Fuel Up and Flee: Thar Driver Caught on CCTV Escaping Without Paying for Diesel in Mathura

A black Thar SUV carrying several young men allegedly fled a petrol pump in Uttar Pradesh's Mathura after getting its fuel tank filled with diesel without making any payment. The entire incident was captured on CCTV cameras installed at the fuel station, and the video has since gone viral on social media.

According to reports, the incident took place around 9:45 pm on Sunday at Dhangar Filling Station in the Jamunapar police station area. The Thar, which reportedly did not have a number plate, arrived at the petrol pump and asked an employee to fill the vehicle with diesel.

After the salesman filled the tank, he approached the vehicle to collect payment. However, as soon as the fuel cap was closed, the driver allegedly sped away from the petrol pump without paying.

The employee attempted to chase the vehicle, but the Thar quickly disappeared from the area within seconds.

The sudden incident left petrol pump staff shocked. The management immediately reviewed the CCTV footage, which clearly captured the sequence of events.

The petrol pump operator subsequently informed local police and lodged a complaint. Police have taken possession of the CCTV footage and launched an investigation into the matter.

Officials said they are also examining footage from CCTV cameras installed on nearby roads and intersections to identify the vehicle and the individuals involved.

Police stated that efforts are underway to trace the accused based on the available footage and that legal action will be taken once they are identified.

The incident has become a major talking point in the area, with the viral CCTV footage drawing widespread attention on social media.
