01 November - National Morning Forecast presented by Honor Criswick
Transcript
00:00Hello there, good morning. More showers over the weekend. This does mean there'll be some
00:05sunshine at times, but mixed in there plenty of spells of rain. Not much sunshine across
00:10Scotland to start the day though. Plenty of heavy downpours here. This could lead to some
00:15difficult driving conditions such as spray on the road, so do take care if you're travelling
00:19around. But any heavy downpours eventually clearing their way into the North Sea. So
00:23a brighter end to the day for many, but still with plenty of showers. And these could be
00:28heavy, perhaps bringing us some hail and thunder at times in the South. And it's set to be
00:32another blustery end to the day. Not feeling quite as warm as it did yesterday afternoon,
00:38but temperatures still reaching around 15 degrees Celsius across the South. More like 10 to
00:4211 degrees across many northern areas. So feeling a little bit chillier here in the brisk winds.
00:48Now through the course of the evening, for a time some showers will ease away, leaving
00:52some clearer skies. Soon being replaced though by more cloud drifting in from the west and
00:57further heavy downpours. Still with a risk once again of some hail and thunder and some
01:01quite blustery winds where we do see any of those heavy showers. So quite a mix overnight,
01:06a mix of showers and also some clearer skies. And it is going to be a little bit chillier
01:10compared to what we saw last night. Some towns and cities dropping to around 5, 6 degrees
01:16Celsius. So a bit of a chill in the air to start Sunday. Once again though, it's going to be
01:21another changeable day. Some sunny periods and also some showers. Quite heavy showers
01:25moving into parts of East Anglia, parts of Sussex and Kent through the morning. Clearing away
01:30and then it's many western areas that will be in the main firing line for the showers,
01:34particularly across north-western areas of Scotland. Later on into the afternoon we'll
01:38see more cloud feeding into the west. Also some spells of rain just about pushing into
01:42Northern Ireland. And it is going to feel that little bit chillier. Highs reaching around
01:4612 to 13 degrees Celsius, still around 10 to 11 degrees there across Scotland, Northern
01:51Ireland and northern parts of England. Turning a little bit mild air into next week, but still
01:56with some showers and some spells of rain. But for more updates on that, subscribe to our
02:01YouTube channel.
