00:00 Good morning. A mixed bag again today. We've seen some snow through the night over the
00:05 mountains of northern Scotland and further snow flurries here over the hills through
00:10 the rest of the day. Rain at low levels but feeling pretty cold in that rain with the
00:14 breeze coming in from the North Sea. For many it's a dry start but rain is spreading up
00:19 across southern England into parts of Wales, the Midlands and across Northern Ireland through
00:23 the day. A wetter day compared to yesterday across the southeast but parts of East Anglia
00:28 out through Lincolnshire, East Yorkshire mostly dry and bright actually with some sunny spells
00:32 and a brighter day compared to yesterday for South Wales and southwest England too. There
00:37 will be some sunny spells coming through here, maybe just some showers to follow as well.
00:42 Temperature wise, well, struggling to get to double digits for many areas. Perhaps with
00:47 a bit of brightness in eastern England we could get to 12 Celsius but say for many 9,
00:52 10 and for Scotland and Northern Ireland still some cold air here so 5, 6, 7 at the very
00:58 best and feeling colder with the outbreaks of rain which will continue to spread back
01:02 into central and southern Scotland this evening. Again as it hits the colder air we'll see
01:07 more hill snow here through the night. Generally turning a bit drier across England and Wales,
01:12 some decent clearer spells but then look at this, a whole raft of showers then coming
01:16 in to Northern Ireland, Wales and southwest England by dawn. Temperatures again well down
01:21 into single figures, a touch lower in the countryside. Should start with a bit of sunshine
01:25 across the Midlands and eastern England on Wednesday but the showers will get going.
01:30 The clouds will bubble up, heavy showers in the west spiralling their way up towards southern
01:35 Scotland and into eastern England come the afternoon. It won't rain all day, it will
01:39 be a case of one minute it's dry, the next you've got a heavy downpour. Those showers
01:44 blown along by a fairly brisk wind. Some decent spells of sunshine and skies will brighten
01:49 over northern Scotland by the afternoon compared to the morning. But you can see by the pattern
01:54 of the showers where the low pressure is sitting just out to the west. The winds are coming
01:58 up from the south or southwest but it's not bringing mild air. Temperatures again struggling
02:03 to get to average for the time of year, 10 to 12 at best. A little higher perhaps in
02:08 Scotland compared to today but still on the chilly side generally speaking. And low pressure
02:14 will continue to dominate our weather even into the build up for the Easter weekend.
