, dragging in some showers,
00:19some longer spells of rain, and notice towards the end of the week, plenty of isobars on
00:23the chart, so at times we could also see some blustery conditions. Low pressure often waiting
00:28in the wings, potentially bringing some unsettled weather towards the weekend.
00:32But before we get on to that, let's focus on this afternoon, where many of us will actually
00:37see plenty of sunny spells. Once again, mainly across eastern areas, we'll see a mix of cloud
00:41and also some brighter breaks. If we do see any showers, they're most likely across western
00:46areas, but cloudier across northern Ireland, Wales in southwest England, where we're likely
00:51to see quite persistent spells of rain linger through much of the day. This could turn quite
00:55heavy, possibly even seeing some hail and thunder mixed in there at times. But for most of us,
01:00it's going to be a dry, settled day, feeling pleasant in the sunshine, highs reaching 22
01:05degrees Celsius. Now, through the course of the evening, we do just need to keep an eye
01:10on this area of rain as it slowly shifts its way eastwards. Once again, we could see some heavy
01:14bursts mixed in here, hail and thunder still possible. But for all, we're going to see more
01:19and more cloud pushing from the west, possible showers by the time we reach the morning,
01:23so it's not going to be feeling quite as cool and fresh as we head towards Wednesday morning,
01:27a slightly milder night, lows reaching around 12 to 13 degrees Celsius across many towns
01:32and cities. And Wednesday itself is set to be a bit more of a cloudier day, still a risk
01:38of showers, even across eastern areas where we've seen more sunshine over the last couple
01:42of days. And then once again, more areas of persistent rain pushing in from the west,
01:46this turning heavy, once again, possibly thundery. And it is going to be quite a breezy day
01:51for all, particularly around exposed coastal areas, some moderate to fresh winds here,
01:55as well as some heavy outbreaks of rain towards the west. So it's not going to be the most
01:59pleasant of days, even though we're going to see fairly similar temperatures, highs reaching
02:03around 20 degrees Celsius, but that being offset by the cloud and outbreaks of rain.
02:09Into the evening, that theme will set to continue. This heavy band, once again, we need to keep
02:14an eye on as it pushes its way eastwards across the country, still fairly blustery with some
02:19quite heavy and potentially quite thundery outbreaks overnight as we head through into
02:23Thursday morning. And then it remains fairly changeable for the rest of the week, more rain,
02:28more showers, but hopefully some brighter and sunny spells in between.
