00:00In this video, I will show you how to download apps on a DAO laptop.
00:05To get started from your desktop, what you want to do is come down to your search box
00:09in the task bar at the bottom and in here you want to type store.
00:13Now underneath best match, you should see Microsoft store come up, give that a click
00:17and that's going to open up the Microsoft store.
00:19The Microsoft store is where you can download things like apps and games from.
00:22So if there's an app you're looking for in particular, what you can do is use the search
00:26box at the top.
00:27For example, let's search for Facebook and we can see we've got the Facebook app here.
00:32So if we give this a click, it's going to take us to the app page and you're going to
00:35see
00:35the blue install button, give that a click.
00:38As you can see, that's going to prepare to download and what it's going to do is download and install
00:42that app on your DAO laptop.
00:45What you can also do is come over to the left hand side and on this menu, you're going to
00:49find apps.
00:50So if you give that a click, that's going to take you to the app section of the Microsoft
00:54store.
00:54And from here, you can scroll through all the different apps available and just browse
00:58and see if there's any you want to download.
01:01Now, there's also a category section at the top.
01:03So for example, you can see we've got productivity apps, utilities, entertainment and so on and
01:09so forth.
01:10Now, for example, if we click onto developer tools and it's going to show us all the developer
01:15tools apps, which are available on the Microsoft store.
01:18Some of these are free.
01:19Some of these are going to be paid for so you can see it says free in the bottom right
01:23hand corner for Python.
01:24But if we scroll down, you can see we've got things like console deck and Foxmorph, which
01:29are paid apps.
01:30So again, all you need to do is find the app that you want to download and it's going to
01:34say get to install.
01:35Give that a click and then just wait for it to download or install on your DAO laptop.
01:40So that is how to download apps on your DAO laptop.
