00:00Thank you, Deesha. Good evening, Trinidad and Tobago. I'm Rochelle Edwards. Happy Emancipation Day in advance.
00:07Now, here's what you need to know about your weather.
00:09We're starting off with what happened today. Parts of Tobago, Northern and Eastern Trinidad experienced briefed isolated showers, some of which were heavy to intense.
00:19As the morning and afternoon progressed, similar pattern of isolated showers continued until 3 o'clock this afternoon.
00:26Moving on to conditions in Port of Spain. Presently, TV6's Weather Center is saying that downtown is mostly clear with temperatures at 31 degrees Celsius.
00:36We also have winds coming southeast at 6 knots and there is 71% humidity in the atmosphere.
00:42Now, taking a look at tonight, tonight will be partly cloudy at times with showers over a few areas.
00:48There's a low chance of heavy showers or thunderstorms.
00:51Trinidad will have a minimum temperature of 24 degrees Celsius and Tobago will experience 25 degrees.
00:58And for tomorrow, tomorrow is looking bright.
01:01The Met Office is forecasting generally sunny conditions with the likelihood of a few intervals of cloudiness and showers over some areas.
01:10There is also a low to medium chance of isolated thunderstorm activity favoring the western half of Trinidad.
01:16Maximum temperatures are 32 degrees in Trinidad and 31 in Tobago.
01:22So, walk with your umbrellas just in case those scattered showers catch you.
01:27We don't want that beautiful African wear to get wet.
01:31And for our weekend, we're going to have cloudy periods with showers on Saturday, interrupting our sunshine, especially during the morning.
01:39There is also a medium chance of isolated thunderstorm activity.
01:43On Sunday, showers may pay us to visit again, but conditions are expected to remain mostly sunny.
01:49There's a low chance of isolated thunderstorm activity over Trinidad.
01:54On Saturday, maximum temperatures are 31 degrees in Trinidad and 30 in Tobago.
01:58And on Sunday, maximum temperatures are 32 in Trinidad and 31 in Tobago.
02:04The long weekend has started, so I know everyone is looking to head to either Maracas, Las Cuevas, or any beach of your choice.
02:11So, let's see what our seas are looking like.
02:14Seas are moderate with waves up to 1.5 meters in open waters and below 1 meter occasionally choppy in sheltered areas.
02:22Let's check in on our sun times.
02:24Sunrise is at 5.54 in Trinidad and it was set at 6.29.
02:28In Tobago, sunrise is at 5.50 and it was set at 6.27.
