00:00The Housing Authority of Pittsburgh is poised to name a new executive director despite an ongoing ethics investigation in Oregon.

00:10Paul, the board is expected to vote today on Ivory Matthews,
00:14who resigned in May as head of Portland's Housing Authority after reports she spent more than $100,000 in public
00:21money on travel.
00:22An Oregon ethics investigation found she arrived at some destinations days early
00:27and used a public credit card for expenses investigators say were unrelated to authority business.
00:34The investigation is also examining allegations she used airline miles and hotel rewards for personal benefit.
00:41Pittsburgh board members are not commenting ahead of the vote.
00:44If approved, Matthews would take over October 1st from longtime director Castor Binion.

00:53A suspect is in custody after a double stabbing in Edgewood.
00:56County police say 911 was called around 10.30 a.m. about the stabbings in the 700 block of Linden
01:02Avenue.
01:03First responders took a man and a woman to hospitals, both in critical condition.
01:08Shot spotter alerted police to 20 rounds fired around 7.45 p.m. in Garfield.
01:14Officers sent to the 4900 block of Kincade Street found a man next to a vehicle who was shot in
01:20the chest, arm, and leg.
01:21He was taken to a hospital in critical condition but later upgraded to stable condition.
01:26And a fight between four girls in Market Square on Wednesday evening resulted in two stabbings.
01:32Investigators say one of the teens cut a girl in the throat and stabbed another in the hand.
01:36A witness said the girl with the superficial neck wound had a taser.
01:41Officers used pepper spray to break up that fight and police chief Jason Lando told KDKA-TV.
01:46I don't know if they have a beef with each other, but they know each other, so again, this wasn't
01:51any sort of a random act.
01:53Three of the girls will be cited and the teen accused in the stabbings will be charged with attempted homicide.
01:58Duquesne Light Company's union workers have voted to authorize a strike that could begin in a few days if an
02:04agreement is not reached.
02:05The IBEW Local 29 contract expires on September 30th, and the union says Duquesne Light told them they plan to
02:12bring in out-of-state non-union workers to prepare for a strike.
02:17State Representative Mandy Steele told KDKA's Colin Dunlap in the event of a strike, she's concerned how much longer it
02:23would take to restore power after a big storm.
02:25And this equation where the utility providers are trucking in out-of-state line crews after a big storm, in
02:33many cases that results in additional multiple days of outage for people when these storms hit.
02:38Steele says Duquesne Light should be staffing up their teams of linemen, not scaling back.

02:53The affidavit for a search warrant filed by Allegheny County District Attorney Stephen Sopala was released on Monday.
02:59There were over 7,000 documents taken from the city.
03:02The affidavit and the current mayor alleged Ganey's administration was overestimating revenue and underestimating expenses.
03:08There are also claims of bid-rigging and giving public money to political allies.
03:12Attorney Chris Capozzi tells KDKA's Colin Dunlap the DA must feel he has a strong case.
03:17They go through that process and they are very deliberative in their actions.
03:22They want to bring cases they think they can win.
03:25Allegations of securities law violations could also open the door for a federal investigation.
