00:23So in this case, it was the facility that controls it for both Philly and Newark.
00:27Several flights were diverted to Pittsburgh and KDK-ATV interviewed some of the passengers affected by the outage.
00:33There was a lot of unknowns. I was looking online and things kept to be changing real time with what
00:38airports were leaving, which ones were taking flights and whatnot.
00:41So a bit frustrating today.
00:43More than 1,100 flights were canceled nationwide on Monday. Over 8,200 were delayed.
00:49A search warrant unsealed Monday alleges widespread awards of no-bid contracts to reward supporters of Ed Ganey while he
00:56was Pittsburgh mayor.
00:56Allegheny County DA Stephen Zappala served a series of warrants in March after allegations from a former City Council solicitor
01:04that scores of contracts awarded during the Ganey administration circumvented bidding laws.
01:10The contracts include $2 million in so-called Stop the Violence grants awarded to more than two dozen community organizations
01:17who supported Ganey's election.
01:19Those awards have been criticized for not requiring work performance documentation.
01:23The warrant also states the no-bid contracts contributed to the city's current fiscal condition.
01:30A New Kensington police officer, Nathaniel Cochran, has resigned from his position amid a multi-layered investigation into allegations of
01:38excessive force.

01:43Paul, the investigation stems from a violent confrontation during a trespassing response.
01:48Police confronted 55-year-old Anthony De La Rosa, who was reportedly picking apples near an abandoned home.
01:55According to police reports, De La Rosa resisted being handcuffed and allegedly tried to bite Cochran's thigh.
02:02Cochran responded by delivering multiple elbow strikes to De La Rosa's face.
02:07De La Rosa was hospitalized with severe facial injuries.
02:10After initially being placed on administrative suspension, Cochran submitted his resignation, and the city council formally approved it last night.

02:22State police say a 67-year-old Westmoreland County woman was scammed out of $5,000 by a caller she
02:29believed to be a Secret Service agent.

02:34She told troopers that she believed the calls were legitimate because of the area code.
02:39The victim told police the calls were from Washington, D.C., and the fictitious agent told the woman to place
02:44money in a safe place as part of the federal case.
02:47The woman purchased several gift cards and told police she had been sworn to secrecy and told not to contact
02:52any law enforcement agencies.
