00:00Thank you, Vash. Good evening, Trinidad and Tobago. You know why I'm smiling because it's Friday, but before we start
00:08the weekend festivities, let's take a look at the weather. Here's what we can expect tonight.
00:14Tonight will be generally fair, becoming partly cloudy towards early morning with occasional showery swells over a few areas. We
00:22have minimum temperatures at 24 degrees in Trinidad and 25 in Tobago.
00:27And those same conditions will continue into our good, good Saturday. That is fair skies with intervals of showers, mainly
00:35during the morning and early afternoon with temperatures of 31 degrees in Trinidad and 30 degrees in Tobago.
00:42But conditions will improve over the next couple of days with more sunshine coming our way, along with some breeze
00:50and a few brief isolated showers. Perfect weather that will keep things balanced. You know, not too much heat and
00:57not too much rain.
00:58Now, both days will have maximum temperatures of 31 degrees in Trinidad and 30 degrees over in Tobago.
01:05To our sun times now, in Trinidad, sunrises at 617 and 614 in Tobago and sunset at 616 in Trinidad
01:14and 612 in Tobago.
01:16Now, we have to remember that the hazardous sea salute is still in effect until Monday.
01:21So, whatever beach plans you have, here's what our seas are surfing up tomorrow.
01:26Seas will be rough with waves 2.5 meters to 3 meters in open waters and 1 meter to 1
01:32.5 meters, occasionally choppy and sheltered areas.
01:36It is now time for your Thai times.
01:49With all that's going on in the world today, here's a quick did you know.
01:54Did you know that bombings and modern warfare cause severe and long-lasting environmental damage, often called a silent casualty
02:03of war?
02:04These conflicts have led to infrastructure collapse, toxic contamination of soil and water, heavy air pollution, and massive carbon emissions.
02:14Warfare also destroys ecosystems, wildlife, and farmland, while waste systems break down, causing further pollution.
02:22In the long term, unexploded ordnance, reconstruction emissions, and deliberate destruction of resources leave lasting environmental harm that can affect
02:34ecosystems and communities for generations.
02:37However, with global awareness, stronger environmental protections, and committed restoration efforts, damaged ecosystems can gradually recover and rebuild.
02:48Well, now you know.
02:50It's now time to have a quick laugh.
02:53This young lady just wants to get inside.
02:55Take a look.
02:57I'm sorry.
03:07Help me!
03:08Help me!
03:12Well, that's all for weather tonight.
03:14But before I go, I want to say happy International Women's Day in advance to all the ladies out there.
03:21And as Michelle Obama once said, there's no limit to what we as women can accomplish.
03:27We are so magical.
03:29I'll now hand you over to Sachin with sports.
