00:22Let us pray.
00:25Praise, honor, and glory be to you, O Christ, who, when standing before Pilate, kept silent at all the unjust
00:34accusations and slanders of the Jews, and as a gentle lamb that did not open its mouth, did not contradict
00:42them when they brought forward their charges against you.
00:46Give me grace never to be disturbed by the false accusations of others, but may I overcome every injury by
00:53silence and meekness.
00:55Give me the grace of perfect humility, so that I may never desire praise nor refuse any measure of contempt.
01:04Praise, honor, and glory be to you, O Christ, you, lamb without spot, against whom the pious Pharisees and scribes
01:14raged with obstinate hatred.
01:17For although Pilate testified that he found no cause of death in you, yet they would not be satisfied with
01:24anything except your death.
01:28Grant me grace to imitate your innocence and patience, that I may both lead a godly life, and for so
01:36doing, if I am spoken of evenly, that I may remain at rest in you, giving way to no indignation,
01:45but giving thanks to you in all adversity.
01:50Praise, honor, and glory be to you, O Christ, who will lead in the greatest of indignity, in the manner
01:59of a wicked criminal, through the middle of the city, from one judgment seat to another, and from Pilate to
02:06Herod and back again, amidst the noise and shouts of the people.
02:11Give me grace never, nor to be exasperated by slander, nor to be exasperated by slander, may I never feel
02:20any false shame at being despised, but may I receive everything in meekness, and endure all things in silence for
02:28your honor, that, by the assistance of your grace, I may in patience possess my soul.
02:36Praise, honor, and glory be to you, O Christ, who, when Herod asked you many vain and foolish questions, and
02:44when you were falsely wounded in different ways by priest and scribe, humbly kept a meet and becoming silence.
02:53Give me grace to restrain my tongue in a manner well pleasing to you, do not permit me to utter
03:00hurtful words, do not permit me to be taken up with fruitless stories, but give me grace to say what
03:07is right, profitable, and honest, according to your will.
03:13May I behold the sin of evil speaking, and be always glad to think and speak well of any man.
03:23Praise, honor, and glory be to you, O Christ, who condemned by your silence the foolish curiosity of Herod, and
03:31who would not gratify his curious eyes by the performance of any miracle, because he did not have his own
03:39salvation at heart,
03:40and did there in this way teach us to avoid all ostentation before the great ones of this world, pour
03:50into my heart a spirit of deep humility, mortify and quench within me any desire for vain glory.
03:58Grant that I may never do anything in order to gain praise of man, but may always act with a
04:04single eye upon the glory of your most holy name, and may come before you day by day in a
04:11true spirit of humility and meekness.
04:17Praise, honor, and glory be to you, O Christ, who did not refuse to be set to nothing by Herod
04:24and his men of war, nor to be clothed in a white garment, and to be mocked and laughed at
04:29as though a fool and a madman.
04:32Give me grace, O Lord, to choose rather to be an outcast with you than to be glorious in the
04:38world.
04:39May I think it better and more honorable to suffer reproach for your name than to prosper in the vain
04:46honors of the world.
04:49Give me grace that, truly acknowledging my own sins and my own unworthiness, I may be as nothing in my
04:56own sight, but may always despise and accuse myself and daily lament over my own weakness and wretchedness.
05:06Praise, honor, and glory be to you, O Christ, who was sent back with shame, clothed in a false garment,
05:12from Herod the Pilate, and in all things obeyed your enemies going backwards and forwards according to their pleasure.
05:20Grant that I may not shrink from being despised, nor refuse obedience even to those who wish nothing but bad
05:29for me.
05:31Give me grace to have no feelings for the things of this world, but to think of and care for
05:37and love you alone.
05:39May you alone be my honor, my delight, my love, my glory, and my joy. Amen.
05:50O Lord, open our lips, and our mouths will sing your praise.
06:02O be joyful in the Lord, O be joyful in the Lord, O be glad, serve the Lord with gladness,
06:12and come in voice, present, with your song.
06:19Be sure that the Lord, he is God.
06:25O beigan in the Lord, we if we see, as in may of Linux, and lost we are shen't,
06:31who we are his people and the sheep of his master.
06:38O, do we obey him to this feast with thy spring,
06:44and in joy送 his cross with grace?
06:48We thank God to him and speak to the Lord of his name.
06:58For the Lord is gracious, his mercy is everlasting,
07:07and his truth endureth from generation to generation.
07:20Glory be to the Father, and to the Father, and to the Holy Ghost,
07:32as it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be, world without any joy.
07:48Amen.
07:59I will cry unto God with my voice.
08:05And he shall walk unto me.
08:20In the time of my trouble, I sought my Lord.
08:28My soul ran and seized not in the night season.
08:35My soul refused comfort.
08:43When I am in happiness, I will think upon God.
08:52When my heart is bent, I will complain.
09:08I am so feeble that I cannot speak.
09:18I have considered the days above, and I yield that above.
09:34The Lord's blessing, O Lord.
09:40The Lord's blessing, O Lord.
10:01And will he be no more entreated
10:09Is his mercy clean come forever
10:16And is his promise come out on it
10:22To a head forevermore
10:28Hath God forgotten to me, gracious
10:35And will he shut up his loving kind words in displeasure
10:45And I said, it is my own infirmity
10:55But I will remember the years of my life
11:00And of the most highest
11:06I will remember the works of the Lord
11:12And call to mind my work as of old time
11:23I will be brought so of all my works
11:31And my talking shall be of thy doings
11:39My way, O God, is for me
11:46Who is so great a God, my power, O God?
11:55Thou art the Lord that do and hold us
12:01And hast declared thy power among our people
12:27The waters saw thee, O God, the waters saw thee
12:34And were afraid
12:36The depths of the trouble
12:41The trust what has brought
12:45And the air has got it
12:48And the air has returned blood
12:53The wise of the thunder
12:57Was turned on the launch
13:00The light which shone upon the ground
13:04The earth was blown and shone with all
13:11My way is in the sea
13:15And my paths in the grave is gorgeous
13:22And I've heard steps are not long
13:29Thou leadest my people, my chief
13:37I have heard the waters turn there on
13:46Glory be to the Father
13:49And to the Son
13:53And to the Holy Ghost
13:57As it was in the beginning
14:01It's not ever stopping
14:06But without death
14:10Amen
14:24A reading from the Gospel according to Saint Luke
14:27Chapter 8
14:30It came about after a short time
14:32That he went through the town and country
14:34Giving the good news of the kingdom of God
14:36And with him were the twelve
14:38Certain women who had been made free
14:41From evil spirits and diseases
14:44Mary named Magdalene
14:46From whom seven evil spirits had gone out
14:50Joanna the wife of Susa
14:52Herod's chief house servant
14:55Susanna and a number of others
14:57Who gave him of their wealth for his needs
15:02The great number of people came together
15:04And men from every town went out to him
15:07He gave them teaching in the form of a story
15:10A man went out to put in seed
15:12And while he was doing it
15:14Some was dropped by the wayside
15:15And it was crushed underfoot
15:17And was taken by the birds of heaven
15:21Some went on the rock
15:22When it came up it became dry and dead
15:25Because it had no water
15:28Some went amongst thorns
15:30And the thorns came up with it
15:32And it had no room for grip
15:35Some falling on good earth
15:37Came up and gave fruit
15:39A hundred times as much
15:42With these words he said in a loud voice
15:44He who has ears
15:46Let him give ear
15:50His disciples called questions to him
15:52About the point of the story
15:54He said
15:55To you is given knowledge
15:57Of the secrets of the kingdom of God
16:00But to others they are given in stories
16:02So that seeing they may not see
16:04And although they hear
16:05They will not make sense to them
16:09Now this is the point of the story
16:11The seed is the word of God
16:14Those by the side of the road
16:15Who give ear
16:16And then the evil one comes
16:19And takes away the word from their hearts
16:21So that they may not have faith
16:23And get salvation
16:26Those on the rock
16:27Are those who with joy
16:30Give hearing to the word
16:31But having no root
16:33They have faith for a time
16:34But when the test comes
16:35They give up
16:38Those which went amongst the thorns
16:40Are those who give hearing
16:41And go on their way
16:43But are overcome by the cares
16:44And wealth
16:45And the pleasures of life
16:47And they give no fruit
16:50Those in the good earth
16:51Are those who
16:52Having given ear to the word
16:53Keep it with a good and true heart
16:56And in quiet strength
16:57Give fruit
17:00No one lights a lamp
17:01And then covers it with a jar
17:02Or puts it under a bed
17:04But puts it on a lamp stand
17:06So that those who come in
17:08Can see the light
17:10Nothing is hidden
17:11That will not be revealed
17:12And nothing concealed
17:14That will not be made known
17:15And brought to light
17:17Listen carefully
17:18For whoever has will
17:20Will be given more
17:24But whoever does not have
17:26Even what he thinks he has
17:28Will be taken away from him
17:32Now Jesus' mother
17:34And his brothers came to him
17:35But they could not get near to him
17:37Because of the crowd
17:38And so he was told
17:40Your mother and your brothers
17:41Are standing outside
17:42Wanting to see
17:45He replied to them
17:46My mother and my brothers
17:48Are those who hear
17:49The word of God
17:50And do it
17:55Now on one of those days
17:57He entered into a boat
17:58Himself and his disciples
18:00And he said to them
18:01Let us go to the other side
18:03Of the lake
18:05And so they launched out
18:06But as they sailed
18:07He fell asleep
18:09A wind and storm
18:10Came down on the lake
18:12And they were taking on
18:13Dangerous amounts of water
18:16They came to him
18:17And awoke him saying
18:18Master, master
18:19We are dying
18:21He awoke
18:22And rebuked the wind
18:23And the raging of the water
18:25And they ceased
18:25And it was calm
18:27He said to them
18:29Where is your faith?
18:32Being afraid
18:33They marveled
18:33Saying to one another
18:34Who is this then
18:36That he commands even
18:38The winds and the water
18:39And they obeyed him
18:41They arrived in the country
18:43Of the Gadarenes
18:44Which is opposite Gadarene
18:47This is the word of the Lord
18:50Thanks be to God
18:56Jesus set a strong example here
18:58For it is clear
18:59That he was constantly
19:00About his business
19:02We read that he went
19:03From town to town
19:04Preaching
19:05Taking the twelfth with him
19:06So that they might be
19:08Further educated
19:08Whilst they were on the road
19:11Thus
19:12We can form the impression
19:13That Jesus never
19:14Stopped talking
19:15He was either preaching
19:16To the world at large
19:18Or he was indulging
19:19In private tuition
19:20For those who were
19:22Closest to him
19:24Not only was Jesus
19:26Constantly preaching
19:26But he was constantly
19:28On the move
19:29Crossing backwards
19:30And forwards
19:30Across the countryside
19:31So that the entire area
19:33Was covered
19:36Sometimes
19:36We read that he was
19:38Given a big welcome
19:39And sometimes not
19:40But he was constantly
19:42On the move
19:44There was no excuse
19:45For anyone to say
19:46But I never had a chance
19:48To meet him
19:52We are also told
19:53How Jesus was supported
19:54Whilst he was traveling
19:56For we read in verses
19:572 and 3
19:58That Mary Magdalene
19:59Joanna and Susanna
20:01Gave up their wealth
20:02To meet his needs
20:05Wherever possible
20:06We should always try
20:07And give freely
20:08To support those
20:09Who have dedicated
20:10Their lives
20:11To the Lord's work
20:12At least
20:13Ensuring that they are
20:14Clothed
20:15Fed
20:15And given shelter
20:18Matthew 10
20:195-15
20:20Also recalls
20:22The instructions
20:22He gave to the disciples
20:24When they were sent out
20:25To the towns
20:26And the villages
20:26In pairs
20:28To further the work
20:30We might safely assume
20:32That these were based
20:33On the principles
20:34Used by Jesus himself
20:38The servant of Christ
20:39Is tireless
20:40He or she
20:41Is constantly
20:42Engaged in his work
20:43And should be given
20:44Whatever assistance
20:45And support they need
20:46To be able
20:47To continue
20:48This work
20:51This is not the same
20:52As becoming lazy
20:53Or fat off the land
20:54With a substantial
20:55Bank balance
20:57For these things
20:58Are not at all suitable
20:59For a servant of Christ
21:00Who should have no use
21:02Whatsoever
21:02For these things
21:04With a bowl of simple food
21:06A fire for warmth
21:07And a shelter
21:10From the weather
21:13The parable of the sower
21:15Is well known
21:15And is well explained
21:17Here by Jesus
21:18To the disciples
21:20However
21:21Let us set aside
21:22The familiarity
21:24Just for a moment
21:25And ask ourselves
21:26A simple question
21:28Where are we
21:29In the scheme of things
21:30Are we on the path
21:31Or on the fertile soil
21:33Are we being choked
21:34By weeds
21:35Or are we flourishing
21:36How deep
21:38Is our faith rooted
21:42Are we strong enough
21:43To remain in the faith
21:44Even when the going
21:45Gets hot
21:46Under the midday sun
21:47And all around
21:48Wither and fall away
21:51Are we in the first
21:52Flash of growth
21:53But are all show
21:54With nothing under the ground
21:55To support us
21:58Can we fight off
21:59The attacks of the world
22:00Those deadly thistles
22:01Which seem to overcome
22:03Everything but the strongest plant
22:07Let us pray
22:08That our faith
22:08Can establish strong roots
22:11And grows resilient
22:12To all the thorns
22:13That our challenges
22:14Can throw at us
22:20Then in verse 16
22:21We are reminded
22:22That if we light a lamp
22:23We put it in a place
22:24From whence it can shine
22:26Its light over as great
22:27A span as possible
22:29We do not attempt
22:31To hide it
22:31Likewise
22:32We who have received
22:34The light
22:34The gospel
22:35Must allow it
22:37To shine in our lives
22:38So that others
22:39Might also see it
22:40And ask
22:41Whence it comes
22:44If we are Christians
22:45We have a duty
22:46To our Lord
22:47To fly his flag
22:48From our masthead
22:50Yes it is
22:51To invite criticism
22:52And persecution
22:54People may well
22:55Laugh at us
22:56And consider us stupid
22:58But that is a small price
22:59To pay
23:00For our salvation in Christ
23:02Whoever we might be
23:04Let our faith shine
23:05In the darkness
23:06Of the world around us
23:09Secondly we read
23:10That it is impossible
23:11To hide things
23:12Other than for a short time
23:15There are three ways
23:16In which we can try to hide
23:18We can try and hide
23:19Things from ourselves
23:20Or from each other
23:22Or from God
23:25If we attempt
23:26To hide things
23:27From ourselves
23:27It just shows us
23:29How stupid we are
23:30For only a fool
23:31Will try to do this
23:33Suppose we knew
23:34We were unwell
23:35But denied it
23:35To ourselves
23:38What would be the purpose
23:39Other than to deny
23:40Any prospect of treatment
23:42Until it was too late
23:45We could deny
23:46We had the toothache
23:47But no matter
23:48How hard we try
23:49To deny the patently obvious
23:50Sooner or later
23:52We would end up
23:52Like a dentist
23:54The longer we try
23:55To hide
23:56The worse the consequences
24:01We may try to hide
24:02Things from other people
24:03But the truth
24:04Will always come out
24:06Years ago
24:07The father of an old
24:09Friend of mine
24:09Shared a story
24:10Of his two children
24:11Who grew up on the farm
24:13A boy and his
24:13Younger sister
24:16One year the girl
24:17Was given a cloth doll
24:18Stuffed with corn seed
24:20The boy was very jealous
24:22And stole the doll
24:23And buried it
24:24At the bottom of the garden
24:27The doll could not
24:28Be found anywhere
24:30Smugly
24:31The brother thought
24:32He had gotten away
24:33With it
24:35A year later
24:36The father called
24:36The young lad
24:37And took him down
24:38To the bottom of the garden
24:39Where something really
24:40Quite remarkable
24:41Had happened
24:42There was a crop of wheat
24:44Growing in the shape
24:45Of the corn doll
24:48There are also those
24:49Who think they can
24:50Hide from God
24:52However we know
24:53That this is impossible
24:55As Adam and Eve
24:56Found in Genesis 3
24:58Indeed
24:59In Genesis 16-13
25:01We read that God
25:02Is the God
25:02Who sees everything
25:07Then in verse 18
25:08We learn the importance
25:10Of listening
25:12Not only must we hear
25:14But we must listen
25:15Attentively
25:16Those who continue
25:17To listen
25:18And to seek the knowledge
25:19Of God
25:19As everything else in life
25:20Will continue to learn
25:22And expand their understanding
25:24However those who decide
25:26They cannot be bothered
25:27To learn
25:27Will realise
25:28That they start to forget
25:31An aeroplane
25:32For example
25:33Must continue to travel
25:34Forward in excess
25:35Of a certain speed
25:36To remain in the air
25:40If we stop bothering
25:41To learn
25:42Or to keep our bodies
25:43In shrink
25:43We will find ourselves
25:45Drifting backwards
25:46Losing
25:47What we once
25:48Might have had
25:54It is not difficult
25:55To see that
25:56At least
25:56During his lifetime
25:58Jesus' family
25:59Was not in sympathy
26:00With him
26:02Mark 3-21
26:04Tells us
26:05How his family
26:05Came and tried
26:06To restrain him
26:07Because they believed
26:08Him to be mad
26:11In Matthew 10-36
26:12Jesus warns
26:13His followers
26:14That a man's foes
26:15May well be those
26:16Of his own household
26:18And he was speaking
26:19Out of hard
26:19And bitter experience
26:24There is in this passage
26:25A great
26:26And practical truth
26:28It may very well be
26:29That a man
26:30Finds himself
26:30Closer to
26:31The people
26:32Who are not
26:33Related to him
26:34Than he does
26:35To his own
26:35Kid than kin
26:37The deepest relationship
26:39Of life
26:39Is not merely
26:40A blood relationship
26:40It is the relationship
26:42Of mind to mind
26:43And heart to heart
26:45It is when people
26:46Have common aims
26:46Common principles
26:48Common interests
26:48And a common goal
26:50That they really
26:50And truly
26:51Become king
26:55Let us remember
26:56That definition
26:57Of the kingdom
26:58Which we have
26:59Previously worked out
27:00The kingdom of God
27:02Is a society
27:03Upon earth
27:03Where God's will
27:04Is as perfectly done
27:06As it is in heaven
27:08It was Jesus
27:09His supreme quality
27:10That he alone
27:12Succeeded
27:12In fully achieving
27:14The identity
27:15Of his will
27:15And the will of God
27:18Therefore
27:19All those
27:20Whose one aim
27:21In life
27:21Is to make God's will
27:22Their will
27:23Are the true
27:24Kindred of Jesus
27:26We speak of all men
27:27Being the sons of God
27:29And in a very real
27:30And precious sense
27:31That is true
27:32Because God loves
27:34Saint and sinner
27:36But the deepest
27:37Kind of sonship
27:38Is ethically conditioned
27:40It is when a man
27:41Puts his will
27:42In line with God's will
27:43By the help
27:44Of the Holy Spirit
27:45That real kinship
27:47Begins
27:50The Stoics declared
27:51That that was the only way
27:53To happiness
27:53In this life
27:54They had the conviction
27:56That everything that happens
27:57Joy and sorrow
27:58Triumph and disaster
27:59Gain loss
28:00Sunshine and shadow
28:02Was the will of God
28:04When a man refused
28:05To accept it
28:06He battered his head
28:07Against the walls
28:08Of the universe
28:09Bringing himself
28:10Nothing but pain
28:11And trouble
28:12Of the heart
28:16When a man looks up
28:17To God
28:17And says
28:18Do with me
28:19As you wish
28:20He has found the way
28:22To true joy
28:25From this
28:25Two things emerge
28:28There is a loyalty
28:29Which surpasses
28:30All earthly loyalty
28:32There is something
28:33Which takes precedence
28:34Of the dearest things
28:34On earth
28:36And in that sense
28:37Jesus is a demanding
28:38Master
28:39For he will share
28:40A man's heart
28:41With nothing and with no one
28:43Love is necessarily
28:44Exclusive
28:45We can only love
28:47One person at a time
28:48And only serve
28:50One master
28:50At a time
28:55This is hard
28:56But there is this
28:57Great wonder
28:57That when a man
28:59Gives himself
28:59Absolutely to Christ
29:01He becomes one of a family
29:02Whose boundaries
29:03Are the earth
29:05Whatever loss
29:06He may experience
29:07Is more than
29:08Counterbalanced
29:09By his game
29:13In Christ
29:14There is no east
29:14Or west
29:15In him
29:16No north
29:16Or south
29:17But one great
29:18Fellowship of love
29:19Throughout the whole
29:20Wide earth
29:21In him
29:22Shall true hearts
29:24Everywhere
29:24Their high communion
29:26Find
29:26His service
29:28Is the golden call
29:29Close binding
29:30All mankind
29:32Join hands
29:34Then
29:34Brother of the faith
29:35What e'er
29:36Your race
29:37May be
29:37Who serves my father
29:39As a son
29:40Is surely
29:41King
29:42To me
29:44In Christ
29:45Now
29:45Meet both
29:46East and west
29:47In him
29:49Meet north
29:49And south
29:50All Christly
29:51Souls
29:51Are one
29:52In him
29:53Throughout
29:54The whole
29:55Wide earth
29:58The man
29:59Who through
30:00Jesus Christ
30:01Seeks the will
30:02Of God
30:02As entered
30:03Into a family
30:04Which includes
30:04All the saints
30:05In heaven
30:05And in earth
30:10The association
30:11Of Christ
30:12With the boat
30:12With which we are
30:14So familiar
30:14In the gospel
30:15History
30:15Has been preserved
30:16In much of the poetry
30:18The literature
30:18And the art
30:19Of the church
30:21A very old
30:22Sealed ring
30:24Represents the church
30:25As its ship
30:26Struggling against
30:27The winds
30:28Supported by
30:29Great fish
30:30In the sea beneath
30:31And with two doves
30:32Sitting on its mast
30:33And throw
30:35The shape
30:36Often given
30:37To Christian places
30:38Of worship
30:38In the early ages
30:39Was that of a boat
30:40And the idea
30:42Has entered
30:42Into Christian song
30:43And thought
30:45Keeble catches
30:46The tone
30:46Of the centuries
30:47When he inserts
30:48Into the evening hymn
30:50The following verse
30:52Thou framer
30:53Of light and dark
30:54Steer through the tempest
30:56Thine own ark
30:57Amid the howling
30:59Wintry sea
31:00We are in port
31:01If we have any
31:06The keynote
31:07Of all this symbolism
31:08Is given
31:09In the following
31:11Incident
31:14The sea was at rest
31:15When the disciples
31:16Took Jesus
31:17As he was
31:19As they sailed
31:20On the smooth waters
31:21The weary prophet
31:22Fell asleep
31:23On a sudden down
31:25Comes the squall
31:26One of those
31:27Furious hurricanes
31:28Which weep
31:30Across a lake
31:31Six hundred feet
31:32Lower than the ocean
31:33With gigantic funnels
31:35Supplied by the deep ravines
31:37Cut by the action
31:38Of wild watercourses
31:40All is changed
31:42There is heard now
31:43Only the despairing cry
31:44Master
31:45Do you not care
31:47That we perish
31:48Such is life
31:49Changeful now
31:51With the smiling sunshine
31:52With the clear blue sky
31:53Again the driving
31:55Cloud and rain
31:56With angry waves
31:57Breaking over the craft
32:02Job was at rest
32:03His sons and daughters
32:05Feasting together
32:06He himself
32:08With abundance
32:09And peace
32:10Fearing God
32:11And is doing evil
32:12When the one terrible day
32:14Came on which
32:15Messenger
32:16Chaste messenger
32:17Completing a tale
32:19Of destruction
32:19At the readment
32:21How often
32:22Does destruction
32:23Fall
32:23As in a moment
32:25The fitful weather
32:26Of the inland lake
32:27Is a type of
32:28Fitful climate
32:29Followed by the
32:30Rapidly dissolving
32:31Scenery
32:31Of the present time
32:34How foolish it is
32:36To set the affection
32:36On things below
32:37How sad
32:39When there is no
32:39Christ in a ship
32:40When there is no
32:41Fixture
32:42Amongst the sundry
32:43And many changes
32:44Of this world
32:45Where only the true
32:46Joys are to be fed
32:50The stilling of the
32:52Tempest is a miracle
32:53We seem to see
32:54The sleeping master
32:55Quietly raising himself
32:56Looking around
32:58Meeting the gaze
32:59Of the all but
33:00Frantic men
33:01Standing erect
33:02In a boat
33:02Sending forth
33:04The majestic
33:05Peace
33:06Be still
33:09What manner
33:10Of man is this
33:11For he commands
33:12Even the winds
33:12And the water
33:13And they obey him
33:15Yes
33:16What manner
33:17Of man
33:17He is himself
33:18The miracle
33:19The one made
33:20Of God
33:21To us
33:21Wisdom
33:22And righteousness
33:24Sanctification
33:24And redemption
33:26The work
33:27Is the sign
33:27Of himself
33:28In that deeper
33:29Work in which
33:30He is manifested
33:31As the saviour
33:31Of sinners
33:34What is that work
33:35But the rebuking
33:36Of the storm
33:36Of passion
33:37And all the influences
33:38Which are adverse
33:40To peace of mind
33:41And holiness of life
33:43Be still
33:44Is the Christ's word
33:45Peace to you
33:46Is the Christ's breath
33:49In the world
33:49Of man
33:50He makes the storm
33:51A calm
33:52So that the waves
33:53Thereof are still
33:56Then are they glad
33:57Because they are quiet
33:58So he brings them
33:59To their desired
34:00People
34:03Is this not
34:04The experience
34:05Of every truly
34:06Converted life
34:09And so for all
34:10The days
34:11Let Christ
34:12Be awakened
34:13Right
34:13And busted
34:15Though the tempest
34:16Beat into it
34:17Yet it not
34:18Win
34:18Or fill
34:19Thy ship
34:20Thy faith
34:21Will command
34:22The wind
34:22And the waves
34:23And the danger
34:24Will be over
34:26O see to it
34:27That you
34:28Take Christ
34:29Into your heart
34:30Even as he is
34:32Blessed for you
34:33O needy sinner
34:34When the master
34:35Is really the occupant
34:36Of your life
34:37Your present
34:38Help
34:39In trouble
34:44And then we have
34:45The reproof
34:45Of little faith
34:47Why are you so fearful
34:48Asked Jesus
34:51Why when you know
34:52Who is with you
34:53When you know
34:54That he is here
34:54That it is not
34:55Some enemy
34:56Some devil
34:56That has control
34:57Of the enemies
34:58Or circumstances
35:01Why are you so easily
35:03Cast down
35:04Why do you give way
35:05So readily
35:07Why do you fall
35:08Into such
35:08Despondence
35:09In such grief
35:11May we not
35:12In many an hour
35:13Of shrinking
35:14If not in terror
35:15Hear this
35:15Why
35:16Standing in our hearts
35:17Where is your faith
35:19Is the part of the word
35:21Reported by Luke
35:23Assume that you have it
35:24That you are really
35:25Trusting as Christ
35:26Your master
35:28Where does your faith
35:29Go
35:29When you are so fearful
35:31Is it not the moment
35:32Of trial
35:33That proves
35:34The readiness
35:34And service
35:35Upon us
35:35Of the faith
35:37Do we not
35:38Often need to
35:38Seek it
35:39When we have
35:40Occasion for it
35:42Verily a question
35:43Most pertinent to us
35:44In the varying
35:45Circumstances
35:46And demands
35:46Of our life
35:48Think
35:48Think over the adverbs
35:50So suggested
35:52Where is
35:53Your faith
35:58Let us pray
36:01O God
36:02For as much as
36:04Without you
36:04We are not able
36:06To please you
36:08Mercifully grant
36:09That your Holy Spirit
36:10May in all things
36:12Direct and rule
36:14Our hearts
36:14Through Jesus Christ
36:16Our Lord
36:17Amen
36:23May the Lord
36:24Bless us
36:25And keep us
36:26From all evil
36:27Bringing us
36:29To everlasting life
36:31Amen
