00:00on project runway all-stars this is crazy y'all the original carousan is in the house
00:05oh gee nora oh my god coming back after 18 years is very surreal you are the ones that i wanted to
00:16see again this really is the most talented group of designers we've ever had it's going to be the
00:22most difficult competitive season yet it's showtime baby nobody up here has taken home the grand prize
00:29so this is your shot at redemption oh my god reinvent the look that got you eliminated
00:37oh jesus oh the trauma
00:46fashion designer christian siriano journalist elaine welteroff fashion designer brandon maxwell and
00:53editor-in-chief of el magazine nina garcia are looking for america's next great fashion
00:58designer at stake for the winner a quarter of a million dollars supplied by pilot friction erasable
01:04pens a feature in el magazine and a career-changing mentorship with the council of fashion designers
01:11america this is project runway all-stars
01:23well designers next to you are looks i'm sure you never wanted to see again yeah leaving you guys
01:29asking the question what would you have done differently if you had the chance your challenge
01:36reinvent the look they got you eliminated and turn it into a high fashion moment for the runways of
01:44today you don't have to use the same fabrics judges are going to want to see the spirit of the look in
01:51your reinventions i left their model cards over here with sketchbooks you'll have 30 minutes to sketch up
01:58here and designers there's a twist oh my god what what just say it okay i'll see you at mood bye
02:08i got the only other model i really wanted who has a buzz cut so you are in a world of trouble
02:25i'm sorry no that's all right in future though if you get a plus model you want to change i love that
02:29oh really yeah um but i also really want like an androgynous non-binary model yeah wow exactly what
02:37i wanted to to make a difference gonna go with the lace again oh god no that oh no honey we're taking
02:44this to a whole different direction that dress was a problem for me you know i had to go to therapy
02:50after that um i want to do some color blocking the same original idea that i had before but to have
02:58the opportunity to recreate the dress with real fabric it's a treat looking at this thing it's
03:05making me feel extremely uneasy and it's reminding me of the feeling and the worriness i had during the
03:13time and at that moment my biggest fear was my sister especially with it only being a month and
03:19some change since my sister passed so i am just trying to not get in my head about how this design is
03:27triggering me at the moment how are you feeling after me like a wedding um i'm a little anxious about
03:34it i haven't done a lot of sewing in a long time it's not muscle memory once you get to it that's
03:41really i like that
03:52everybody hi all right guys well we're here at mood the only thing that's been in all 20 seasons right
04:00besides nina you know all right so you have 600 and 45 minutes to shop you guys ready yeah all right go
04:08move it where's the basket you got your sneaks on you ready hurry up i know i know i where's the
04:18boning boning anyone it's kind of cool right doing 3d work on top of that gorgeous fabulous love it for
04:25the look that we're using as our redemption brandon absolutely hated i would have rather you just put it
04:30with a pair of jeans he would have used that dress as campfire material i think i'm going to make a
04:37dress that is t-linked has side cutouts shows off my model's curves really kind of shows the judges
04:44who i've evolved to how you already have zippers i'm not a zipper i'm picking zipper and somebody's
04:49cutting my fabric you're already at fabric it's been five minutes it's been five minutes that dress
04:54haunt me for an entire year you think i don't know when i need to fix it okay i swear i wasn't going to
04:58do great but a pink print yes i'm black i'm black i'm black i'm black oh i'm black oh so black
05:06the judges said they didn't see me in my design and i even lost my signature i'm keeping the
05:14original shape the powerful shoulder and also the hourglass body i want to find some beautiful floral
05:21print this one is five dollars a yard guys we have 15 minutes run run run run run run run what
05:28was there fabric like this kind of stuff okay two in the thought process with my black and white
05:36challenge was the judges just kept saying i was too much the front is so elegant and it's like jekyll and
05:42hi this challenge was about black and white and you only gave us half and i get kicked off so my
05:47inspiration to pull the spirit of my original black and white dress is a very full ruffled high-low skirt in
05:55white it's going to give me the structure and the volume to like really slay that runway how much
06:00was that gazar 40. oh 40 she told me 35. this is silk get out of this aisle okay and if you're going to go
06:09in this aisle you better be the best seamstress i've ever seen and i bet you you're not i think christian
06:14knows it's been a long time but this is what i'm here for i mean i'm here to challenge myself and
06:21reopen the book on what i used to do i'm planning to keep the spirit of my challenge alive taking it to
06:29a place a little bit more wearable for some other occasion taking off the jacket two minutes and you
06:36have to be in line bitch me all right thank you i love you one minute
06:41all right designers feeling good yeah all right guys so you're going to head to your work room
06:49now and then later tonight you will check in the fabulous hotel indigo in williamsburg
06:58i'm already exhausted goodbye
06:59let's go i'ma cut my fabric hi i need a tape measure i have it i have one hold on where's my
07:17oh my god nor has not changed in 18 years
07:21i will always be a goofball you know but i'm still gonna get my done this is the drapings what's
07:30gonna be it's every magic yeah i love that oh i hope oh wait hold on hold on i'm missing fabric what
07:39are you missing the hard mesh are you serious yeah you have it you have it yeah i had it it was the
07:45whole thing that's the whole thing that's the whole thing coming up i'm missing a key fabric so i don't
07:48know if it's out or what maybe next time i also lost my calculator okay this competition is getting
07:56serious i'm going to bed sucks for that
08:03i'm missing a fabric i have zero horsehair fabric that is the whole structure of my skirt and i am freaking
08:11out but you have it you have it you have it yeah i had it this was the whole thing thank you baby
08:17all right i will go look how long have you been draping for so i actually got really into draping
08:26because of you like on your season i was like oh really i never drape before until i came on the show
08:30that humbles me people are watching
08:34i know exactly what i'm doing with the pants so i'm gonna drape those okay it's so hard to be proud
08:43of something that you made and then you can actually look at it today and be like oh my god i was so far
08:50off some of her coats a full flop a grandma house coat she should have kleenex in her pocket it just
08:57hangs it's so sad it had no tailoring to it and i agree what's coming to me right now is a pontine
09:04knit dress along with slits at the side overlaid sleeves so they look like they're part of the
09:09design and then really really white pants when i saw my outfit come out literally i wanted to hide
09:19i don't want to say it's ugly but i learned my lesson so i'm just going to remake this look how
09:24it should have been with what i'm known for my leather jackets it would have the same opening in
09:30the back a little hoodie and the pants but everything will be built around the jacket
09:34so the jacket better be fly my design from the circus challenge from season seven brings back some
09:41memories that i don't really want to revisit i tried to dig deep but it was kind of costumey
09:49not really my style so this time around there needs to be also a little bit of an edge and so
09:56i'm gonna try to convey that this time i know this is a redemption but they want to see who we are and
10:01what we are about now and so i had something in my head do you know what i mean and it was literally
10:07like my mom and just this whole outfit mom was from cape may new jersey we lived at the beach she's
10:15always been my biggest inspiration everything that i am and that i've done and life has come from my mom
10:23from barbara barbara by the sea i know that this is really important to you if you want to change
10:31we can switch because i want it for you i'm serious
10:39i think you know how happy that do it no okay do it thank you season one og og the originals yeah
10:48guys we got 10 minutes no everyone's talking about our shot to redeem our worst our worst look
10:59the original challenge was creating a look that embraces elegance so i decided to finally put my
11:04pasties on the runway and to be honest this is now a look that is currently quite in style i am trying to
11:11make something new and weird and really make people stop and think this time i want to elevate a
11:17skirt to my modern aesthetic add drawstrings so that someone can ruch or un-ruch their skirt and
11:22have little bows at the end all right y'all time's up let's head to the hotel
11:35my house get comfortable after a long day of work it is so nice to finally be in this hotel
11:42now it starts to really feel real i'm missing like a key fabric you know how they take your bag
11:46sometimes they put stuff in it so i don't know if it fell out you know but i also lost my calculator
11:54holy cow it's getting serious bye guys it's been real i'm going to bed
12:01back let's go work time here we are look like ralph machio karate kid over here
12:14are you gonna be okay without that mesh i don't know until i drape those ruffles but i actually
12:19think it's gonna be better everything happens for a reason i don't know if my mama is up in heaven just
12:24being like no honey you don't need that horse hair fabric but i'm actually thinking this is going to be a
12:30positive because when i'm draping this gazaar it is so beautiful flowing on its own this is my barber
12:37by the c fabric oh that's the fabric you brought yeah this is what i brought and like with your hair
12:43you need to go buy that and make yourself something out of it this challenge is about
12:47reinvention of your original design hey guys two minutes before christian comes no donut
12:53oh like that literally gave me anxiety girl yeah i just i just had a panic attack hi designers hey
13:03guys it's our first walkthrough oh lord how's it going good can't wait for feedback all right
13:10i'm coming to see you all
13:11hi how are you how are you doing you look great how's life it's great you know what have you been
13:21making after the pandemic the brand kind of went into like a little more of a swim active wear and
13:28ready-to-wear direction which has been great i think that would be really cool to show the judges like a
13:32new aesthetic because i think you were trying to find yourself a little bit and what you wanted to do
13:37and what i thought that i should do i loved a lot of elements of that look yeah the coat felt couture
13:43i love the butterflies finding a way to marry the two it's going to be an advantage that i have
13:48i found this and i think it's absolutely beautiful beautiful and then did you buy anything sporty or
13:54like any spandex at all or anything like this is what i did the bandeau with well i just i don't
14:00know if this looks cheap underneath you have no elements of you and what you do why are you making
14:05like a duchess satin skirt dress what are you talking about no why isn't it sheer and flowy
14:11and gorgeous and she's in this amazing workout or bathing suit or thing underneath that's sexy
14:18and amazing because that was the difference you had something that was super covered up not sexy
14:22very oversized and this is a more beautiful sexy gorgeous showing off the body that's the new you
14:29that's what you do okay i'm coming to you hello how are you good how are you i'm sure you were just
14:40in shock that you're back here like i hope it's like riding a bike like i'm a costume designing for
14:46the past 20 years oh my god in la and so you have a team you know what i'm saying of course i haven't
14:52been sewing i imagine i was like can you sew anymore oh my gosh but now this is what you're
14:59going with right this is your fabric but what's it going to be what are you going to keep the thing
15:04that i'm not crazy about keeping is the pants i mean i will say right now big tunic things over
15:11pants is a moment so i don't think you should throw it away yeah think about it because maybe it's not a
15:16skinny taper pant maybe it's a super cool wide pant which could be super chic yeah this is so funny
15:23you guys you guys began it all i mean i'll take the credit did you go to the table together yeah you
15:29did yeah yeah when we saw each other it was just like have you that was from season one she has it
15:35and her teeth and i have the key to the apartment what yeah you kept this yeah i kept my check
15:42oh nora tell me everything what's happening so i have an underdress that's in the stretchier
15:49fabrics not bridal-y it's not white but you're taking the petal element right yeah my idea is you
15:55can wear it anywhere have you sewn any of the petal pieces yet i need to because this flower needs to
16:00be incredible so i think you should start cutting flowers hour four here we go great all right we did
16:07it thank you christian you know this redemption moment yeah i mean listen baby you didn't even
16:13got to say it to me all i remember from this challenge was michael cory saying like she looks
16:19like she has shark fins in her hips even curvy girls they don't want fins off their butt what i'm
16:25making now is something that my girl will wear to a party i'm thinking it'll be a jumpsuit still like
16:31the strapless look yeah with the texture like these are actually working pockets i think you should go the
16:36most extreme it can be the most maybe but that's why i went here and i ended up right way can be
16:42incredible hi i'm good how are you isn't it so nice to see each other it's bizarre hilarious they're
16:51bizarre during project runway season four i mean i lived with christian we went through that whole
16:56journey together we got to bond off of the stress of the competition you went full-on this color now i
17:03wanted to go opposite of where i was that color was too subdued yeah so i wanted to do a sexy
17:09backless dress that's draped off of the necklace love it i'm not going to take risks then i'm thinking
17:14why should i even be here we'll see how it goes i know i'm not expecting any niceties trust me i can't
17:20wait for my twist what what no twist oh my fun i can't wait for my twist what no stop it i'm gonna
17:35have a heart attack let me prop myself up no this season there is no immunity what are you seriously
17:42anybody can go home on any challenge wait are you serious though now oh the good news oh
17:51there are gonna be prizes and advantages for the winners of each challenge along the way yeah
17:56nice all right so the winner of this challenge is gonna get ten thousand dollars
18:02what oh my god that's a good twist so good luck i'll see you at model fitting thank you
18:12all right let's see what is going on please work oh my god last time i sewed a gown was for my 30th
18:22birthday so it's been a while look at you giving spirits you know i'm giving spirits
18:32and the soul and the holy ghost let me tell you that for my redemption look i want to get inspired
18:39by something that is tragic to me when i was in la i got attacked this guy on the street uh had a
18:45machete and he cut my boyfriend's hand and he cut my leg i couldn't walk for six months being not able
18:54to walk the only thing i could do is so slowly and sketch a lot and get a lot of ideas and so the leg
19:00harnesses came about in that sense where i was thinking how can i put that into fashion
19:07hi everybody hello hi christian are we feeling good yeah yeah sure yeah who wants a model
19:15i do let's get them in easy to get in so if you don't mind holding that up for one second you
19:26probably won't see the top of the pant but just in case we do i might go a skosh higher let me know
19:31if anything is like too tight or anything fish me is this the pant yeah cool thank you but what's the
19:37top it's going to be a pink like corseted hoodie like i showed you it's going to be yeah well the
19:42pants are fab i hope the jacket is as fabulous i'm realizing that i'm not inspired by this redemption
19:50dress at all it's literally triggering me making me feel uneasy at the moment did you make a paddle
19:59oh yeah they're here they're gonna be so awesome okay i'm gonna put this here so it's still gonna
20:08cover you i love this so much can you just come over here you love it so much yes because right now it
20:16looks like you picked the fabric and stuck it on i could work on it more and like like make it look
20:21more like i think you should try try to put your hand in your pocket project you love that pocket the
20:27pocket makes it young fresh and when she walks i do have a little problem oh what's the little
20:33fit problem in the back that her full booty is out extent but half her butt cheeks are out that looks
20:40like a little diaper in the back you gotta fix that i am going to fix it but i need to see what i need
20:45to fix though jeesh do you love how this does this i haven't pressed it yet once it's pressed once it's
20:51flat yeah it will sit flat they're really cool so it'll be cool to see them a little bit you know you
20:56see the shape the butt looks great you know i'm not gonna let this stump me it just means that it
21:02can be pushed further i flip the top around so what was once the back is now the front and the
21:09front is the back i am in love with this cover the whole thing like butterflies i think my family when
21:16they see this they're gonna just crazy all right designers that's it that's time say goodbye to your
21:23models goodbye goodbye all right designers tomorrow's your first runway
21:30woohoo yeah good luck thank you thank you thank you goodbye this ain't the jam guys
21:45i spent so much time trying to use the dress as inspiration that i fell into like a rabbit hole
21:52you know scents colors anything when you're grieving it triggers you right this this was too soon this
22:02challenge creative wise it's kind of like blocking tomorrow make two months and i'm like i ain't put in
22:09my mind that i would have to relive something i didn't know it was going to be a garden that
22:14dream that garment my fear when i was making it of her like gone away now me reliving it through a dress
22:23it's very triggering i'm not here to quit but i don't know coming up you chose a fabric that easily
22:33puckers it feels too in your face was it a successful design i don't think so we know who needs to go home
22:45i think my emotions from it being two months tomorrow sorry when we spoke you were doing this
22:54in honor of your sister you were doing this because she wanted you to do it is there a way to focus on
22:59then turning that into a positive for her yeah and i apologize because i ain't trying to you don't have
23:06to apologize for a thing i'm gonna make something work i know my sister is looking
23:14down and i need to utilize that and turn into strength the only way i can do that is by fueling
23:21myself uh with positive vibes and remembering that i'm here for my sister i'm just gonna keep doing
23:27what i have to do and create something that we both will be extremely proud about
23:37all right guys let's wrap it up let's go let's go
23:42guys y'all ready to get started for our first runway show yes show day is always one of those days
23:53where you're just like am i gonna finish this happy runway day i know happy runway day here we go
23:58it's time uh victor um your model ren hasn't showed up so we have an alternate for you
24:09no no she's fantastic she's very similar in size same hip same weight i need i need a
24:15air she's fantastic trust me uh what hair it's changing my whole thing huh long yes ren didn't
24:23show up so this is our my heart rate why we haven't been able to get in touch with her
24:29ren didn't show up and i fitted this dress and the leg harness specifically for her body so
24:35i'm panicking i hope that adrenaline is kicking in i'm in better spirits this morning i realized that
24:41i have to guide myself and be okay with feeling my feelings and continuing on there's no way for
24:47me to change my look so i'm just trying to bang this thing out hi everybody hi christian hi christian
24:58runway how fabulous hi are you with me hi i'm victor nice to meet you now i have jessica and she's
25:11definitely taller than ren how are you feeling nervous yeah i'm loving her look but i'm just
25:17worried that it's not gonna fit i have to make another adjustment see i know you like a lot of
25:24jewelry but i don't know she needs all of the jewelry there's a lot happening okay you gotta take one
25:30thing off please how's that feel the dress is really pretty though thank you you have a new model yeah
25:39she's stunning the only thing is my other model was shorter so now i'm worried like the shorts are
25:45short could you add a quick band on the bottom like a leather band i'm gonna do elastic here yeah
25:51something i mean i love it but that's all so much booty all right designers take your models to the
26:01makeup studio and the tresme hair salon i can't wait to see these looks uh hi messing me too this eye
26:10you want to be very dramatic so obviously i want like a full set curls you know the nines models have
26:17to be dressed in literally 12 minutes i'm gonna have to shorten it really quick i forgot my tools
26:21oh hester what is happening oh i know the back looks like but i'm gonna unintentionally rip the
26:29front i think i love that these became sexy garters this is as this is gonna get in the middle of a
26:35mental crisis hold this come come over here yep i'm gonna stitch that actually i'm gonna go ahead
26:40and cut this because it just doesn't need to be this long what happens with this hem um i did my best
26:46designers time is up your first runway let's go let's go oh my god it's sort of like rush hour
26:58before the runway some people are on their knees hand sewing and talking i need hair please all right
27:04designers less than five minutes is all that gonna fall off stay right there you are cutting yes one
27:11minute now it's time to just showcase and i'm just like freaking the hell out threads cut them don't
27:17move or i might stab you all right welcome back designers it is so good to see so many familiar faces
27:33and some new ones to me and we cannot wait to get to know all of you guys and see what you're up to
27:39today yes i know that we have the best of the best and so i'm ready to see the best of the best
27:46all right you all please welcome actress activist totally fabulous alicia silverstone
27:55wow redemption looks here we go yes beautiful good job everybody amazing
28:10seeing my look walking down the runway this is exactly what i want i kept the original shape
28:17the power from the shoulder but i added drama into the look the sparkles from the petals the edginess
28:27to really show to the judges who i am as a person and a designer
28:32i love the dress i love the way the dress is looking right now on the runway i've already
28:45redeemed myself from that horrible look creating it the right way with the right materials is a great
28:50feeling i would like to sign my petition to burn the old dress and replace it with this one
28:56one okay since i've been on project one with six years ago my dna is still the same beautiful she has
29:06this little tomboyish look so that was perfect everything came out exactly how i wanted to come out
29:13i'm happy with what i've done and i've done my job
29:15i'm proud of what i've accomplished draping is not an easy process and handling a fabric that's this
29:28delicate requires experience and passion i love the way the silk is just kind of like dancing around
29:34her body i hope that the judges understand and can see the timeless quality of this design
29:41redemption it has been 10 years since i've sent a look down a project runway runway and my look just
29:54walked in let me tell you i could not be more proud i have absolutely created a new fresh modern look
30:01inspired by the spirit of my dress that i was eliminated from so i think i understood this assignment
30:11i feel like i overcame a hurdle of fitting something like this especially after it's been such a long
30:18time maybe it wasn't the most perfectly constructed garments but with her makeup and hair and everything
30:27i think she just looks beautiful
30:32oh hey i feel like i'm having an out-of-body experience to be honest with you
30:37seeing the look come down the runway i feel super proud i started with something grab ill-fitting
30:47and now i'm presenting an original idea made really well but it also has details that compares to no one
30:54else's yes didi yes i really feel like the look going down the runway this time shows a much more
31:04more mature cuts of momoloo it shows a designer that has a point of view that's very clear
31:13and i really want to just slow mo it so i can just see it glide and get all the the goodies
31:21it just goes really quickly and i'm like oh my god i hope that they saw me because i see myself
31:26that's a good thing but i don't know okay my look is definitely way different than everybody else but
31:34that's a good thing the model change was stressful but i don't think anybody's gonna know because my
31:40model looks fantastic so beautiful and so powerful
31:44this was a definite roller coaster to get this garment completed but i feel like uh successfully
31:56captured the essence of the challenge i'm just thankful that i'm able to create here and use the
32:03hurt and pain as inspiration to showcase to the world the type of designer that i am and how you get over
32:10hard times oh okay i feel like i've created a look that for me is inspired by the spirit of my first
32:22design it's not like a direct interpretation so i don't know if the judges will see it but i'm happy with
32:31my work my model has her bangs she has her bouffant she has the red lip the black liner i'm not gonna
32:46lie i think i strayed from the challenge but my whole purpose of being here was to pay homage to my
32:52mother and i think my mom would have loved it
32:54i'm definitely proud hard to say if i redeemed myself or not because again i don't think that
33:02i had anything to redeem myself from but i think i did a good solid evolution of the look that i had
33:08before and i think i really showed how i've grown hello butterfly i am living as mario walks down the
33:18runway it is feminine it's got movement and i figured out how to incorporate that active wear
33:26the pink the butterflies the shoulders the draping it's me come on first
33:34well i know we can't wait to hear all about these looks so will you all step up to the runway
33:39all right designers we have scored your designs and now we would like to speak with victor nora
33:54bishmi kane fabio and carason if i did not call your name you are in the rest of you can leave the runway
34:09so the six of you had the highest and lowest scores today one of you will be the winner and one of you
34:20will be out
34:32all right let's start off positive shall we let's bring out one of our favorite looks of the night
34:39so congratulations bishmi okay tell us about your look was trying to make something that was
34:46inspired by a girl that's on the run that's doing what you have to do and elevated version of the hoodie
34:51dress try to put myself in a happy place because the picture that i was inspired by triggered something
34:57for me that i didn't expect for it to do so it was very difficult for me to continue on and make it so
35:03it's literally been two months and probably like a day since my sister passed away well you did a
35:08beautiful job and you can consider this a tribute to her thank you this is what today's challenge
35:15is all about turning a negative into a positive this is a happy cheerful joyful look it's a true
35:22elevation of whatever this initial vision was that you had the first look was just not at all
35:27you and this was nice to see something so assured from you all of the details are such signatures of
35:33yours and i can see that over the time since we've seen you that you've really refined those it feels
35:40very modern and really just joyful and the color is so fantastic the ruffles are so playful and it's
35:47really fun all right let's bring out another one of our favorite looks of the night
35:53kane how does it feel to be in the top three i'm appreciative and humbled so thank you well i want
36:04to wear that dress we can make that happen it's just really elegant and sexy and chic so i wasn't clueless
36:13on this challenge okay i remember the challenge for you was incorporating that bit of white and now
36:24the pièce de resistance is the white yeah well i'll just jump right in here and say that i love that you
36:32gave us some drama honey i just loved the feminine kind of softness of the bottom half and how kind of
36:40cool and edgy the top is thank you kane it's nice to meet you switching gears the next look received
36:48one of our lowest scores unfortunately and going into this my challenge was difficult for me because
36:57it was a wedding dress challenge the first time i am not a wedding dress designer but this time i wanted
37:04to create something kind of structural you chose a fabric that easily puckers if not seemed perfectly
37:11and you chose a color that really highlights any sort of imperfection i didn't want to go white
37:18yeah like last time i wanted to do kind of like a different color i remember the wedding dress yes i
37:25understand the problem you're having i see the choice of fabric i see that that's not something that you do
37:32all the time all the time right i wish i would have seen a little more bold from you yeah actually
37:40i wasn't as crazy about it when you first came down but now that i've been staring at it
37:45i think it's kind of pretty i appreciate that thank you thank you nora emily you can leave the runway
37:52okay let's bring out one of the bottom scores of the night
37:55unfortunately victor you had one of our least favorite designs of the night do you want to tell
38:04us about it the challenge at that time it was a team challenge so i took the opportunity to change
38:11it into something that i do now i'll be honest it wasn't immediately clear what the connection was okay
38:15creative indeed but fashion is subjective and for me this didn't translate i think this lattice work
38:26on the shoulders is very creative is it costumy it is but there's something very creative of taking
38:33this concept of the stilt and narrowing it down to this but i also would have loved to see a pairing
38:41back of something to really let that one idea or whatever idea it was of your choosing really
38:48really sing right thank you victor jessica you can leave the runway the next design received one of
38:55the lowest scores here comes the model jesus be on my side
39:00all right karisan tell us about your look the challenge was a emmy gown for nancy odell
39:14i changed it in many ways i still kept the asymmetrical it's inspired by my mother barbara saunders and i
39:21call this kind of barber by the sea i do remember the nancy hotel challenge yes there is a fine line
39:29when you're working with costumes and translating that into real life it just needed to be a little
39:37more subdued it feels too in your face it just needed editing this feels a bit formal and stiff
39:46and dare i say a little dated right thank you karisan thank you you can leave the runway
39:52the next look got one of our highest scores of the night
40:01tell us about your look it was a challenge about outerwear so i feel like i wanted to create
40:07something that was mid-seasonal so hence the arms are out but she has um sleeves on and i kept this idea
40:14in my mind of flipping it around flipping it around so that's what i did all of the textiles except this
40:19one because it's you know it's double face they're all the wrong sides it's very chic and i really
40:24like the back was very modern and creative yeah congratulations thank you fabio fabio fabio i mean
40:33this is the improvement off the chart so chic my favorite look of the day i would buy it right off your
40:40body i'll give it to you thank you fabio i love it thanks designers please exit stage left we'll call you
40:47back soon thank you you know what it's going to be very difficult to send one of these designers
40:59home why don't we just talk about who we think should win kane for sure for me was glamorous and
41:08runway exciting this was such a lovely introduction to him and his work yeah if i go back and remember
41:16what he did it was always very gilded and very overly designed to see the restraint that he had
41:24in designing this that's all he needed i think we have to give credit to bishmi though he took a look
41:32that really did not do well at all and completely reinvented it while staying true to the elements
41:38of that design there was glamour but at the same time practicality yes but also fabio
41:45really great i loved fabio i really i admire the elegance and maturity of it it's really
41:54sophisticated well should we talk about who's going home not easy but let's do it what did you guys
42:01think about karisan you're talking about the mermaid that stressed me out to no end the cut of that slit
42:11was not right i could see everything under the dress i have to say i was surprised that that was
42:16from karisan i think had she taken out all that beating shortened the gown and kept the train long
42:26it would have been spectacular yeah should we move to nora well when she walked out the runway the first
42:32time i went oh and then when it was in front of me and i was looking at it for a long time i went oh it's
42:38kind of pretty she brings such a different perspective but it was just executed so poorly
42:44i think it was the right idea that needed more time and it just needed an expert hand sewing is a
42:49core part of this competition 100 this is a sink or swim environment and unfortunately i don't think
42:55she has the fins to stay afloat i think that victor really has a lane i think he was just trying
43:02to show us tonight how many lanes he can go down and we got the message loud and clear i have to say
43:08the longer i looked at it up close the more i appreciated his skill level when i first saw it go
43:14down the runway i didn't like it did you connect the stilts to the didn't sorry guys that was over my
43:19head it never gets easier doing this but i guess we know who needs to go home
43:36fabio bishmi and kane the three of you redeemed yourselves tonight but unfortunately only one of
43:46you can win the ten thousand dollars that's on the table today the winner of this challenge successfully
43:53changed history their look was modern dramatic and a successful reinvention the winner is
44:04kane
44:14you get the whole booty baby see good old southern boy from nashville can do some fashion stuff
44:21congratulations kane ten thousand dollars
44:24i mean hey i think i absolutely got the redemption that i needed call me
44:35fishby and fabio you are also in thank you you can all leave the runway thank you well done guys
44:42i just won this challenge i want to win multiple challenges here
44:45i want to win multiple challenges i want to win multiple challenges i want to win multiple challenges
44:51kerasan victor and nora unfortunately none of you were able to redeem your original look
45:01and one of you will be out
45:03kerasan victor you're in thank you thank you so much
45:16thank you you can leave the runway kerasan and nora
45:22kerasan we love that you honored your mother
45:26kerasan but your look needed editing nora we really appreciate the unique point of view that
45:36you bring to this competition but unfortunately your execution fell short nora

45:49no problem i'm so sorry i really would have loved to see more of your point of view and i wish you

46:37all going to just kill it and i can't wait to see what you do i've been inspired by other people
46:45it was bittersweet and i just really wish the best for everybody we're going to miss you thank
46:50you for joining us again i'll see you in another 18 years yeah
46:56i won't be here but that was good season four like why not i'm gonna send you the work room clean
47:03up your space say your goodbyes i would have loved to spend a little more time with the designers
47:14but if you have a question in your mind of whether to do something i took the risks to do it and i think
47:23my legacy is just go and try it you'll never know if you didn't try
47:31next on project runway all-stars
