00:10responding properly again, whether the Windows key suddenly stopped working, doesn't open a

00:25easy tech guides. Now the first thing you can try to fix this is from your desktop. If you come
00:31down
00:31to your search box in the task at the bottom type settings and then open up settings underneath best
00:37match. Once you've done that, what you need to do is come over to the menu on the left hand
00:41side and
00:42click onto accessibility. Now in here, you want to find keyboard. So if you just scroll down to the
00:48interaction section, you should see keyboard here, give it a click. And in here, if filter keys is
00:54turned on, make sure to turn this off. And then what you can do is close this down. Now once
00:59you've done that, what you want to do from your desktop is come down to your taskbar, right click
01:03onto a blank space of your taskbar and then click to open up your task manager. Once your task manager
01:09is opened, come up to the search box at the top. In here, you want to type Windows Explorer. And
01:14if you
01:15see anything come up, just right click on this and click on to restart. Once that's done, give it a
01:20try
01:20and see if your windows key now works. If it's not working, what you can try next is updating your
01:26keyboard drivers. So to do that from your desktop, what you want to do is come down to your search
01:31box
01:32again. And this time you want to type device manager, open up your device manager underneath
01:37best match. And that's going to open up a window like this. From here, you want to find keyboards and
01:43then click the small arrow next to keyboards. What you then need to do is select your keyboard from here.
01:49So mine's going to be this one as I'm on a laptop, click to select it, then right click,
01:54and you're going to see an option to update driver. Give that a click. That's going to open a window
01:59like this. From here, you want to select search automatically for drivers, and it's going to
02:04locate any available updates as it could be that your keyboard drivers are out of date, which is
02:10causing it not to work correctly. You can see in my case that the best drivers are already installed,
02:15but if they're out of date for yourself, it's going to take you through the steps to
02:18update your keyboard drivers and that should fix the problem and get your windows key working again.
