00:00I'm Paul Rasmussen. Police paperwork says a 19-year-old man is the main cause of violent
00:05crimes in downtown Pittsburgh. Giovanni Moore has been charged with crimes 10 times this month. In
00:11fact, on Friday, Moore is accused of punching two women and assaulting a man. He's charged with
00:16robbery, assault, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, and drug possession in the most recent
00:21incident. Moore was able to, unable rather, to post bail and is being held in the Allegheny County
00:26Jail. Previous arrests this month include public drunkenness for stealing tip jars from downtown
00:32businesses. Also, Moore has been arrested in Homestead and Munhall. A 21-year-old man was
00:38killed in a shooting last night in East Pittsburgh. This happened around 5.15 p.m. in the 700 block
00:43of
00:44Grandview Avenue. First responders say Cornell Harris was shot in the chest inside a home. He was taken
00:49to Forbes Regional and pronounced dead a few minutes before 6. Detectives say a shooter and another
00:55person fled the crime scene towards Franklin Street. Anyone with information about the killing
01:00can call 1-833-ALL-TIPS. The Allegheny County Sheriff has pulled deputies from guarding hospitalized
01:07inmates, raising concerns about staffing at the county jail. With details on that, here's News Radio
01:13KDKA's Tamira Rush. Paul, Sheriff Kevin Krause says his deputies stopped guarding inmates at hospitals
01:19more than a week ago, where they provide security when someone from the county jail needs medical
01:24care. The Tribune Review reports corrections officers are now filling those shifts, adding pressure to an
01:30already understaffed jail. Krause says he pulled his deputies over overtime costs and safety concerns
01:36tied to a new policy that alerts families when an inmate is hospitalized, which he says could bring
01:42visitors to the hospital. I reached out to the sheriff for additional comment, but have not yet heard
01:47back. In the newsroom, Tamira Rush News Radio, KDKA. Allegheny County's nuisance bar task force will meet with
01:53the owners of a Southside bar today. Capos could lose its liquor license after a woman who was drinking
01:59there earlier this month became inebriated and was led outside by security guards. They did not check to see if
02:05she
02:06was safe or help her get a ride. Surveillance video shows a man then took her across the street to
02:11a parking lot,
02:12and raped her. District Attorney Steven Zapala said today's meeting is for a discussion about a change of direction at
02:18the nightclub.
02:19We're not playing around with these guys anymore. Hopefully we'll get some, we'll get some things understood as to if
02:24they're going to continue to operate, they cannot operate the way they're operating.
02:27Capos first opened in 2024 and was previously investigated as a nuisance bar just last year.
02:33Zapala says a petition asking a judge to determine whether Capos is a nuisance establishment has been prepared, but whether
02:40it will be executed will be determined.
02:42After today's meeting, the owner of the San Francisco 49ers was arrested over the weekend, just over the border in
02:48Ohio.
02:49ABC's Trevor Alt has details.
02:52Court records say Jed York was taken into custody in East Palestine Sunday at 9.35 a.m.
02:58With authorities saying he responded to an ad placed by an undercover agent on a prostitution website arranging sexual activity
03:05for $140.
03:06Police say York agreed to meet up at that trailer park and was arrested there with the phone he allegedly
03:13used to respond to the ad.
03:15York has pleaded no contest to downgraded misdemeanor charges.
03:18An NFL spokesperson said the matter will be reviewed under the league's personal conduct policy.
