Fresh details have emerged in the deadly Thar-Scorpio collision near Asgarpur village in Haryana's Yamunanagar district that claimed the life of 25-year-old Hrithik, the only son of a former village sarpanch.

Police have identified the Thar driver as Rao Farukh, city president of the Bharatiya Kisan Union (Tikait), and registered a case against him. Farukh, along with his two nephews, also sustained serious injuries in the crash.

According to police, the head-on collision occurred around midnight on Kala Amb Road. The impact was so severe that the Scorpio overturned multiple times. Viral dashcam footage and videos recorded before the accident have intensified debate online, with users questioning factors such as speed, driver distraction and the use of high-beam headlights.

Hrithik later died during treatment, while several other occupants of both vehicles suffered serious injuries. Investigators are examining vehicle speed, visibility conditions and other evidence to determine the exact cause of the crash.
