00:00In this video, I will show you how to fix Microsoft Store not downloading apps.
00:05So if you currently have the Microsoft Store opened, what I would recommend doing is closing
00:09this down first of all. And the first thing you're going to want to check is your internet
00:13connections. Make sure you are connected to the internet and that there's no problems with your
00:18internet service provider. Also, if you are using a VPN, like for example, something like Proton,
00:24try switching the VPN off as sometimes this can interfere and stop apps from downloading
00:29correctly on the Microsoft Store. If there's no problems with your internet connection,
00:34the next thing I would recommend checking is the storage space available on your computer.
00:38So if you actually come down to your search box in the task at the bottom, type file explorer into
00:43here and then open up your file explorer underneath best match. Now once you've done that, just come
00:48over to the left hand side and click on this PC and you can see how much space you have
00:53available.
00:54So make sure you do have enough space as again, that can be a reason why some apps might not
00:59be downloading from the Microsoft Store. After checking your storage and your internet connection,
01:04if there's no issues there, then what I would recommend doing is attempting to repair the
01:09Microsoft Store. To do that from your desktop, what you want to do is come to your search box in
01:13the
01:13task bar at the bottom, in the search box type store. And then what you want to do is right
01:18click
01:19onto the Microsoft Store app underneath best match. From this menu that comes up, come and click onto app
01:24settings. And that's going to open up a window like this. From here, scroll down a bit to the reset
01:31section. And what you can do is tick the box here to repair. First of all, it's just going to
01:36take
01:36a minute or two to run through and try to repair any problems. Once that's done, you're going to see
01:40a tick next to this. So what you can do is close this down, restart your computer, see if the
01:45store's
01:46opening. If not, you can come back to this screen. And if you actually click onto reset underneath, if the
01:52store is not still downloading apps, if you click on reset, that's going to reset the app. And after
01:57resetting it, the Microsoft Store should now be working again, and it should now be able to download
