00:00we're trucking in with a 52 from GMC a pickup that could be classic if it wasn't so classically
00:12stock now that's a nice way of saying that this truck needs work big time which is why we're
00:16giving it a complete rebuild here at that mecca of interiors known as stitchcraft and you know
00:21how it goes the owner gets tricked and the car gets tricked out where else only here on overhauling
00:30hey I'm Courtney I'm Chris and the man in store for the week of his life is John that's right he's the
00:58owner of a 52 GMC truck that lately has had John's crafty family doing a lot of whispering and John's
01:03brother-in-law Brian is our key insider a dude who's deep into the deception that we so proudly serve
01:08up here at overhauling team captain chip foos is here to draw build and mostly lead the way
01:15player-wise we've got the right lineup now all we need is the truck so let's make like outlaws
01:22and seize those wheels here's the ride John's 1952 GMC pickup truck and here's our mark John he's on his
01:33way going about his business in the family driver completely unaware that his world is about to get
01:37turned upside down soon the rest of the family drives off leaving us a pickup that's ready to be
01:43picked up so Chris and our towing team sneak through the security gate thanks to the key
01:51the family gave us and the truck is quickly loaded onto the flatbed and for the best part of the trick
02:02a note to be left from the local charity thanking the family for their generous donation of course no
02:08one really donated nothing to nobody with the closing of the gates it's another clean getaway
02:15for team overhaul team looks nervous over there as they await the truck it's a great crew with Nick
02:24and Pat Nance players from brothers truck parts stitch craft alpha sonic D&P classics guarantee Chevrolet
02:31and the gang at caliber collision there she blows man looks pretty good right now not a lot of rust
02:36pretty straight but you know foos is gonna make it even better this truck looks like it needs a giant
02:45seven-day hug immediately our illustrious a team invades and inspects their newest challenge chip's
02:55job is gonna be a little easier because the door handles are already gone and somebody beat me to
02:59the punch on my job because the rear window has already been broken bumper Baron Shane Boulay is already
03:05checking out his end of this bargain if he's six feet tall you'd say buckets or no buckets and we know
03:12that you guys want to do it all crafty a little stitch a little crafty and just to name a few of the
03:20motorheads who'll be working under this hood Jeff binder Carl Lutz and Jerry Bermudez I'll be tattooed for
03:26life so what's under the plywood a whole lot of work for a team that's just itching to get their
03:32hands on this build no mufflers on this baby which explains the noise magna flow is gonna have a
03:37feel day as foos always does and as he likes to say he's gonna get rid of the ugly on this truck so
03:43we'll still retain the original flavor of the design but foos will put his fingerprints on it's gonna be
03:49beautiful the make of this truck has a lot of history it was only five years before this ride
03:56when GMC reworked the look of their wartime trucks and bigger changes were in store under the hood yeah
04:02because only two years before John's truck was born GMC increased the muscle in their trucks by serving
04:07up a horsepower of 96 and in 1952 GMC delivered John's truck and if any old ride deserves a new lease
04:15on life it's got to be this classic pickup right here something about a truck everyone gets a
04:22little cocky right off the bat maybe it's that missing half of the interior that makes everybody
04:27think that this is gonna be some kind of cakewalk cakewalk not around here at overhauling the last
04:33pickup we did got its wheel alignment as the mark was walking in for the reveal that's because some
04:37of these parts are gonna get chucked while some are just too valuable to lose putting those pieces
04:42into a place where they're gonna get revived recycled and just plain reworked that's a nice piece right
04:53there that's 1952 that style man back when American car manufacturers had style dude well there's no
05:00doubt that this truck is a style all its own in fact when it comes to its suspension Shane discovered
05:06that this pickup is flat-out unique I don't know what what he was doing for suspension but he really
05:12doesn't have any because the leaf spring is busted clean off the hanger so this is no bueno this
05:20deconstruction phase is a little different than most still that doesn't mean we're in for smooth sailing
05:25not with a truck that's racked up this many years right now one of the goals is getting the cab off the
05:31chassis but first a lot of stuff has to come out and into our shop okay after enough head spinning the cab
05:41is finally separate here's the deal with surfaces this big there's only one thing to say let the bodywork
05:52begin removing the Bondo hammering out dents and looking for holes to fill three big tasks and
06:05we're only getting started and check out the level of concentration from this guy basically what I'm
06:10doing is I'm gonna cut these gills out right here because design wise they're pretty ugly and there's
06:15no matching gills on the other side so scratch what are you doing reshaping the fenders here yeah
06:21there's a couple of dents from the previous owners this is definitely the biggest grinder I've ever used
06:27soon the troops gather to see what the captain has up his sleeve I'll just be really different
06:35looking for a truck yeah I've never seen it yeah people shake things what is that I say we got a lot
06:43of work to do a lot of work tonight a lot of metal work Chip's got some crazy ideas here with the
06:52brand new truckloaded parts oh nice nice is the word as JC Gentty arrives with a little brotherly love
07:01and a bonus something for the ride on long cold nights brand new car cover so when it's all done
07:07be able to cover up keep it nice the guys from brothers brought us all this stuff and there's
07:13still more coming into the mock truck we had the parts from D&P classic Chevrolet now we can start
07:21cutting and pasting and see if they're gonna work actually I'm looking at this shape here and thinking
07:28that if we cut this part of the fender off and splice it onto here we'd have a much better
07:33looking headlight that's what it's all about well it's also all about a lot of work as Chip takes
07:39this build and keeps finding ways to make it more and more time consuming I'm excited might be a lot
07:45of work but it's gonna be cool when it's done pro builder scratch cuts out the fixture so Chip can
07:51try it on for size it's one of those projects that's classic foos seeing something cool thanks
07:56to the union of two separate designs coming together I like it better in the stock bars
08:01is he changing the grill too end of day one we had the truck fully apart we got the frame strip we put
08:09the body back on now we're doing some body mods getting a few ideas where we're gonna go keep
08:14trucking and chip keeps truck late into the night working on the rest of the notions he has for
08:20this totally stylized front end 3 15 in the morning pretty starting day two
08:28that's it TV coming up it's a prank where Chris just might lose it first of all I want to thank
08:42you very much for your generous donation on day one of the overhauling build we snake John's ride and
08:58tore it down to the basics now the trick is to keep the mark in the dark while this rebuild of his
09:03GMC just keeps on trucking all right John stay to we have your truck and you don't like it so you
09:12called and left a pissed off message so I'm gonna have to call you back hi John my name is Melvin
09:18Everett and I'm with the United Crossroads Coalition for friends in need okay I'm just returning your call
09:25first of all I want to thank you very much for your generous donation can you answer a couple
09:29questions for me absolutely I can yes first off nobody in my family was home so I don't know who
09:38let you in I don't know how you got in but somehow you guys took my truck on the line of burglary oh
09:45yes well no I mean typically we don't consider donations burglary and again I just want to
09:52express my gratitude I have my pink slip and I have my keys I don't know I know yeah that's actually
09:57what we want to clear up to we want to make arrangements so we could get the pink slip from
10:01you and the keys because we'll need that in order to process the donation well I want the whole truck back
10:09and I could talk to my lawyers now I could at the same time I'm gonna be talking to the police
10:13absolutely we work very closely with the Los Angeles Police Department because we are a
10:18charitable organization and again I I can't express my gratitude enough for your generosity
10:24yeah all right thank you mr. Park
10:30sorry John it's gonna be worth it though bro I promise okay chip take it away you ready to draw
10:44we're ready to watch we'd like to draw along with foos but how are we gonna keep up with this guy
10:50and of course he's not just drawing he's building the ride as he sketches along focusing now on the body
10:58mods modifications that I'm most excited about on this truck are the just the reproportion of all
11:04the body panels if only the real truck could come together as easily as what we're seeing here we're
11:10early in the build but if this is what we're shooting for I can already see that it's gonna
11:14be worth the sleepless nights ahead it's the essence of chip sketch we're not just excited over a great
11:19drawing we're dying to have the finished truck in front of us right now
11:28and those final details are like the last parts to go on the build the time when we know we're
11:35moments away from taking it all in all right John here's your truck hope you like it so as parts go to
11:44media blasting chip Revo and Andreas look at fabric combos by way of Keaston Brothers like the outside
11:51the inside also needs its own sketch work he wants like a butternut but I like butter scorch so I was
12:00kind of looking at a color like this which might go with that piping real well and that spice but when
12:05I go and we'll mix the color at BASF I'll probably lighten this up a little bit which will still go with
12:11that real well you like I like very much chip calls one of our insiders John's sister Jennifer is gonna
12:21give us some dirt on our mark talking on the phone because she just had a new baby boy so he doesn't
12:26like things restored back to original not really when he was starting to fix the car we're thinking
12:33about fixing it I said you know why not do it like that nice cherry red and he's like no that everyone
12:38has old cars like that and I agree so he wants something a little bit more unique I guess yeah he had
12:44written down this uh very light yellow with ghost yeah and he put uh like this like a color of a stick of
12:52butter right yeah typically that light yellow is kind of called a butternut yellow uh-huh and I wanted to
12:58warm it up and call it butter scorch I think it's gonna be a lot of fun I can't wait to see what what he thinks of it
13:05be so Florida good all the body panels and the cab and the frame are back from media blast and now
13:12it's time to reassemble John's GMC income the parts and first up is chips marking of the bodywork telling
13:19the team what has to get done before tonight it's all about the metal work after they blasted it we found
13:27out a bunch of imperfections like dents and this little beauty mark right here JC and Ben start putting
13:35in a new steel firewall as everyone works off chips marks on the truck back in the day the factories
13:43used lead that's not on seams because they didn't have bondo we had to burn it out cut this piece out
13:48and re-weld it and uh you can't weld on top of lead all right we've rolled into day three as soon as
13:56they get the firewall done we can mount the cab back on the frame we'll get the front fenders mounted back
14:00up start finishing up the grill we can get the bed fit and then we're gonna have to shorten the
14:05running boards get the rear end in and finalize a couple details and get this thing ready to go to the paint shop
14:20all right here's John's worn out trash 350 motor wasn't even running when we got his truck and here is the
14:29high torque 383 motor that just arrived from GM performance and guarantee Chevrolet this thing
14:34will put out 350 horsepower and 450 pounds of torque so Jerry I understand that the motor is going to go
14:42on this lift here and we're gonna be able to run it without the transmission and without the truck
14:47exactly right this motor is going in this test stand the essential parts are connected then a drill
14:52motor pumps oil through the entire engine compartment so nothing gets damaged once oil comes up the
14:57hydraulic lifters we know the lube has reached every spot we can now put the valve covers on install
15:03the distributor plugs wires and fire this bad boy up just press the ignition switch and away we go
15:08yeah look at that it's a runner sounds like a good engine sounds good yes it does I think John will be pleased I think he will
15:21I'm so stressed out right now there's so much that needs to be done in like the next two hours or we're gonna fall really far behind
15:36fear not young scratch tis bondo onto the stage all right this is Bob from caliber collision centers he's gonna be our main body dude and who knows if Bob has ever seen this body work and bondo work done at the same time
15:50I want to get the hood sitting back on it line the hood up with the fenders and we'll probably drill
15:57a couple holes and just bolt that solid make sure all that lines up and then we can start on the grill and
16:01the core support with all the work that's left chip overseas and gets hands-on regardless of how late
16:08we're trying to get all the metal work done so that this thing is going to paint tomorrow
16:14coming up panic sets in we are behind
16:20on days two and three of over all in the pickup was in pieces but we made progress a whole lot of
16:36body work and metal work happening at the same time and intensity filled the air now we just hope
16:41we can make chips wish our command and get this thing to paint
16:52insiders Donna and Brian stop in to give us the skinny on John finding themselves amazed as they get a
16:57load of his truck brand new bed Wow chip gives them a tour and explains the mods that were made
17:04you think they'll like what we're doing oh he's gonna love it good that's amazing
17:18yeah I want to drive it
17:19that works our old pal Brian Fuller stopped by just to check out the progress but yeah I came in to see
17:31how the truck was going and it's kind of like the military you get called into service sometimes
17:36yeah we're gonna give you the haircut too well we've got enough work for an extra day
17:46this is a lot of the last little bit of stuff so it can go to paint at least this part can go to paint
17:55I don't know about the front part up near that front part chip tackles the wheel wells for tire
18:02clearance I feel real good about where the truck is it would have been nice to have it at the paint
18:09shop already but the good thing is there's no graphics so we can blow the body apart get the
18:14chassis to the powder toter bring that back start assembling that while the body gets painted and
18:18start bringing it back in pieces all right this is what's happening a friend of the show called
18:24John the other day posing as a detective saying that he would be getting a call from his partner
18:28detective Cassavetes which will be me so let's give John a call and see how he's doing shall we
18:35John yes hi detective Cassavetes apparently you donated a vehicle and and there was a problem with that
18:45no I never donated a vehicle it was taken from my residence and I guess they left like some type
18:53of a card saying that it was donated but no one in my family donated it and I sure didn't have you
19:01heard back from these guys at all I called their voicemail today and they said they're supposed to be
19:08back on Friday and you know it's like some type of organization that's really legit you know they're
19:13probably gone for the weekend or whatnot but my whole thing is I don't I don't even think they're
19:18you know legit at all well that's that's kind of what it's looking like to me as well let's do this
19:24I'll call you on Sunday let you know where and when we can meet on Sunday evening okay all right it's day
19:37five and there's definitely a fear in the air right now that this truck is not going to be done on time we are behind
19:43the team has exactly one hour to do whatever needs to be done to the truck before we are absolutely
19:56bringing it over to caliber collision centers then whatever is not done is going to have to be taken
20:00care of there because we have got to get this thing into body and primer I was just informed by
20:06our gentleman Jeff we actually have 25 guys waiting right now standing by at our center waiting for this
20:12close not by a long shot we have color it's just not in the truck yet piece by piece and part by part
20:36the truck is going to paint okay we're about to play a prank on John and in order to help me do
20:45this I've got two volunteers Ben and Andreas they're gonna put their white shirts on we're gonna roll up
20:51on them and we're gonna have him sign a refusal to help friends in need now if that's not written with
20:58guilt I don't know what is all right let's go see John posing as charity workers Ben and Andreas
21:05called John out of his home so he can sign some papers I don't have any paperwork on me right
21:11now we have we just have this receipt for you here we were just strictly told by our leader to come
21:17down here and have you just sign the release form that was it our leader was also wondering if it'd be
21:27possible to get a donation so you can't give me a donation right now not really you guys want me
21:44go all the way down there and pick up my truck I see you guys uh screwed up well we didn't screw up but
21:51obviously you guys didn't screw up apparently someone screwed up we're just doing what we were
21:57told our leader told us to come down here and that was strictly what we're doing all right you guys have
22:05a good one thanks so John goes inside and Chris grabs his phone all right we just pulled off the
22:12prank and now we're going to give John a call and see how it went from his end it's exciting isn't it
22:20well how did it go it was good I mean I didn't know who I was doing what uh did they give you a copy of
22:26what you signed yes they did okay this is what I'm going to do I'm going to give you a call on your
22:33cell phone tomorrow when I have more information after what shakes out tonight and hopefully tonight
22:39will just go according to my plan I just want to surveil the location tonight I'm going to case
22:44the operation see what's going on see if we can't take it down I will call you on your cell phone
22:50tomorrow and let you know how the operation is going to work from here okay all right thank you
22:57very much John well thank you you have a great evening you too okay bye listen John study hard because
23:04tonight is the last night of your normal life when you get your overhauling car back tomorrow
23:07it's not gonna be the same after that baby all right it's 7 p.m. on evening 5 and John's GMC finally
23:21made it over to caliber collision centers where there are now 25 body workers going to town on the truck
23:27since the doors have already been primed they're ready for that foos hue known as butter scorch that
23:50happens as other parts of the truck are still getting worked on soon as anything is considered ready it's
23:56amazing two hours it's it's nearly done probably having primer tonight and be sanding it in the morning so
24:18tomorrow it should be here painted and uh but day seven it'll be a running driving car
24:26coming up does scratch know what the heck he's talking about
24:31days four and five of the overhaul and build were all about metal work so much in fact that we had to
24:46begin doing body work here at stitchcraft simultaneously finally we got the truck to
24:50the paint booth and now we're just hoping we get the truck out of paint within the next several hours
24:55all right good morning it is day six and uh it's pretty incredible because we're definitely being
25:02tested on this episode of overhauling the car just went to paint chassis waiting to go to powder
25:07coating I'm here with Craig he's going to give us a little update on the status of the build well we've
25:12had a lot of metal work as you've probably seen we've still got a lot of grinding a little finishing
25:16to do on the frame so we can get that to the powder coater they say they're going to have some of the
25:20painted parts back tonight so we're going to go to the paint shop make sure everything fits right
25:24before they put that coat of color on it since we are about two days behind per se we can't have
25:31any hang-ups now we have to make sure everything's in order and everything lines up and everything's
25:37going to fit and the gang is doing everything they can to get that frame ready you guys ready
25:50all right a little bit late it is day six but the frames going off the specialized to get powder
25:57coated right now drive very slow
26:03we're building at stitchcraft and the team here has put together some of the best vehicle interiors
26:18you're ever going to see show cars power boats prize winners and even everyday drivers they've done
26:25it all here at stitchcraft and for real proof of that check out John's door panels they're called
26:33stitchcraft but in some cases there's more gluing and stitching requiring just as much skill as anyone
26:39using a needle and thread and these door panels are getting a lot of glue holding down the pleats and
26:44the folds in just the right places with just the right cuts and before you know it the foam and
26:53the fabric have come together in a way that will ultimately have those door panels looking just about
26:57ready the door panels is that we will style who's to start stitchcraft
27:05after this we're gonna paint the cabin hood and that's it sounds simple but these guys here at caliber collision are gonna have to hustle working faster than humanly possible making with the spray and the long tall hours
27:12hours
27:19been a long haul
27:23cab and hood, and that's it. Sounds simple, but these guys here at Caliber
27:27Collision are gonna have to hustle, working faster than humanly possible,
27:31making with the spray and the long, tall hours.
27:39It's been a long haul. It's day six. We're down here to the final wire.
27:43Last piece finally going in the paint booth. John, this is all for you. Hope you enjoy it.
27:47Come on, guys.
27:49Uh, did anyone call a cab?
27:53Well, whether you did or not, this one's coming in.
28:01And in a few short hours, it's gonna be one cool taxi
28:05of a truck cab. A very yellow classic that has a ways to go before
28:09it's even close to driving up the road.
28:13But first things first, it's finally seeing
28:17color after this build almost turned Chip into
28:19the boy who cried paint.
28:21Well, it is getting paint, and once again,
28:23Foose is on his way to being the smartest
28:25kid in the class.
28:27So as the final pieces get their shot,
28:29it's time to get back over to Stitchcraft
28:31and check out the chassis.
28:33We got the chassis back from the powder coaters.
28:35Shane's down there putting the suspension
28:37in right now.
28:39Don't forget a new rear end, thanks to the dudes from
28:41Diffwerps. Once that's in, maybe
28:43Chris can tell us what comes next.
28:45What else is happening tonight?
28:47Um...
28:49Put the car back together.
28:51Put the car back together, says Shane.
28:53That'd be a good thing to do.
28:55Okay, well we're ready to put the motor in.
28:57As you can see, the front end's all put together.
28:59We've got the control arm, spindles all on,
29:01and now we're ready to put this motor in.
29:03Okay, put it down there, Foose.
29:07That's it, lower it down there.
29:09That new engine is mixing it up with some parts
29:11from Summit Racing and a tranny
29:13from Chino Hills Transmission.
29:15And now, it's finally coming together on the frame.
29:19Meanwhile, the cab is finished.
29:21Paint Wife.
29:23It's on its way back to Stitchcraft now,
29:25and they can get busy, and I'm going to sleep.
29:27We're back from Caliber.
29:39Thanks, guys.
29:41Sleep well.
29:43The painters can sleep well,
29:45but nobody is going to sleep around here.
29:47This place is going to be activity central,
29:49and the star of it all is John's 52 Pickle.
29:53We're all starting to see the result
29:55of Chip's Butterscorch puzzle,
29:57and what's coming together is even cooler
29:58than we could have imagined.
30:06All right, it's 4.30 in the morning, day seven.
30:08Right now, we have about five guys working on it.
30:11Tomorrow, I think we'll have about 15.
30:13We've got about 36 hours to get this finished.
30:17Coming up, it's time to set loose the ant farm
30:20on the Butterscorch Beast.
30:25On day six of overhauling, concern continued to consume this build,
30:37but the truck, in pieces, finally made its way out of paint.
30:40Now, we still have a heck of a long way to go work-wise,
30:42and John's reveal is just one day away.
30:44All right, I'm here with Aaron Youngerman from MHT,
30:48and he brought the wheel and tire package.
30:49We're going to throw some 20s on this truck for John.
30:51Tell us what we've got.
30:52Well, we've got a boost design nitrous thrust cast center.
30:56We did 28.5s on the front, 20 10s on the rear.
31:01We're running 245 40s and 295 40s.
31:03This is a real nice setup.
31:04BFG hooked us up with some G-Force tires.
31:05Top of the line, as usual.
31:06And these things are going to be sweet.
31:07Don't tread on me.
31:08What do you want, cookie?
31:09You seem a lot less distressed than you did a couple days ago.
31:24I have to say, we were all a little worried.
31:26The metalwork's done.
31:27I've never seen on an overhauling build metalwork happening as the bodywork is taking place
31:32at the body shop.
31:33It's all about the overlap.
31:35Yes.
31:36Overlapping and overhauling.
31:37Life is good.
31:38Life is good.
31:39Or is it, life is sweet?
31:40Sweet.
31:46The wood came our way thanks to Brother's truck parts,
31:49and now Chip sands it down to the length it needs to be.
31:52So what we're doing here is we're fitting the custom pieces of wood into the truck bed.
31:55We're just doing the final fit in them.
31:57We'll drop them down.
31:58Pieces of aluminum will go between.
32:00And then once we have them all fitted, we'll take them back out.
32:03We'll seal them with oil so they won't become water damaged over time.
32:07Chip now sets the wood into the bed, making sure the alignment is just right.
32:16Next, he sizes and fits the metal rail work that'll ride up next to all that lumber.
32:21Soon, it all fits perfectly into place, and it's time to treat the wood with linseed oil.
32:27With the right finish and the right care, the wood in this bed should last as long as the rest of this soon-to-be-reborn ride.
32:34How you liking this fit, Chip?
32:36I like it better much.
32:42Okay, junior woodworkers, time to fit the bed back up with the cab. Let's go!
32:47John, you better be psyched. I'm coming back to your house and staying in the truck again, and this time, I'm not going to eat it back.
32:54This new front end is made up of truck and car parts, like the headlight buckets that came off a 56 Chevy Bel Air.
33:10Some of these pieces have been both reworked and re-chromed.
33:16And the hood, well, it's been given a whole new life again.
33:19The bumper is from a 55 Bel Air, reworked to fit on this older GMC truck.
33:24It's 4.15 a.m. D-Day. I feel comfortable that we can get a little sleep, come back, get this thing together, and you're getting your truck back today, John.
33:36Alright, remember yesterday when there were about 19 bodies frantically working around the GMC at once?
33:42Well, we went from that feverish, intense pace to this.
33:46And guess what, guys? We are just five hours away from delivering this truck to John.
33:51All right.
33:54Bienvenidos. It is D-Day, and we are going to call John right now to set him up for coming down here tonight to get his truck back.
34:00Now, as you can see, there's a lot of work that needs to be done to the truck.
34:03You know what? I've got to give it back today, because today is D-Day, and we don't cheat on overhauling.
34:08John.
34:09Yeah?
34:10Detective Casavides.
34:11Well, hello.
34:12Do you have a minute to talk?
34:13Yeah.
34:14Okay. This place is looking less and less like a charitable organization.
34:19The more I look into it.
34:21My suspicion is that this place is either chopping cars up here, or there's some sort of holding area to chop the cars up.
34:28So, what's your availability this evening?
34:30Probably after 6 o'clock.
34:32What I'd like to do is maybe have you help us take this place down. I want to try to set these guys up, because what I'm thinking is they're going to be asking you for money, and I want to try to get that on tape.
34:42So, I'm going to have my audio guys maybe wire you up and try to get these guys saying something illegal that I can use against them to bring them down, because I don't have enough evidence right now.
34:50But I'm hoping with your assistance, I will have something.
34:53Well, that sounds good.
34:54Okay.
34:55Johnny's all psyched.
34:56Johnny be good.
34:57Johnny wants to bring it down.
34:58Johnny wants his truck back.
35:00Johnny, you're going to get your truck back, dude.
35:02Have no fear overhauling this here.
35:05And have no fear about the A-Team, because the pace is picked up as assembly on the truck continues.
35:13Yeah, they're working there like busy little bees, bouncing from feeling good to feeling stressed.
35:30But the bottom line, time really is running out.
35:33All right, the concern in the garage is growing.
35:37John is scheduled to be here in approximately 45 minutes.
35:40And as you can see, the team is still scrambling to get the car fully assembled and do all the finishing detail work.
35:46We cannot afford to have John standing outside that door if his truck isn't complete and ready to go.
35:53We've got like an hour to go and we're still building the grill.
35:56So, we're not sure which one Chip's going to use.
35:59We're going to clean up all three of them, let him piece it together, get it painted, get it put in.
36:04We'll make it.
36:05We hope Jeff's right, because our insiders are here and we are moments away from revealing the truck.
36:14Oh, you!
36:18You want to ride in it?
36:19You want to ride in it?
36:20What do you think, Brian?
36:21Oh, I think you did a great job.
36:23Well, John, in just moments, you're going to meet your brand new dream ride.
36:27Coming up, John's ready to take on the charity that grabbed his wheels.
36:34It's D-Day and our Mark is here at our overhaul and hideout, not even knowing that he's soon to be enlightened.
36:51Not to mention totally stunned, thanks to our wicked reveal and the forthcoming sight of his reinvented 1952 GMC truck.
36:58Let's do this thing.
37:00John meets with our agents to get wired and get the scoop on what's about to go down.
37:07Make sure you hide that good, I don't want those guys knowing it's wired.
37:12Yeah.
37:13How are you feeling, alright?
37:15Alright, made me a little nervous.
37:17You're going to go to the far back of the building.
37:20There's a door back there with a note on it that says United Crossroads, whatever.
37:25You're going to knock on that door, okay?
37:28Do you mind turning it off?
37:30No, I'm sorry.
37:31I'll just lower you over there.
37:32You're going to knock on that door, okay?
37:33Uh-huh.
37:34And hopefully one of these guys is going to come in the door and we'll see what happens from there.
37:36We're going to have officers pretty much surrounding that location so you don't have anything to worry about, okay?
37:41With the briefing over, the trap has been set and it's go time.
37:46First to answer the door is our good friend Ben.
37:56May I help you?
37:57I saw you yesterday.
37:58I came to see, uh, what's it, Melvin?
38:01Do you have your paperwork?
38:03No.
38:04One moment, please.
38:06And now it's Chris's turn, dressed as one of the strangest car thieves you're ever going to see.
38:16Melvin here gives John more of a hard time, thanking him yet again for his generous donation.
38:21But this time, John's standing his ground, demanding that his truck be returned.
38:26So what do we do?
38:27Well, we make him wait some more.
38:38And now it's time to put the cherry on our Sunday of deception.
38:41Yeah, is this the United, uh, Crossroads Coalition?
38:46You guys have my car.
38:48They have your truck, too?
38:49You're kidding me.
38:50Wouldn't it be kind of funny if, uh, if we were on that TV show overhauling, where they make over your car in a week?
39:01What are you talking about?
39:09How are you feeling?
39:11I'm just speechless, man.
39:13I'm just like...
39:15I mean, I don't know.
39:19He's speechless now, but wait till we hook him up with his reworked masterpiece.
39:29Wow.
39:30Do you recognize it as being a truck?
39:33No.
39:34It looks nothing like my camera.
39:35He's still speechless, but that's the kind of guy John is.
39:51Bubbling inside as his eyes can't believe what he's seen.
39:55Thank you very much.
39:56I love it.
39:58Just looking at it, it's just crazy.
40:04You're in shock.
40:05Yeah, it just...
40:06Wow.
40:08It's a monument of modification, and you're not going to see another one like it no matter where you're driving.
40:13The truck is a dream ride for John, sporting bare brakes, Magnaflow performance exhaust, and a lot of stuff he's been wanting for a long, long time.
40:23You had that huge wish list.
40:24Yeah.
40:25Does this fulfill your expectations?
40:26No, this goes beyond it.
40:29It goes beyond it.
40:31How are you doing, man?
40:32It's time for John to meet the guys who took an old gray pickup and made it into the coolest 52 that our mark has ever seen.
40:39And once he's inside checking out the leather interior, John is simply in butter scorch heaven.
40:49With all this new metal work, Chip took our clock and gave us a real nail biter, but the result definitely falls into the category known as Orphan.
41:03There's still more builders to meet, including guys like Ben, who took part in all of the pranking.
41:08Your dreams have become my nightmares.
41:12That's great.
41:14John, do you deserve this?
41:15I don't know.
41:17How are you doing?
41:19Oh, man. You're welcome.
41:20I don't like it. I love it.
41:22You've got a big hug.
41:23If I can, I want to.
41:24I just want to drive it.
41:25Yeah, I just want to.
41:27Of course he wants to drive it.
41:29But unlike the rest of planet Earth, John's the only one who's not going to have to wait.
41:33The rest of us, hey, we'll get in line with everybody else.
41:38And just when the modified body has John dazed enough, how about popping that hood?
41:43You're ready to hear it?
41:45You're overwhelmed.
41:46Yeah, I'm overwhelmed on Orphan.
41:47Before, I think it was a nightmare.
41:48It was just like a beautiful dream come true.
41:50Who are you going to take for the first ride?
41:52Besides anyone here?
41:53Good answer.
41:54Besides that, probably my mom.
41:58John now learns that this was a family project.
42:03dream come true. Who are you going to take for the first ride? Besides anyone here?
42:08Good answer. Besides that, probably my mom.
42:12John now learns that this was a family project.
42:18You like it? Yeah, I love it. This is the guy who sets you up. He's just a great guy all
42:39around, helps out his family. He's the uncle of my new son. Congratulations to you. I'm
42:45inviting everyone here, and once I become a chiropractor, no charge for me. All these
43:00guys have put the labor into it and just put their heart and soul into it to get it done.
43:04A lot of love went into me. A lot. I love it a lot. Thank you. My pleasure. Thank you.
43:11This was joy. He loves the ride, and with the ride comes a phrase that's got to be a gas
43:17to deliver. My name is John, and I've just been overhauled. John was tricked. His truck
43:24is now tricked out. And next time, it could be you and your ride. Where else? Only here
43:29at Overhauling.
43:36I love it.
43:38You.
43:42Oh, okay.
43:43Oh, yeah.
43:45I love it.
43:46You.
43:49Oh, yeah.
44:03I love it.
44:04I love it.
