00:16or just simply want to start fresh, this guide will show you how to safely access reset options
00:21and choose the right settings.

00:33Now to do this from your desktop, what you want to do is come down to your search box
00:37in the task at the bottom, and in here you want to type settings, underneath best match,
00:42you should see settings come up, give it a click, and once you've got your settings window
00:46opened, come over to the menu on the left hand side and click onto system.
00:51From the system section, what you want to do is just scroll down on this section to a option
00:56called recovery, down here, give that a click and what that's going to do is take you to
01:01a screen like this.
01:02From here, come down to the recovery option section and click the button here to reset
01:07PC.
01:08Now you've got two options, what you can do is keep your files, so that's going to remove
01:13your apps and settings but your personal files will be kept.
01:16But if you want to completely factory reset your computer, you want to select the remove
01:20everything option.
01:22Once you've done it, it's going to ask how you would like to reinstall Windows.
01:25You've got the option for a cloud download or local reinstall.
01:28I would recommend just going for a local reinstall, which is going to reinstall Windows directly
01:33from your computer or laptop.
01:35Once that's done, just click next at the bottom and it's just going to take a minute to get
01:39things ready.
01:40What's going to happen next is a screen is going to come up just summarizing what's going
01:43to happen when you reset this computer or laptop.
01:46So just read through this, make sure that you are happy with everything.
01:50And then what you can do is come down and click the reset button.
01:53Now just a note, it does take some time for your PC to completely factory reset.
01:57So if you are using a laptop, make sure you are plugged into a power source and not just
02:02running off the battery so that your laptop doesn't turn off during the factory reset process.
