00:16Now to do this from your desktop, all you need to do is come down to your search box in
00:20the
00:20taskbar at the bottom and in here you want to type settings. Underneath best match, you should
00:26see your system settings come up, give that a click and that's going to open up your Windows
00:30system settings. Now from here, if you come over to the menu on the left hand side, what you want
00:35to
00:35do is come and click onto privacy and security and then what you need to do is come and click
00:40onto
00:40Windows security. What you then want to do is click onto virus and threat protection and that's going
00:46to open up the Windows security window. Now once you've done this, if you scroll down a bit to the
00:51virus and threat protection settings, you're going to see a blue manage settings link, give that
00:56click and that's going to take you to a screen like this. From here to disable your Windows
01:01defender, all you need to do is turn the switch off for real-time protection. So just simply click
01:06the switch and there's going to be a permission pop-up which is going to come up and as you

01:10see what it's going to do is come up with a pop-up down here as well saying that virus
01:14protection is
01:14turned off. Tap or click to turn on Microsoft defender. So this is now going to be disabled and
