00:24If this does pass, I think preemptive layoffs could occur.
00:28Businesses will relocate to other counties. Staffing will be cut.

00:39The public comment period runs until the 16th.
00:42After the hearing, Public Health Director Dr. Yulia Vaughn issued a statement saying,

01:23Drivers on the Pennsylvania Turnpike can expect big changes ahead as the Turnpike moves closer to eliminating traditional tollbooths.

01:39with the expansion of open road tolling, says Turnpike spokesperson Marissa Urbanik.
01:44Open road tolling launches system-wide on the PA Turnpike system in 2027.
01:49We're officially have ORT live east of Redding and along the Northeast Extension now, and that went live in 2025.
01:57But ORT really adds that flexibility for our interchanges.
02:00She says the change is expected to improve traffic flow, reduce congestion, and enhance safety
02:05by eliminating the need for drivers to slow down or stop.
02:09Construction is expected to reach the Pittsburgh region this summer.

02:15The Berg Proud Challenge, a movement during the month of June encouraging Pittsburghers to rally together
02:19in support of neighbors facing hunger across southwestern Pennsylvania, just received some very big news.
02:25Brian Goulish is vice president of marketing and communications for the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank.
02:29We're grateful to receive a phone call from Mark Cuban and the Mark Cuban Foundation,
02:33and they heard about the work that we were doing with the Berg Proud Challenge,
02:36and obviously Mark being from Pittsburgh, never forgetting his roots,
02:40made a $100,000 donation to the Berg Proud Challenge.
02:43So that's absolutely tremendous.
02:45And he tells the Big K Morning Show that thanks to the Richard King Mellon Foundation's dollar-for-dollar match,
02:50the gift will generate a total impact of $200,000 for local families facing hunger.
02:54The hashtag Berg Proud Challenge runs through the month of June.
