The NFL trade deadline is approaching, and analysts have identified three Miami Dolphins players as trade candidates: Austin Jackson, Josh Uche, and Zach Sieler. Hoch, Crowder, and Solana break down each potential deal, discuss Miami's draft capital strategy under General Manager Jon-Eric Sullivan, and evaluate whether trading veteran assets makes sense for the franchise's long-term future.

00:00So the NFL trade deadline is just a couple weeks away,
00:03and the Finnsider wrote about three potential Dolphins who could be traded.
00:10It says, General Manager John Eric Sullivan has already shown a willingness
00:14to sacrifice short-term talent for long-term assets.
00:17Last offseason, he dealt Jalen Waddell to the Broncos, blah, blah, blah.
00:21National analysts have identified several Dolphins as potential trade candidates
00:27with three names appearing more often than the rest.
00:32Austin Jackson, Josh Uche, and Zach Seeler.
00:40Austin Jackson's tough because he's on the last year of an expiring contract.
00:44Well, so that's like they have a little roundup of what people have written,
00:47like Alan Pupart from SI.
00:49Jackson is scheduled to become a free agent after the season.
00:52He's got a low-base salary that would make him attractive financially to other teams.
00:58Yeah, and he's struggling too.
00:59Let's bring in a bad tackle.
01:01I don't know about Austin Jackson.
01:03Not for the Dolphins would be great, but for another team.
01:05CBS Sports says tackles are always in demand,
01:08and he would be an affordable half-season rental.
01:14Because you're really, you're not on the hook for it after this season.
01:17Like, if you need a tackle for the rest of the season, I mean, you know, he's not,
01:21I mean, he's serviceable.
01:23I'm not telling you he's a pro bowler, but, like, he's serviceable.
01:26He's bad this year.
01:27You know what?
01:28You should trade for him if you dislike your quarterback.
01:35Go get him.
01:36Kyle Krabs says, given his durability concerns and lack of a low-end contract,
01:41Jackson is the makings of a perfect insurance rental at offensive tackle by a contending team.
01:48He says potential buyer.
01:50The Jaguars, which is currently without a standout,
01:53is currently without standout tackle, Anton Harrison.
01:57Yeah.
01:58Oh, I love it for the Dolphins.
02:00Then Josh Uche.
02:02Let's see, Dan Graziano at ESPN.
02:04He says he's a seven-year veteran who's playing well for a team in his first year
02:09of a significant rebuild.
02:11If the Dolphins get the opportunity to turn this signing into a useful draft pick,
02:16it's not hard at all to imagine them jumping on it.
02:20Yes.
02:22And everybody's going to go.
02:23I just saw somebody say, why are they trading?
02:26To get assets, to get picks.
02:28Yeah.
02:28They're not trading to bring anybody in.
02:30They've got salary cap.
02:32They've got picks.
02:32They can really reformulate this team after this season.
02:37They need more picks.
02:37They need young guys on cheap, inexpensive deals.
02:41And I don't think they're in any – I don't think the Dolphins, and Sully specifically,
02:45will be in the business of handing out long-term money to people he did not bring in,
02:51evaluate, or draft.
02:53Like, I don't think that's –
02:54And the guys they have drafted have been pretty good.
02:56Yeah.
02:56Yeah.
02:56There's no Jalen Ramsey's.
02:58There's no Tyreek Hill's next year.
03:00I'm with you, Solana.
03:01They're not giving nobody no $200 million deals next year.
03:04They did it.
03:05They gave – the guys that they valued, that they liked, they gave money.
03:09Aaron Brewer, Jordan Brooks, Devon Achan.
03:12And it says about Zach Seeler, like Antoine Staley says,
03:17with no guaranteed money remaining on his contract after the 2026 season,
03:22the Dolphins could release Seeler next offseason.
03:24Ideally, they'd like at least an early day three pick,
03:28possibly from a contending team that needs interior defensive help.
03:32Yeah.
03:33And Seeler's the best of that list by far.
03:36Yes.
03:36Jason Lockenforo says, while Seeler's now in his 30s,
03:40he continues to draw double teams at the line of scrimmage
03:43despite limited help around him.
03:44As Miami seeks to accumulate draft capital,
03:48Seeler becomes a prime trading chip.
03:51Yep.
03:52When's draft trade deadline?
03:54November –
03:55It's around the corner.
03:577th, maybe?
03:58November 7th or 10th, something like that.
04:00And like I say, Seeler's the best on that list,
04:03but I don't see Zach Seeler as the mainstay of a top defense
04:09or building anything around him.
04:11So get something for a 30-plus-year-old D-tackle.
04:13That would be great as well.
04:14The 10th of November.
