00:25is classic industries chrissy will be our insider she's miles's wife in for one big week as chip and
00:32his posse make the bronco brilliant here where miles gets miffed while his ford is made fantastic
00:40so get ready as we get ready to seize a 68 and take it to that rare place that few rides will
00:46ever go that place known to many as the one and only overhauling
00:55miles is our mark a musician will drive into madness
01:20his wife chrissy works for a fashion magazine and she's key to our plot
01:25the bronco we're overhauling has a lot of family history we'll learn about later
01:30it's a ride meaning a great deal to our mark
01:33this heist is easy because he's handing it to us
01:38our producer veronica will play a co-worker of miles's wife
01:41our mark's been told his 68 will be part of a photo shoot featuring a top secret celebrity
01:46miles will be paid for the rental and his bronco's gonna be a star
01:50i love it oh my god it's just it's so cute
01:55good your wife she's so awesome no no problem that's great this is her dad's little car oh
02:01really happy about it too our dad's had it for like 30 years and right before he died he sent
02:05it to me like a couple years ago so you know it's kind of oh my gosh so this is your baby
02:11it's going to be uh it's kind of ugly baby right now
02:13it's a little rustic definitely but that's exactly what we're going for
02:19time for miles to go over the deal and sign the right away just want to make sure that you
02:23understand that we have the right to use the pictures in any way all right and that we have
02:29an insurance policy under the umbrella of the publisher in the magazine for one million dollars
02:33in case anything goes wrong i think that'll cover it like i told jessica
02:35and just your signature there it's going to be great awesome all right so nice to meet you thank
02:42you so much ronnie ronnie okay all right take care thank you veronica as ronnie joins the carrier
02:47and the bronco a 68 in for a change
02:50chris is pulling up with the 68 ford bronco in this case he didn't have to steal it
02:57it was just handed to him this is getting too easy hey team come out here and check it out
03:02bring it on so what do you think john you just dove right in you're so excited i'm ready for this
03:09we're gonna make this thing rock first impressions of pop pop in the hood of the 68 bronco well
03:13obviously we got a little uh hug weakness going on i'm gonna do it so all right brian i noticed you
03:18noticed the gun racks in the back yeah it holds three he's he's kind of excited it's slightly scaring me
03:24first impressions of the bronco i've always liked the bronco i was praying that we'd get one without
03:29russ but i know that these are famous for russ but she's good from far but far from good wow they
03:34really put a lot of effort into carving this uh armrest out time to bring it in for a bash with the
03:41bronco are we almost there the team captain on this build is chip foos
03:49take a good look and see what we're up against
03:57oh this thing's a peach i love it
04:27there is some rust issues that we're gonna have to address when it gets back from blasting
04:32all right we got all the bolts out we're about to make this bronco convertible
04:41developing theme of the day is rust if you look underneath this car it's almost as though it's
04:50been undercoated it's looking good but there's a lot of nuts and bolts that are just rusted and
05:02caked on dirt and grime and that's kind of the battle right now
05:05miles inside your heater box i found a couple of things you lost here's your tire pressure gauge
05:17and a little mouse
05:19it's time for miles's wife chrissy to check out the progress
05:25so just how did miles obtain this rust bucket the original owner of the car was my dad's best
05:37friend okay he was like a father to my dad and when he passed away in i think the early 90s late
05:4380s he willed it to my dad they always used it for hunting and when my dad retired and moved to the
05:48country then he took it with him and then when my husband saw it he fell in love with it and my dad was
05:53so happy to see someone who cared about it and didn't consider it a piece of junk so yeah that's
05:57when he told my husband he wanted to give it to him my dad passed away in 2003 so at that time is
06:03when it came out to california i know that it's always been your dream to have this car fixed up
06:08and the reality of it actually happening is slim to none i know the car has deeper meaning to you
06:13other than just my dad willing it on to you that you share this love of cars with your own father so
06:18i love you and i wanted to see something come full circle for you and i just think you're great i love you
06:23the bronco's almost ready for blasting but first the windshield needs to come out
06:29shane know how to work those power tours or what all right one windshield off one engine to go
06:34this thing's going over to media blast and we'll see what we got to work with
06:37doesn't look that bad
06:43chrissy holds the hand carved armrest that came out of the bronco
06:51is this something we have to put back in there that's a souvenir no a souvenir i wanted to hold
06:56on to it my dad actually made that oh that's very good i read the submission forms and what i got from
07:01that is that miles wants to put the truck back to as an original shape as he can right is that where
07:06you'd like to see it yes all right we're done perfect see you later but i know he wants to put a stereo
07:12and a roll bar yes and a back we'd love a backseat for the girls so that we could use it as a family
07:18my husband's very safety conscious i know that he would not let the girls in the car if he didn't
07:23think that it was really safe his passions are his family comes first music is second surfing is third
07:29he thinks he's making money off this photo shoot so with this money he wanted to try
07:34and get a backseat which he found for 200 bucks online last night
07:37a roll bar and better tires don't waste your money because you might get them here
07:44he has never expressed like this is exactly what i want to do to the color of the car
07:53okay i just know whenever he's picked out showing me things they were baby blue and pale yellow and
07:59we've talked about it a little bit i think it'd look best if it was either a blue top with a white
08:04or we went to a pale yellow with a white top either of those two options would be perfect
08:08these are just the loose sketches i'll end up doing a final but i'm actually leaning towards the yellow
08:15i think that the yellow could look a little more fun and i think the interior needs to stay the white
08:20okay nice i think this could be a lot of fun i think so too he'll love it
08:25it's 8 30 p.m on day one the bronco's back from the media blaster we're going to take a closer look
08:31to see what we're really working with we're looking at all the rust that's left behind
08:37what we're looking at is we have a lot of rust in a lot of different areas here we do have just
08:46about every piece of sheet metal on the front of this new i think the best bet is the fact
08:50way we're going to be able to do this is to replace most of the front sheet metal
08:53what we're doing right now is we're bracing up this whole cowl section make sure that that doesn't
09:02move then we start cutting off the whole front end because we've got replacement parts we'll build
09:07all this brand new then we're only worried about a couple welds rather than trying to come in and
09:12weld up this rust weld up that rust weld up the little rust that's over here and pretty soon
09:17you're going to have a fat panel of all these little areas that we fixed all the rust instead
09:22of doing that just one spot where we weld it and put a whole new box on it's a lot easier
09:27morning day two my favorite way to start a day here on overhauling is with the delivery
09:38of a brand new rash crate motor come on and it's a beauty
09:43roush racing crate 327 kevin what are you thinking man just look at it it's just screaming badass
09:52it is very very cool now i understand from the guys from bronco graveyard that this is such a big
09:57engine that might not fit in the engine compartment of the bronco huh we may have to change the air
10:01filter put a drop base air filter on it a little bit lower so it'll fit in there yeah and this thing's
10:05going to be pumping out about 410. 410 yeah that is awesome and see the low permeates man miles make
10:10sure not to leave your surfboard over the engine compartment because you might just melt the wax on
10:15that bad boy
10:15the body work is coming along enough to have chip giving us a high five
10:23what's going to be real cool about this car is when we're finished you know keeping it almost that
10:33stock look with a couple subtle modifications it's going to look more like a survivor right than
10:37something that's already been you know hacked up and cut up and turned into something else that
10:42would have been fun till they open up the hood this is one of those vehicles that when people see it
10:46on the street they can use their imagination wow a survivor we can build something cool out of that
10:51inspiration
10:52yeah
10:52yeah
11:21All right Miles, the truck's been stolen but it's in good hands.
11:49It's phone prank time, Miles just called us right now, so what I'm going to do is give
11:53Miles a call, ask him if we can keep the Bronco for one more day.
11:56Hello Miles?
11:57Yes.
11:58Hi, this is Jessica Michaels.
11:59Hey, how's it going?
12:00Hi, how are you?
12:01How's it going?
12:02Look at the shoot.
12:03It's going absolutely fantastic.
12:05Good.
12:06Everybody has been very, very happy, I just spoke to the photographer's assistant.
12:11Because it's going so well, we would like to have the Bronco for one more day.
12:16Cool.
12:17We'll be paying you an extra 350.
12:19Cool.
12:20Well, we're dying to know who the celebrity is.
12:22Yeah, well unfortunately I cannot tell who the celebrity is until the shoot is absolutely
12:27completed.
12:28Oh, okay.
12:29You can tell me after it's done then?
12:30I can tell you after it's done, yes.
12:32Okay, good.
12:33So easy.
12:34Don't worry Miles, your Bronco's in good hands with us because once you get it back, it's
12:37going to be fantastic.
12:38Good morning, day three.
12:40We're wrapping up the rest of the metalwork.
12:42We had a lot of rust in the front.
12:44We've replaced them with all the front sheet metal, all the inner structure.
12:47Core support, the side pieces here, the cowl, we've sectioned the door jamb here, new floor.
12:54So basically everything from here forward is all new.
12:57It's going to be nice and solid.
12:58It's going to be a clean ride.
12:59John from Kicker is back with us.
13:03Now he's in charge of the custom stereo install along with the guys from J&G Customs.
13:07Now, you've got a little bit of a dilemma because you're not quite sure of what you're
13:10going to put the subwoofer in, like what you could possibly use as an enclosure.
13:14Yeah, we've got a problem here because you didn't have wooden speaker enclosures back
13:19at 68.
13:20What could we possibly put the woofer in?
13:23I'm bleeding my head trying to figure out what we could use for the subwoofer.
13:26This is going to pound.
13:28When you look in the vehicle, unless you're looking for it, you'll never know it's there,
13:31but you'll hear it.
13:32That's totally awesome because it'll look like a gas tank that'll actually be a subwoofer
13:36enclosure.
13:37All right, it's 5.30 p.m. day three.
13:40We finally got all the metal work done.
13:42We got the hood and doors, fenders fit the way we like it.
13:44Now it's time to blow it apart.
13:47Once that body is off, it's time to tackle the frame and start it on its journey to a new
13:52and better life.
13:56We just got the body off.
13:59We're stripping the frame.
14:00You can see the axles here, axles over there.
14:03We're going to blow them apart, get them cleaned up, powder coated.
14:06These guys brought all the parts from Bronco Graveyard and put it all back together.
14:10So hopefully we'll meet up again soon.
14:13These old parts are giving the A-Team a workout.
14:17All right, 9.45, day three.
14:22Looks like we're ready to load up the stuff on the trailer, get it ready for powder coat.
14:26Maybe get an early night tonight.
14:28Come on.
14:29Get it off.
14:30Let's go.
14:31Trailer's waiting.
14:32Come on, Shane.
14:33Get it off.
14:34All right, it's 8.30 AM, day four.
14:35About ready to load the body up on the trailer.
14:36Send it over to Fix.
14:37The frame and all the suspension is at Gemtech.
14:38It's going to get powder coated today.
14:39So hopefully both items will meet up tonight.
14:40We'll put it back together.
14:41The body is here at Fix.
14:42We're going to get the top off, get all the pieces in there.
14:43We can start getting everything primered.
14:50They'll block it, and Todd says we're going to have it back tonight.
15:06My guess is tomorrow morning.
15:07It's going to be tonight.
15:10And with the beautiful R&M color,
15:12We're set to go.
15:13Well, let's get this thing unloaded and get started on it.
15:16Let's do it.
15:17Well, before they can get started on the paint, there's a lot of body work and prep still
15:21on the schedule.
15:26Noon on day four.
15:27We're here at Keyston Leather.
15:28We're going to go inside and get some materials so Bill Dunn can build us an interior for
15:31Miles' 68 Bronco, and you just might recognize the guy that's going to help us out.
15:36Come on.
15:37What's happening, Ivan?
15:38Hey, what's up, man?
15:39Good to see you, man.
15:40Nice to see you again.
15:41As you may remember, Ivan 70 Nova was featured on Overhauling, a.k.a.
15:45Novocaine.
15:46That's right.
15:47Now, we hooked you up before.
15:48Are you going to come back at us?
15:49Let's do it.
15:50Right now.
15:51I know you guys probably got some good stuff for us.
15:52Oh, yeah.
15:53Sitting here in a bright white snowstorm.
15:54This is it here.
15:56Nice.
15:57Beautiful.
15:58Nice and soft.
15:59It's going to be really cool inside of Miles' 68 Bronco.
16:02I think Bill Dunn's going to be able to do some cool stuff with it.
16:05That'll do it.
16:06I know, man.
16:07You looking for some good material?
16:09Keyston's your place.
16:12We got an original back seat actually out of my truck, Miles, so you better enjoy it.
16:18But it's an original back seat.
16:21The wood's pretty rotted.
16:22The clips are spinning on us, so we're trying to force them out so we can send the frame off
16:27the powder coat, send the seat covers and the bases to Bill Dunn so we can reproduce everything,
16:34and make a new seat out of this thing.
16:36Hope your kids enjoy it, Miles.
16:39As the parts and pieces receive primer, the main body of the truck is ready for the spray gun.
16:48All right, it's day four, nine o'clock in the evening.
16:54Cars, all the body work's done.
16:56We're going to put it in the booth.
16:58The first coat is the acid etching primer, a layer that helps the paint adhere to the surface.
17:07All right, that's all the acid etching primer done to it.
17:10We'll come back and put four or five coats of primer on it.
17:12We'll get some heat on it so we can get the inside of this floor all textured and painted.
17:17Wake up, there's still a long night ahead.
17:26All right, Miles, a little more prep work and then Todd can put a texture coating,
17:29which is going to give everything kind of a uniform feel,
17:31and it's also going to help sound dead in the Bronco.
17:47Work continues through the night as pieces get sanded and Todd primes the truck.
18:045.30, day five. I'm Wolf.
18:08We're going to start painting the doors, two-toning the doors and the tailgate.
18:11Chip and the guys are out there blocking the truck out.
18:14The roof, we're going to start painting the outside,
18:17and I've got the grill and some other parts in the other booth that we're getting painted.
18:20We should be done with this thing by noon on day five, which ain't too bad.
18:24It'll be about 30 hours, but a little more than I wanted, but it's getting it.
18:31All right, it's 10 o'clock in the morning, day five.
18:33Ready for the final color on the body.
18:35Spread the mustard.
18:36That's what I want to do.
18:44Let's go.
18:51Alright, it's 1245 in the afternoon, ay five.
18:53All right, it's 12.45 in the afternoon, day five.
19:13I got the truck all painted.
19:15It's been here about 27 hours.
19:17We got it all done, though.
19:18We're going to get it back over to Classic Industries, and they're going to start assembling
19:21this thing.
19:21I still got to paint the roof on it, but that's only going to take me about an hour, and
19:24then I'm going home.
19:26Chrissy's back at Classic Industries.
19:29The frame.
19:31I don't even know what that is.
19:33It's just the frame.
19:33They're working on the suspension.
19:36That's amazing.
19:36Why, thank you so much.
19:38When Chip returns, there's more to see.
19:40Thank you so much.
19:42Oh, you're welcome.
19:42The drawing's beautiful.
19:43I can't wait to see the car.
19:44The body's here if you'd like to see it.
19:46Yeah, let's go see it.
19:46It's going to be absolutely incredible.
19:52He's going to flip out.
19:54You think you'll like the color?
19:55He's going to love the color.
19:56Good.
19:57He's going to love it.
20:02It's going to be lighter, and I love it.
20:04Okay, Chrissy, it's day five.
20:05You've seen the chassis.
20:06You've seen that great Roush motor.
20:08You've seen some of the parts, and you've seen the body.
20:11Anything you'd like to say to Miles now?
20:13It's beautiful.
20:14I hope you love it, and I hope you know how much I love you.
20:17Chip and Craig bring in the new California performance transmission so the guys can take
20:21the next step with that powerful Roush engine.
20:33And it's soon time to get it all on the frame.
20:40All right, it's 10.30 p.m., day five.
20:51About ready to put the body on top of the chassis.
20:53We've got enough guys here, so we're going to do it.
21:03Okay, now it's time to bolt it all down.
21:05I'm here with Chrissy.
21:11We're about to place a little phone call to Miles, have a little fun with him.
21:14Hi, it's Jessica Michaels.
21:16Hey, Jessica.
21:17Hi, how are you?
21:18I'm doing well.
21:19Good, good.
21:19Well, I just wanted to let you know that the shoot went absolutely, absolutely, fabulously
21:23well.
21:24But there's just a little snafu I wanted to go over with you a little bit.
21:27Mm-hmm.
21:28Because this happens all the time.
21:30Celebrities on shoots, they always want everything, and we usually give it to them.
21:34So that's why I'm kind of placing this call that they love your car, and they want it.
21:42Yeah.
21:44Well, I guess it all depends on that magic price, of course.
21:46I'm going to give your number to their manager.
21:49Her name is Brigitte.
21:51Okay.
21:51Strike some sort of deal, and then let me know if to have the car released back to you
21:56or give it to the celebrity.
21:57Okay.
21:58That sounds good.
21:59Bye-bye.
21:59Bye.
21:59So what's the magic number?
22:03I think he's just trying to be nice to you.
22:05I don't think there's a magic number.
22:07Miles, name your price.
22:11Stage two, where Chrissy will call Miles.
22:14Hey.
22:15Okay, you ready for the drama?
22:17Yes.
22:18Jessica called me from Glamourine.
22:21Right.
22:22She's like, I just want to say again how fabulous that when I saw some Polaroids, oh, my gosh,
22:27they're just fierce.
22:28She goes, they're in just one little snafu, though.
22:31You know, usually with these kind of things, the celebrities always want to keep the clothes
22:35and stuff.
22:35Shut up.
22:36To keep your car.
22:37Shut up.
22:38And I go, cool, well, I guess it depends on that magic price.
22:42And she's like, oh, so you don't think you want to sell it?
22:45I go, you know, I'll deal with that later.
22:47You know, so the car's on its way back right now?
22:49She's like, no, it's still in storage because we thought the celebrity, you might want the
22:53celebrity to keep it.
22:54What?
22:55And I really had to catch myself because I know this is, like, your job.
22:57And so I wanted to be, you know what?
22:59I don't give a f*** if it's President Bush, the car's not for sale.
23:02But somebody's going to, someone wants to steal it, basically.
23:05They want it for, like, two grams or something like that.
23:07And they can go f*** themselves.
23:09Buddy.
23:10Okay, first of all, take a deep breath here.
23:13No, I cannot stand that kind of, like, power place where people...
23:17Well, just tell whoever's calling you tomorrow, just tell them no.
23:20I know, but trust me, someone's going to try to pull us out.
23:23We can get my work involved and get the car back if it comes down to that, but I'm sure
23:26it'll be fine.
23:27All right, I'll call you as soon as I get out of my dinner.
23:30Okay.
23:30All right, love you.
23:31Bye.
23:32Bye.
23:32Miles, you need to simmer down.
23:36Hang in there, because you're about to be overhauled.
23:40All right, it's 10 a.m., day six.
23:42Making great progress on Miles' Bronco.
23:44We got the body on the frame last night.
23:46Getting ready to put the dash in.
23:47Hopefully, we'll be able to start hanging fenders and doors today.
23:49Put the glass in.
23:51This thing should look really good by this afternoon, this evening.
23:53We've still got a few parts we're missing.
23:55Hopefully, those will come in tomorrow.
23:56Hopefully, they need to.
23:58And we'll keep going.
23:59Bye.
23:59Bye.
23:59Bye.
23:59Bye.
23:59Bye.
23:59Bye.
23:59Bye.
23:59Bye.
24:00Bye.
24:00Bye.
24:01Bye.
24:02We send Bridget to meet with Miles.
24:04Her goal?
24:05Convince our mark to sell his Bronco.
24:09Miles?
24:11Hi.
24:13I just wanted to say thanks again for meeting me and tell you, I really want to make this
24:18work.
24:19I don't know if you've dealt with a lot of high-profile people before.
24:23I do it all the time.
24:24And they're picky and tricky.
24:27And they want what they want.
24:28So, uh...
24:29I'll tell you, there's a...
24:30This company right here is an Inglewood.
24:32Okay.
24:33And they restore and sell cars just like mine, dozens of them.
24:36Okay.
24:37Okay.
24:38We need to do research it.
24:39I'm going to be honest with you.
24:41Okay.
24:42He wants your car.
24:43Yeah, it's not for sale though.
24:44How about if I give you cash right now?
24:46Because they went to the bank.
24:48All right.
24:49It's not for sale.
24:50Okay.
24:51Okay.
24:52All right.
24:53I'm looking at your neighborhood and it's cute.
24:54It's really, really cute.
24:55Right.
24:56It's not the most expensive place.
24:57Right.
24:58You probably could use the money.
24:59Money is not the issue.
25:00That's the thing.
25:01Okay.
25:02Some things are not for sale.
25:03This car means that much to you that it's not for sale.
25:06Yeah.
25:07It means much, much more to my client.
25:09He collects cars.
25:10Every time he does a photo shoot, he always takes the car.
25:12Right.
25:13He won't let it go.
25:14I'm not going to get it back for you, honestly.
25:15Well, then...
25:16It's not coming back.
25:17It's a pile of stolen vehicle report then.
25:19All right.
25:20If you want to do it like that.
25:21No.
25:22If you want to do it like that, that's fine.
25:23Right.
25:24I was trying to come here and see what I could do.
25:26I mean, I want you to be happy.
25:28I want to do good by you.
25:29I want to do good by my client.
25:30You have the car and it's somebody else's and your client's...
25:34You released that car.
25:35That was your choice.
25:36You released the car.
25:37No, no, no.
25:38I released the car.
25:39So, you know what?
25:40I'm going to have to...
25:41I'm going to have to make a phone call.
25:42Hold on.
25:43I'll tell you right now.
25:44I'm calling Bill Wackerman.
25:45That's fine.
25:46That's fine.
25:47That's fine.
25:48That's fine.
25:49I'm here at J&G Customs with John and right behind me, I have a donor vehicle from
26:02memory lane.
26:03So, John, how does this vehicle help with what you guys are doing?
26:07This helps us tremendously because obviously, we can't take the build vehicle over to the
26:11shop to work on it.
26:12So, it's nice to have two vehicles we can work on at once.
26:14We can make all the products in this vehicle, then we can take them back and put them in
26:17Miles' vehicle so everything fits perfectly.
26:19Inside, what's Jeff working on?
26:22This is actually the beginning of the back side panel.
26:25We went ahead and put a yard drain as the grill to actually make it more of a rustic look.
26:30Keep the stock interior.
26:31So, he'll have awesome kicker sound.
26:34Everything will be completely invisible to keep that 68 vintage look.
26:37Well, Miles, getting nothing but the best and I hope you like it.
26:41All right, we got our Cooper tires for Miles' 68 Bronco.
26:46Now, as you can see, we have enough tires here for about three vehicles.
26:49Cooper gave us the option on what tire treads and different sizes we wanted to run.
26:52So, Chip said, all right, let's get a couple different sizes and see what looks the best.
26:59Chris from Wheelsmith is here.
27:04They got the wheels from Miles' Bronco.
27:06And they also brought vintage Ford hubcaps.
27:09Now, Foose, what gave you the idea to use these caps?
27:12Well, it's like I've been calling this thing the survivor.
27:14I think with this wheel and once we paint it, the body color is in the center and that off-white on the outside.
27:20Put the hubcaps and we've got some beauty rings.
27:22It's going to look like it was, it could have been the original wheel that came on the truck.
27:25It's a little bit larger.
27:26We'll go with those new tires and it stays with that whole survivor type theme.
27:31Let's get these things inside to see how they look mocked up.
27:34Put the center on there.
27:35Get the Cooper tires on there.
27:36Ready to roll.
27:38And as Craig predicted, the assembly begins along with the installation of the windows and the doors.
27:43We just got the radiator just about finished mounting.
27:52Got the new cooling fan on.
27:54Just barely squeezes in Fiat.
27:56Everything else is coming along really good.
27:59Couple more wires, some plumbing.
28:01This thing's about ready to fire up.
28:03Waiting on some parts for the power steering and the hydro boost.
28:06Hopefully it'll show up tomorrow.
28:07So, I think tomorrow's a good day for lighting this sucker up.
28:10And now for a different sort of sound system.
28:15Let's check this bad boy out.
28:17You want to put that fender on the truck?
28:19That color's perfect too.
28:21Yeah.
28:22The goal is there was a gun rack in the Bronco.
28:28Yeah.
28:29And he plays a Strat.
28:30Cool.
28:31So, we want to actually put the guitar in the rack rather than a gun.
28:34Especially a fender.
28:35Yeah, yeah.
28:36Miles, all for you.
28:37Next time you see it, it might look a little more like your Bronco.
28:41Shiny white stuff.
28:43All right, it's 9.30 p.m. day six.
28:47Gem Tech just powder coated all the white items we needed.
28:50We just got those back.
28:51Got to bring in the roll cage from ProFab.
28:52That got powder coated white as well.
28:54Send the tires and wheels off tomorrow to Shoreline.
28:56Get them mounted up.
28:57Be wrapping this baby up tomorrow night.
28:59I wonder if everybody at home would like to see themselves on TV.
29:06All right, we're here at Shoreline.
29:08It's the morning of day seven.
29:09Nolan has the wheels from Wheelsmith which have been powder coated white on the touchless
29:14wheel mounting machine right now.
29:15We're going to wrap them up in some Cooper tires.
29:17Let's let Nolan do his thing.
29:19Get these bad boys mounted up.
29:20Get them back to class.
29:21There you go, man.
29:35What do you think?
29:36The light is perfect on you.
29:38Is it?
29:39Okay, we have the wheels.
29:41Now we need to hear that motor.
29:43It's 8 p.m. day seven.
29:45Looks like we're ready to fire up the engine.
29:47Rob, you ready?
29:48Let's do it.
29:49That's the boost this team needed.
30:05Now the big pieces are going to climb on board, along with that roll cage from Proto Fab.
30:10After that, well, this thing is going to start looking like the very cool Bronco it's turning
30:14out to be.
30:15I'm good.
30:16Good.
30:17Good.
30:18Good.
30:19Here, watch out.
30:20This right here.
30:21Looking real good.
30:22Hold on my fingers there.
30:23It's 10-30 day seven.
30:24We're getting ready to put the top on and wrap this thing up.
30:30It's D-Day and the Bronco's looking great.
30:34What I'm doing right now is just putting a little detail on the steering wheel that when
30:38it's finished it'll look like that's the way it should have come from the factory.
30:42Just a little silver stripe on the steering wheel.
30:45It's not something that'll ever look like, hey, that's not stuff.
30:49Looks original.
30:51Part of that survivor mode.
30:53And for even one more great final touch here on D-Day, Dennis is pinstriping the guitar.
31:05Armor All hits every inch of Miles' ride, making it ready for our big reveal.
31:12It's morning of D-Day and a little bit different.
31:18We're going in the morning to do a final prank, come back and get Miles' car back.
31:25Okay, here comes the big final prank.
31:28One worthy of a full stretch limo.
31:30Before he gets his ride back, Miles is going to have to tangle face to face with that mystery celebrity he's been hearing about.
31:36That won't take no for an answer star who insists on buying the Bronco.
31:40He's a very special man who first has his people do the dealing.
31:44An entourage including Bridget, AJ and little ol' year is true.
31:52Miles, hi.
31:54President here?
31:56No, our client's here.
31:58This is Pamela McClentock.
31:59Hi.
32:00She's legal counsel for the client.
32:01Hi.
32:02How are you?
32:03I'm going to let you guys talk since you and I were not able to make any leeway.
32:06Basically, I'm here to arbitrate my client's request.
32:10So, what's your price?
32:11What is my price?
32:12It's a family heirloom that's been in the family for 38 years.
32:15I can show you pictures of my wife in the car when she was like this tall.
32:19You have to understand, everybody has a price, so name it.
32:21It's not for sale.
32:22I'm so sorry.
32:23I don't know how many ways to tell you that.
32:26Some things are not for sale.
32:28Would you like to talk to my client?
32:30It doesn't make any difference.
32:31It's really flattering.
32:32It's up to you to say no to his face.
32:34Obviously, I don't know if it's a woman thing and you have some kind of power struggle.
32:37But we're trying to do business and you don't want to.
32:40I just don't want to waste anybody else's time.
32:42Okay, well, I'm not going to take no for an answer.
32:43So, if you'd like to talk to my client, please, because I would like to handle this.
32:46Just wait right here, please.
32:48Jacobs?
32:49He's way right here.
32:50Uh, whatever you want, sir.
32:51Hi.
32:52How you doing?
32:53I want your Bronco.
32:54What?
32:55Congratulations.
32:56You're on overhauling.
32:57You're lying.
32:58Are you serious?
32:59Uh-huh.
33:00You've been overhauled.
33:01Are you kidding me?
33:02No.
33:03Are you familiar with the show?
33:04No, I'm totally.
33:05I was watching you last night.
33:06Well, Alice has just learned that he has been overhauled.
33:08It's overwhelming.
33:09I can't believe you guys pulled this off, and it's pretty elaborate.
33:10I'm sure all my neighbors are, they weren't aware of this.
33:11What?
33:12How are you doing?
33:13How are you doing?
33:14I want your Bronco.
33:15What?
33:16Congratulations.
33:17You're on overhauling.
33:18You're lying.
33:19Are you serious?
33:20Uh-huh.
33:21You've been overhauled.
33:22Are you kidding me?
33:23No.
33:24No, I've been overhauled.
33:25Are you familiar with the show?
33:26No.
33:27I totally.
33:28I was watching you last night.
33:29Well, Alice has just learned that he has been overhauled.
33:32It's overwhelming.
33:33I can't believe you guys pulled this off, and it's pretty elaborate.
33:36I'm sure all my neighbors are wondering what's going on.
33:38I can't believe you guys went through this much trouble.
33:41I'm so honored, seriously.
33:43It's an honor.
33:44We're happy to do it for you, man.
33:46Nice to meet you.
33:47Thank you so much.
33:48Congratulations, man.
33:49Good to see you.
33:50Let's wrap this up here.
33:51Get back down to Classic Industries in Hydee Beach.
33:52Excited?
33:53Very excited.
33:54Go ahead, man.
33:55Oh, my gosh.
33:56Wow.
33:57That cannot be my car.
34:11That's the best.
34:12Oh, my gosh.
34:13Oh, my gosh.
34:14This cannot be my car.
34:19Oh, that's so fast.
34:20Yep.
34:21Oh, my gosh.
34:22How in the world?
34:23What's jumping out at you right now, Mom?
34:24Oh, I just, it's amazing.
34:26It's just, it's everything.
34:27It's absolutely perfect.
34:28I'm just so blessed, seriously.
34:29I can't believe it.
34:30I can't believe it.
34:31It's like a brand new car.
34:32Like...
34:33Part by part, it is your basic brand new Bronco.
34:35A survivor, as Chip calls it, the kind of vehicle that will have people guessing, figuring that
34:42this Ford has been preserved in the factory warehouse since 1968.
34:49And now, it's in the kind of shape that can accommodate the whole thing.
34:56Yeah, it makes me want to burst into tears, like, thinking about my kids and my, you know,
35:03nieces and nephews getting to ride around in the back of that thing now.
35:05So, what were you planning with the $1,000 that you were going to make from this?
35:07Peat belts.
35:08I couldn't try to find out how much a roll bar would cost and some seat belts, just so
35:15we could try to drive it around town, you know?
35:16It's going to be in the family for the rest of your life, man.
35:17Oh, yeah.
35:18Yeah, if I wouldn't sell it before, I sure won't sell it now.
35:19Yeah.
35:20If I wouldn't sell it before, I wouldn't sell it now.
35:21Yeah.
35:22Yeah.
35:23If I wouldn't sell it before, I sure won't sell it now.
35:24Yeah.
35:25Yeah.
35:26Yeah.
35:27Yeah.
35:28Yeah.
35:29Yeah.
35:30Yeah.
35:31Yeah.
35:32Yeah.
35:33Yeah.
35:34Yeah.
35:35Yeah.
35:36A lot of the metal on this car was rushed out and need to be replaced.
35:37We've got some guys all the way from Detroit, Michigan and San Diego.
35:39Oh, Mark and Dan.
35:40Yeah.
35:41Thank you so much.
35:42I've heard of you guys.
35:43Yeah.
35:44Do you guys from the Bronco Graveyard?
35:45Yes.
35:46Yeah.
35:47I Googled you guys.
35:48You guys are like the Calvary coming in.
35:50Yeah.
35:51We supplied on the Broncos Pacific.
35:52Yeah.
35:53Yeah.
35:54Yeah.
35:55Yeah.
35:56Yeah.
35:57Yeah.
35:58Yeah.
35:59Yeah.
36:00Yeah.
36:01Yeah.
36:02Yeah.
36:03Yeah.
36:04Yeah.
36:05Yeah.
36:06There's a bunch of big parts of the truck and we enjoyed working on it and hope you enjoy
36:09it.
36:10Yeah.
36:11And there's more guys.
36:12Appreciate it, man.
36:13No problem.
36:14The crew wants to meet the man he would never sell his Bronco.
36:17Congratulations.
36:18Thanks for coming on.
36:19I can't believe you came from Indiana to work on the car, man.
36:22Oh, yeah.
36:23It's fun.
36:24I have you.
36:25Come on.
36:26Come on.
36:27Thanks so much.
36:28Seriously, you guys hit a miracle.
36:29The miracle is all about the unreal time warp this Bronco now finds itself in.
36:35It's incredibly cool simply by being incredibly faithful to its 1968 roots.
36:39Of course, there's nothing stock about what's under the hood, an engine that's about to
36:44give Miles yet another surprise.
36:46How you doing, man?
36:47How you doing, Miles?
36:48Thank you so much.
36:49Thank you so much.
36:50Are you excited to see what's under the hood?
36:51Oh, I can't wait.
36:52Yeah.
36:53Holy Moses.
36:54Roush has delivered you number 11 on that 327.
36:59You've got your own nameplate, your vehicle ID number, your date code, your horsepower
37:12rating of 410.
37:13Oh, that's a lot bigger than before.
37:15You've got yourself probably the coolest sleeper Bronco in the country right now.
37:21That's so amazing.
37:22Ready to hear it?
37:23I'm so ready.
37:29Come on, let's go inside.
37:46I'm going to tell you a little bit about the interior.
37:48The guys from Build Done Interiors did it for us.
37:50They've done a bunch of our overhaul and builds and they didn't spare any of their talents on
37:56this thing.
37:57Don't forget the audio.
37:58Well, obviously, we knew you were a musician.
38:00Right.
38:01We wanted to give you some good sound.
38:02So we got a sticker.
38:03But obviously, we want to keep this fairly original looking inside.
38:06Right, yeah.
38:07So what we did is we tried to hide everything.
38:08Well, I was working on hiding the speakers in the front and making your woofer enclosure.
38:12Joe and Jeff were working on the rear speakers.
38:14So everything's hidden.
38:15All hidden.
38:19There's more in the back.
38:26Now, as you can see here, John used Chip's idea to customize the subwoofer enclosure out
38:31of a gas tank.
38:32So it's kind of stuck in there.
38:33Are you kidding me?
38:34Who did what?
38:35Pretty cool, huh?
38:36Where's John?
38:37John put it together.
38:38That is sick.
38:39It's Chip's idea.
38:40As you said, we know that you're a musician, so we got you a little something extra courtesy
38:44of Fender USA.
38:45And, of course, this is custom painted by Chip Foose.
38:49Oh, my good lord, man.
38:53I'd say it's a perfect match, huh?
38:58Let me grab this for you before you pass out.
39:01Wow.
39:02It's hard not to pass out when you think that one week ago, this Bronco was a certified
39:11bucket of rust.
39:12Now, it's a certified stunner, complete with its own cool and color-matched electric guitar.
39:18And, of course, there's also that Roush engine and more new gear than Miles could ever imagine,
39:23making this Bronco perfect for a musician in love with a classic.
39:27From the bottom of my heart, I thank you, and my family thanks you, and all of my family,
39:33because they're really going to enjoy it.
39:35It's not just me.
39:36It's not just for me.
39:37It's for my wife, for my kids, for my nieces and nephews.
39:38And so it's like a debt I can't pay back, and I really appreciate it.
39:42There's one person you have to thank above all else.
39:45You saw that Bronco as a member of the family, and now that it's reborn, he has something he
40:13wants us to know.
40:16My name's Miles, and I've just been overhauled.
40:23Man, was he tricked.
40:24Now his ride is tricked out.
40:26So let's go give it a spin.
40:30Next time, it could be you in sheer disbelief.
40:32I just can't believe it.
40:35It just sounds beautiful.
40:37It sounds great.
40:41That's awesome, man.
40:45It's a machine that was put into a time machine.
40:51So I love you, Chrissy, and thank you so much for pulling off the ultimate Frank.
40:56And you got me good.
40:58You got me really good.
40:59Catch you next time on Overhauling.
41:21See you next time.
41:22Bye.
41:23Thanks for having me.
41:24You're gonna need me.
41:25Bye.
41:26Bye.
41:28Bye.
41:29Bye.
41:30Bye.
41:32Bye.
41:35Bye.
41:36Bye.
41:37Bye.
41:38Bye.
41:39Bye.
41:40Bye.
41:41Bye.
41:43Bye.
41:44Bye.
41:46Bye.
41:47Bye.
