00:00This is Rakesh, killed by his own uncle, Devi Ram, who stuffed his body into a blue drum in an attempt to protect his minor daughter's dignity.
00:09You must have seen the movie Drishyam, where a father, to save his daughter, plans a murder and hides the truth with perfection.
00:17A similar case has come to light in Agra, but unlike in the film, the murderer here couldn't escape the law.
00:23On 18th February 2024, Rakesh, son of Lal Singh, suddenly went missing.
00:29His father reported the disappearance at Malpura police station, but no clue was found.
00:34Two days later, a half-burnt body in a blue plastic drum was discovered near the Khari River.
00:40At first, no one could identify it, only a DNA test later confirmed it was Rakesh.
00:46The killer was none other than Rakesh's own uncle, Devi Ram.
00:51Enraged after learning that Rakesh had secretly filmed his minor daughter's bathing and was blackmailing her,
00:56Devi Ram decided to end the menace once and for all.
00:59Along with nephew Nitya Kishore, he lured Rakesh to his sweet shop, strangled him with a muffler and iron wire,
01:06checked he was dead, then stuffed the body into a blue drum.
01:09They transported it by loader to the riverside and set it ablaze with petrol.
01:14The phone, wire and muffler were dumped in the river.
01:17Rakesh's motorcycle was abandoned on the highway.
01:19To divert suspicion, Devi Ram shut his shop and fled to Delhi.
01:23Initially, police were clueless.
01:26But technical surveillance, DNA evidence and an audio clip sent by Rakesh to the girl cracked the case wide open.
01:34After months of tracking, a joint team of Malpura police, SOG and surveillance cell arrested Devi Ram on 15 September 2025 near Jagdishpur Bridge.
01:44During interrogation, he confessed, his aide Nitya Kishore is still absconding.
01:50This case mirrors the suspense of Drishyam, a father avenging his daughter's honor.
01:55But unlike the movie's hero, Devi Ram couldn't cover his tracks.
02:00Today, he faces the law while police continue the hunt for his accomplice.
02:04Today, we'll see you next time.
