01:53I mean, she was winning races on the amateur level when they didn't have a professional women's series.

05:10But, Jason, last time we raced, we saw the improvement from Charlie in the last motocross,
05:14that she was able to pick up that opening lap speed, and I'm seeing the same thing here.
05:19She looks a lot more confident in herself, and Ricky, you got to believe,
05:23for her going down to be this close in the lead and Lachlan not getting away helps her out mentally
05:27a lot.

05:29We go back to believing.
05:31Coming up a little bit short there, Charlie did, but she had a nice save.
05:35But, yeah, she believes it, believing and knowing.

05:49Then you have Nielsen.
05:51And Hannah Hodges not backing down, even though she's lost these two positions,
05:55staying right there on the wheel, catching a toe from Charlie, doing a fantastic job.
06:02Now I'm sure they make a lot of improvements on the motorcycle, but the one thing, you know,
06:07with these bikes compared to the factory, they're really not set up to come up short on these triples.
06:13So the hits might be a little bit harder for, let's say, Charlie coming up short on that triple
06:18compared to the Kid Rocks because of different bike setups.
06:21Got to talk to Charlie Cannon yesterday about the opportunity,
06:24maybe more in the future for the WMX athletes.
06:30This weekend will be a nice eye-opener to show what us female athletes can offer.
06:37And if it all goes well, which I think it will,
06:41it'll just give us more opportunity to race on a world stage as well
06:46and be able to do more races, compete in more rounds.
06:50And, yeah, anything could really happen in the future.
06:53We just, every opportunity we have, we just take it with both hands and do our absolute best.

07:02It is growing, especially, James, when you think about our day.

07:49Nielsen had a big, what they call OJ, overjump on one of the doubles yesterday.

08:41and the suspension being able to handle it.
08:43So this is the diameter of some of these hard parts,
08:46whether it's triple clamps, whether it's forks,
08:49swing arm pivots, axles, you know,
08:52they're able to carry a little bit more of a load
08:54and, again, like James is saying, take more of a hit.
08:58Yeah, well, Jarvis said she's just running motocross suspension
09:02with the clickers as stiff as they can go.
09:04Nielsen doing the opposite,
09:05supercross suspension softened as much as they can
09:07as they try to adapt to the hybrid track.
09:10Nielsen was happy to have the supercross stuff
09:12when she overshot that landing.
09:14Great battle here, Jarvis trying to get fourth.

09:20as you've heard Ken Rockson say earlier,
09:22you can see by this angle the way this track continues to turn,
09:25so it makes it sometimes hard to make a pass
09:27unless a rider goes outside and makes a small mistake
09:30because of that angle.
09:31You don't want to end up tangling up,
09:33and both of you guys going down with the high speed.
09:38And Hodges still hanging tough in third,
09:41going for the podium here,
09:42and time running out, 20 seconds and a lot remains.
09:45Yeah, similar to what she was doing when she was in the lead,
09:47just out there riding her race,
09:49and if you're going to get by me,
09:51you're going to have to find a way, right?
09:53She's taking the preferred line,
09:54and that's a luxury you get when you're running up front
09:57and getting a good start.

11:23so she wasn't able to get the run, and that might be it.

11:33But the WMX Invitational goes to Lala Turner.

11:46Hannah Hodges puts it on the podium,
11:49and her time has come.
11:52It's this series that didn't exist when she was in her prime.
11:55She jumped back into racing on the professional level
11:58at the very end of the Pro Motocross campaign.
