07:21But at feedback, it was Alice and Demelza's facilities score.

07:34Now all together, Laura and Claudia want Alice and Demelza to expose their issues.

07:43So lack of privacy, especially in the bathroom.

07:47The bathroom, there was the blind.

07:49So I got very uncomfortable very quickly.

07:52Alice went outside.

07:53She could see in.

07:54The two windows that face in are frosted.

07:56So one of them is our property.

07:58And one of them is the B&B next door, which is their bathroom,

08:01which is a frosted window.

08:03I've got a frosted window and a blind on my property.

08:07It's the first time this issue has ever occurred.

08:09And we're very sorry that you felt so upset by this.

08:12I wasn't happy.

08:13I haven't finished speaking.

08:15So if you'd called us, we would have been able to maybe situate you in another room.

08:18I think I would have preferred a blind.

08:21Nobody can see.

08:22Nobody can see in that bathroom.

08:24And we've had hundreds of guests stay in that bathroom.

08:26And it's literally never been an issue.

08:28Laura and Claudia can now count their cash.

08:31Starting with Sue and Roger and their £331.99 stay.

08:42So that's the £7 underpayment.

08:45So I'm Roger?

08:47The underpayment was mainly because of the bath, the issue with the plug and it leaking.

08:51I'm sure you can all appreciate with houses.

08:54We get a lot of maintenance issues.

08:56The plug's already been replaced, obviously, since we've read that.

08:59So, yeah, we'll take that.

09:01We did underpay them only slightly and they took it really well.

09:05Next, it's Grace and Connor and their stay, which came to £294.99.

09:11£270, £274.

09:14That's £20.99 shortfall.

09:19So the reason for the underpayment is the cleanliness issues.

09:22Obviously, the cleanliness, if you'd have called me, I could have tried to resolve them for you.

09:26But, you know, fair point.

09:28And then the continental package itself.

09:30A lot of it is individually made. It's from individual suppliers.

09:34It really does push the price up and we don't buy in the quantities that you would buy.

09:38On reflection, it does feel harsh, but, yeah, that's how we're feeling at the time.

09:41Thank you for your payment. A disappointment, but we will accept your payment.

09:45On reflection, I actually think they're a bit embarrassed with the payment that I've done.

09:48I think they regret paying us what they did.

09:51It feels harsh a little bit, but if you're not happy with a product...

09:55You don't want to pay for it. You don't want to pay full price.

09:57Finally, it's Airless and Demelza and their £276 stay.

10:03£200 to £10 to £15 to £16.

10:08So that's an underpayment of £60.

10:13It did come down to the privacy issue in the bathroom and also a lack of intensives in the kitchen if you were required to make a meal for four.

10:21Without going over old ground, a phone call would have probably eradicated that.

10:26I'm actually struggling to talk to you all without getting upset because I expect it to be underpaid, but not potentially by that much.

10:35I still stand by the £60 underpayment. I've justified what I've paid and I'm very sad that we had to lower it to that payment, really.

10:42Am I annoyed? A thousand percent. Biggest crock of crap I've ever heard in my life.

10:47I feel like we've been penalised because they didn't call us.

10:51With Ted Stone log cabins knocking off £7, the White Lion Western holding back £20.99 and Cumya Holiday Cottages underpaying by £60,

11:02Foxlow Grange finishes with a final bill average of 90%.

11:08With half the payments in, Cumya Holiday Cottages and Ted Stone log cabins are yet to face the critics.

11:14Oh, we're definitely eating up now. Definitely a bit confrontational.

11:41When the guests checked out Cumya Holiday Cottages in Llanhloony, Carmarthenshire,

11:46it received a strong character reference.

11:50Cosy.

11:51This is nice. I like the sort of oldness of it as well.

11:55Oh, this looks nice.

11:57It's very rustic.

11:58Definitely lots of character.

12:00But on closer inspection, they all got a spooky surprise.

12:04Can you see it there?

12:06Looks like a well-established cobweb.

12:08Yeah, there's loads up there.

12:09I like the rustic beams, however, quite a lot of cobwebs.

12:12There's a lot of cobwebs around my head. I'm not quite sure how I feel about that.

12:15And some dust.

12:17Ooh, just a bit.

12:19And for some, the washrooms didn't wash.

12:21It's a bit rusty.

12:23Oh, mate.

12:25Not my favourite thing to have a bathroom downstairs.

12:29Then at feedback...

12:30How clean was Cumya Cottages?

12:32It wasn't a clean sweep.

12:34I think a six.

12:35I just feel like it needs a really good deep clean.

12:38It's going to have to be a five.

12:39I think I'd be happy with a six.

12:44I do feel some people here are playing a game.

12:47And they are playing twin.

12:49Now around the table, Erliss and Demelza are in a fix, about a six.

12:57And he said a lot of little things adding up.

13:00Yeah, it was just a lot.

13:02It was just little things, but it's those sort of little details that then all added up into being like, well, actually, overall.

13:07But, yeah.

13:08The wooden beams, so there's a decent amount of cobwebs through them.

13:11And then just on top of the paintings through the lounge area, there's like a layer of dust over the top.

13:15Just a quick feather dust over and then right as rain.

13:18Yeah, I would, yeah.

13:19The cleaning, it's an old building, but just for us personally, we just felt there were things that have been there a while.

13:28Like, where I was laid in my bed, the light fixtures behind there was full of, like, spiders and cobwebs.

13:33Yeah, so we also found cleanliness issues.

13:36Again, it's the cobwebs. They're the bane of everybody's life, aren't they?

13:39Mm-hm.

13:40Yes, I am disappointed with the cleanliness because I am, you know, I am a clean person and I do like things clean.

13:46But I will take everything on board and I will be looking into it to improve the business to the future.

13:51We've all had some sort of cleanliness issues.

13:55I think she's possibly needing a little bit more help.

13:59I'll take everything on board and see where we go from here, see what is required.

14:04But it's the money that matters, starting with Laura and Claudia and their cottage at £139.50.

14:17Yeah, despite the cleanliness issues we had, we feel like it was really good value for money.

14:22There was a lot of space. It was well equipped for what we would need to go and explore the local area.

14:30Next, it's Sue and Roger's cottage, costing £178.50.

14:39An £8.50 under payment, can you explain?

14:43It was the cleanliness issues and then the bathroom being downstairs.

14:48Even though we've got a washbasin and a toilet upstairs, hasn't it?

14:50Yes, we have a washbasin and a toilet. But it's the fact that an upstairs bathroom in these days, I think, is expected really.

14:58OK, fair enough.

15:00You know, if that's what they feel they had issues, fair enough.

15:04Finally, it's Grace and Connor and their £185.50 cottage.

15:09170, 175.50. And it's a £10 under payment.

15:16For us, I think it was cleanliness and facilities, obviously, with the shower handle breaking in our hand, it was a bit of a surprise.

15:21Yeah.

15:22And I think once everything's all sorted, you can make some money.

15:29Ellis and Demel's will talk our under payment pretty well. Our reasons were justified as to why we underpaid.

15:34But, yeah, they took it well.

15:36With Foxlow Grange paying the full amount, Ted Stone log cabins withholding £8.50,

15:45Kumya Holiday Cottages finishes with a final bill average of 97%.

15:52The last contenders vying for this week's title are married couple Sue and Roger Benbow.

15:57This is where our chickens come home to roost.

16:00When they welcomed their rivals to Ted Stone log cabins in Ted Stone, Delamere, Herefordshire...

16:06Oh, now this is adorable, isn't it? Oh, wow.

16:10..the guests didn't go against the grain.

16:13It's definitely giving me wood.

16:18I like it. I can see there's a lot of time and effort gone into this.

16:23Oh, this is cosy. It's very rustic. Yeah. With a hint of luxury.

16:28But after taking it in, Alice and Demelza wanted more.

16:32You've just got two rooms for £275. Can't bring any friends with you.

16:37No. No. It's lovely, but it's very steep in pricing, I would say. Yeah.

16:45For Laura and Claudia, it was a family affair.

16:48So, you're saying this is adults only, so if I came with my husband and two children,

16:51my husband couldn't stay in one lodge with a child and I couldn't stay in another?

16:55We try to keep it as adults only cos the idea is that it's peaceful.

16:59Come morning, at breakfast, Alice and Demelza didn't big the place up.

17:12So, at feedback, two couples refused to return.

17:44For us, if I was to go back there,

17:46I wouldn't go back there with my other half.

17:51cos my daughter would want to go horse riding,

17:53we would want to go see the horses.

17:55So, yeah, just... We both just felt that...

17:58That, for me, if I was to go there,

18:00I would really only go there with my family.

18:04cos that's what we found, innit? We go as a family.

18:07There was one thing I thought immediately,

18:09I'm coming back and I'm bringing my daughter.

18:13It was very bittersweet, I think, like, we loved it,

18:15but then it was like... It was a heavy heart.

18:17Yeah, it was, definitely. It was hard.

18:19Yeah, we look at it as a romantic week away,

18:22and for a couple, and that's what we were...

18:26Yeah, the special occasions for anniversaries, honeymoons.

18:29I think they wanted a family holiday,

18:33and they didn't take on board that actually our property is for couples.

18:37I don't think they should have judged it that way.

18:41you have to take what you see and what you feel,

18:43but also you have to look at the practicality.

18:45I think we maybe have been too honest in the way we've been.

21:04Obviously we're fourth place, which is a massive disappointment for us.

21:10And in third place is Ted Stone Log Cabins.

21:18A little bit disappointed we only came third,

21:20but it's just been such a fun week,

21:22and we've enjoyed it immensely.

21:24So the top spot is between the White Lion Western

21:27and Cumya Holiday Cottages.
