00:00In this video I will show you where to find the file location of an app in Windows 11.
00:06Now as an example I'm going to use Google Chrome but you can use this for any application.
00:11The first thing you're going to want to do is actually open the app up and once you've
00:15done that what you can do is just minimize the app come down to your search box in the
00:19task bar at the bottom and in here you want to type task manager.
00:23Open up task manager underneath best match and what that's going to do is open your task
00:27manager from here you can use the search box at the top and type the name of the app into
00:32here and
00:33then what you want to do is click the small arrow next to the app and find the executable file
00:39which
00:39is the .exe file. Right click onto it and then what you want to do is click onto open file
00:45location
00:45and this is going to show you the app's file location. Now another way to do this is if we
00:50close down task manager you want to locate the app first of all so again we're going to use Google
00:55Chrome and what you want to do is right click onto the app and you want to look for properties
00:59in
01:00this menu that comes up. Click onto properties that's going to open up the app properties window
01:04and from here if you look in the target path underneath shortcuts so you want to come up to the
01:09top make sure you're on the shortcut tab this is going to show you again the file location and the
01:15folder location for that app. So that is where to find the file location of an app in Windows 11.
