00:08Paul, the revised plan cuts paid leave from 18 weeks to 12 and exempts businesses with fewer than 15 workers.
00:15Full-time employees would need six months on the job to qualify, while part-time workers would need 625 hours.

00:27We want to make sure that we are being proactive in this.
00:30Some of these things can sit at the state level and fall off the radar rather easily.
00:35But business groups remain concerned about the cost.
00:38Matt Knapper of the Northside North Shore Chamber of Commerce spoke against the original 18-week proposal at a June
00:45public hearing.
00:45Consider a neighborhood pizza shop with an annual revenue of $500,000 and a profit margin of just 10%.
00:51If one full-time employee takes a full 18 weeks paid leave, the combined cost of continuing the employee's paid
00:57benefits while also hiring replacement coverage could exceed $50,000.
01:03That single leave event could wipe out a business's entire annual profit pushed into loss.
01:07If approved by the Board of Health, the proposal would go to county council and then county executive Sarah Inamorato.

01:3821-year-old Jonathan Kramer, in shackles and wearing a red jumpsuit, waived his preliminary hearing.

01:47Kramer was arrested Saturday outside a Cranberry Township hotel where FBI agents say they found a rifle, ammunition, and dozens
01:54of knives in his room.
01:56Kramer lived with his parents in Valencia and neighbor Greg Squire told KDKA-TV.
